Date: Tue, 26 Dec 1995 22:53:09 CST From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 12/22/95 GH Update for 12/22/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC + /|\ //|#\ /&/|\\\ ///%|\\$\ /*///|\$\\\ HAPPY HOLIDAYS ///?//|\\\#\\ AND A //&///$|\\+\\\\ JOYOUS NEW YEAR /#///^//|\\\\\%\\ TO ////+////|\\$\\\\\\ GH RATSA READERS ///$////%/|\?\\\\\+\\ //////#////|\\\\#\\\\\\ ///+//////&/|\\\\\\\\%\\\ ///////#/////|\\\$\\\\\\\&\ ///#///////%//|\\\\\\\&\\\\\\ ||| ||| _______________________________________________________ Scene 1 New roomies, Sonny and Mike discover their respective morning faces. Scene 2 The Q's admire their Christmas tree and head for the GH party. Scene 3 At GH, Kevin and Lucy smooch up a storm until Bobbie interrupts, and she and Lucy exchange a few unseasonable greetings. After Bobbie leaves, Kevin surprises Lucy with a present of a trip to "Duckling Island." Scene 4 Monica tells Alan she wants them back together, but it won't come soon or easily. Alan agrees to be patient [like he hasn't been already]. Scene 5 Sonny questions Mike's eclectic decor choices, especially that of a clothes tree made from the felled limb of a real tree. When Mike tries to explain his theory of clothes, Sonny comments that he can call it what he will, but Mike is just a slob. Scene 6 Back at GH, Alan and Tom argue over who will sit in for the ailing Steve Hardy who can't be there [Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus] and tell the Christmas story. Eventually, Tom pleads that he needs to do it, so Alan relents. Robin and Mac reminisce about Stone. Everyone carols and gathers around for Tom's version of the Christmas Story [which mercifully I'll omit]. After Tom's story, Damian steps up and makes a public self-serving speech while presenting his annual contribution to GH. When Lucy buttonholes him to criticize his self-aggrandizing, Damian takes the opportunity to taunt Kevin who makes a move to mix it up with him [ooh, brainy and macho]; however, Alan intervenes and asks Damian to leave. Scene 7 Sonny comes to see Rivera and tells him he made a decision. He says he will accept the deal and marry LeeLee. Scene 8 Brenda visits Mike to talk about Sonny. [In the Brenda/Lily battle, I'm firmly on Lily's side] Scene 9 Emily, and the Q-men argue about the electric train. Alan is a holdout for the traditional circle around the tree, but Emily demonstrating her developing talent for male manipulation begs Alan for a larger run. Eventually, he agrees to everyone's delight (even his own). Scene 10 A pathetic Brenda [am I being redundant?] questions Mike about where Sonny got the bail money. She insists he loves her [so what, her love won't keep the jail door open], but something is wrong. Scene 11 Sonny goes to see LeeLee. He tells her they will be good together, and she replies that she will see to it. He suggests they take a low profile until the grand jury meets, and she agrees. Scene 12 Mac, having found Kevin's travel brochure accidentally [not knowing whose it was], suggests to Katherine to go there to be safe, and he would visit her. He says it's only two hours from PC [by what the Space Shuttle?] Scene 13 A forlorn Lois talks to Ned by phone. She says the airport is closed so she can't make it back, and he can't fly in. She asks for him to talk dirty to her, no just joking, she asks for him to sing her a song, so to pictures of the various PC denizens enjoying Christmas, Ned warbles "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas."
