From: siggy@netcom.com (Paul Fritschle) Subject: GH: Update for Wednesday, December 13th Date: Thu, 14 Dec 1995 00:09:27 GMT Breakfast at Tiffany's AJ is down in the dumps (probably hung-over, based on yesterday's show), and the rest of the family isn't any happier. Even Lila is in a dour mood. In comes Edward, in a jovial mood. The rest of the family takes jabs at him over the L&B records deal. Emily wanders in and wonders what Edward has done now. They fill her in. Emily starts bawling Edward out, really going after him in true Quartermaine style. Edward appeals for help from the family, but they won't intervene for him. Edward gives Em some grandfatherly advice, and tells her that "Business is business" and "Children should be seen and not heard." The rest of the family egg Em on, with Lila telling Edward that her 'nice days' are over. Emily keeps it up, finally telling Edward to "blow it out your ear". Edward tells her that only Lois can tell him that. "Consider it said," Lois chimes in, blowing into the room, Nedly in tow. Emily asks Lois if she is ok, Lois assures here they are. The rest of the family start to leave, but not before Edward throws a low blow at AJ, and suggests to Alan that they get a governess for Emily. Alan counters, saying that Edward should really consider a bodyguard. Lois and Nedly tell Edward that they are here to give him a second chance. Lois is being very nice. Extremely nice. Scarily nice. She is all sweetness and light, telling Edward that her mother always said you catch more flies with honey, then she grabs him by the lapels and yells into his face, demanding he return L&B to her. Edward appears a bit startled and flustered, but says he won't give it back, or the leather pants. He then *orders* Lois to calm down. (Big mistake. All through this scene she is j abbing Edward in the chest with her finger, leading to various comments about her stabbing him, puncturing lungs, etc.) Lois threatens to surround the Q mansion with 10,000 screaming fans, with herself mic'd up enough that she can be heard in Pittsburgh. Edward looks a bit unsure about this one. Nedly takes a stab at things, and says he can just use a different name to sing under. Edward says that he'll sue him if he tries it. Lois says that's it, and Edward draws a line in the sand. At the Foundation Justus and Keisha exchange pleasantries. She is worried and needs his advice. She tells him she thinks that AJ is drinking again. (Finally--someone has a clue!) She isn't sure what she should do, or how to help. Justus tells her the first thing she has to do is to help herself--do what she needs to do. Keisha thinks she needs to tell Jason about AJ, but worries that Jason, Alan and Edward will all come down hard on AJ. (You know, that is probably what he needs, actually. He is incapable of seeking help on his own--it is time for the Q's to send him off to that Sanitarium/Clinic again for a few months. Last time he was there, he came back a new man! (-8 ) Keisha blams the Foundation scandal for AJ's falling off the wagon; Justus worries she is blaming herself. At this point, AJ comes in bearing bagels and coffee. Justus wanders off, leaving Keisha and AJ to discuss what happened last night. AJ apologizes, but Keisha says that she'll mind her own business. AJ tells her no, she's a friend, then asks her what she would do if he *was* drinkiing again? Tell the family? Keisha isn't sure what she'd do. Maybe tell Jason, maybe take AJ to meetings. AJ changes the subject, and tells Keisha about Emily tearing into Edward back at the mansion. AJ tells her how good he does with Keisha at his side. At this point, Jason comes in, and gets immediately jealous. After a few jabs at each other, AJ leaves. Jason lets Keisha know he is jealous, but then softens and says that he is glad she can be there for AJ. They then profess their eternal, undying love for each other, and lock lips. Prince's Palace Brenda shows up unexpectedly yet again, but this time Prince is there. She immediately starts tearing into him about the L&B business, blaming him. (Yeah, right. Prince may be scum, but she should check the mirror if she wants to see who is really at fault!) She tells Prince that he intentionally set the sale up to hurt her, rather than taking the easy way out (I suppose she means letting Nedly buy him out.) Brenda says she was stupid to have trusted him--Prince managed to unload L&B and settle a few scores at the same time. She's furious at Prince and Edward. Well, actually, not at Prince. Seems she woke up at 4AM, and realized that since now he betrayed her trust, they're even! (I suggest a new nickname for Brenda--Cleopatra... the Queen of Denial!) Cleo tells Prince that he has to let her help him with his troubles. He is suspicious, and thinks she is trying to set him up. He then accuses her of wearing another wire! (Is that a wire in your blouse? Nah.. just an asp!(sorry--bad joke, but I couldn't resist.)) Cleo angrily shoves Prince away, telling him that she isn't wired. She tells him that she will always be there for him as a friend, and offers him money if he needs it for his problems, and whatever else he might need. Prince tells her now way, keep the money and everything else. She leaves, but tells Prince that she was being truthful, and challenges him to do the same. Stone's ghost appears, and tells Prince, "That was so lame.". (Hmm.. all these ghosts at the Penthouse--maybe Madame Maya should have stopped in and visited while she was in town...) Prince tells Stone that everything is under control--he's handling it. Stone says he's worried about him, and thinks Prine is looking bad. Prince says he's just working hard. Stone counters, saying yeah, working hard at hiding yoru feelings. He tells Prince that he really wanted Cleo to stay. Prince says he has no time for feelings, they'd lead to him making mistakes and taking a fall. Stone tells him to let Cleo get close to him. Robin wanders in at this point. (Thankfully! This whole ghostly visitation thing is getting old.) Robin is going to give some of Stone's things to his friends. Prince hands her Stone's glasses--she thinks she knows who to give them too. She gives Prince Stone's rings. Prince keeps one, and will give the other to Mac. Robin hugs Prince, and tahnks him for everything. Thank you for calling L&B Records, now under new ownership.... Cleo is sitting around the gatehouse when Robin shows up. Cleo is glad to see her. Robin gives her Stone's wallet. Cleo gets all misty-eyed, and remembers when Prince gave it to Stone. Robin can tell that she visited Prince earlier--she could see it in both of them. She tells Cleo not to give up. Prince is crazy for her, and Stone said it would work out. They decide to go to Kelly's. As they are getting ready to leave, Lois and Nedly show up, with Lois still at full boil. Robin gives Nedly a vest and a poster, and gives Lois a t-shirt, then she and Cleo go off to Kelly's. Lois says that Stone wants them to get L&B back, and is going to buy out Ick's contract from Zapata. But she has no money. Nedly gets that oily smile, and turns the dimples on full. Lois says No no no! She isn't using that money! Nedly points out that it would be terrific to use the Q money to nail Edward. Lois sees the light, and is off to Argentina! Ghostly visits abound! Stone show up again at the Penthouse, and talks more to Sonny. Blah blah blah. (sorry.. I can't handle much more of this...) Sonny isn't sure what the future will hold Cleo is sitting alone at Kelly's. (Where is Robin?) She is holding the wallet, and talking to Stone.. she isn't sure what to do. Stone appears, and tells her not to give up on Prince. Paul Fritschle siggy@netcom.com Puritanism--The haunting fear that someone, somewhere may be happy. -H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)
