Subject: GH: Update Thursday November 16

Oh, it's another late update, due to my husband being furloughed and
wanting to PLAY. It's been fun, but I haven't had a chance to catch up,
and I wanted to see Wednesday before writing up Thursday, even with Nancy's
great update. I wanted to see for myself that all the people who answered
me about Mac's motives were right. Heck, I still have to see Friday's
episode. When he (my husband, not Mac!) retires for real, we're going to
have to set some ground rules about me getting to see GH in a timely manner!

This one is in the form of a scavenger hunt. Can you spy the *two* lies
about alcohol use, the *two* times the children sort out the adults, and
the *one* heretical statement by the updater?

1. We start out with Sonny and Robin watching over Stone, all three asleep.
Stone wakes up and is a bit ditzy: he's worried about getting
"downstairs" to work at LUKE'S on time. Robin, concerned, goes to call
Tony, and is informed that this is a common side effect of lymphoma.
They are to talk to him and he'll come back. So she reminds Stone of
their dream farmhouse, which confuses him. Sonny sends her off and tells
Stone that Luke called and doesn't need him today. And besides, that's
labor unworthy of him, he's going to be a big wheel record executive, and
what kind of car would be fitting?
Mac comes to see Robin, and asks about Stone. He hugs Robin and
asks "Are you holding on OK?" "I'm holding on for dear life", she
replies. When she's gone back to a now-sleeping Stone, Mac asks "Robbie,
where are you when I need you?" and a blond (quite a shock) Robert
teleports in from Babylon 5 and says "I'm right here." The
memory-of-Robert and Mac discuss that Mac has NOT failed, that Robin is a
lovely young lady, that Mac is still needed. Revitalized, Mac goes in
and spells Sonny, telling him to go get some rest. They bond on some
level, both with sick people they love.

2. Emily and Lucky are at the Spencer's house. Lucky is making pancakes and
a mess, simultaneously, but needs milk. He goes off and Emily looks at
the TV. She sees the news about Alan being in the hospital, leaves a
note, and heads off. When Lucky returns he sees the note, and then he
sees Foster. Oh, no, they've come back early. He hides while Luke and
Laura come in. They spot the mess, but no Lucky, till they see Foster
with his nose stuck on the closet door. Aha. So they stage a fight
about the caper till Lucky can't stand it any more and comes out yelling
"STOP IT!" "Gotcha!" says his Dad. There's a lot of talk about the
trip, the worry, the family, and it's Luke and Laura's anniversary. (HINT:
heretical statement coming up!) ****blech****

3. In the hospital room, Alan is in bed holding his head, and Edward is in
full spate. "So, unless you're actually dying ... I'd rather focus on
this latest family scandal!" Ned comes in with AJ, whose court date is
Thursday the 30th, and this could be beyond bribery, this is a felony
charge. AJ is concerned about his father, and is apologetic, who knew
one tiny slipup would be like this. Obviously he can't do it alone
and needs to go back to his meetings (major revelation there!) Monica
wants to know how long he's been drinking, and AJ lies. Just those
two drinks today. Nasty Ned (who is back with a vengeance these days)
points out quite rightly that AJ is still blaming everyone else, and the
fight escalates, with Alan yelling "THIS IS A SICKROOM!" till Emily, at the
door, shouts "GOOD GRIEF!!" Edward says "It's about time." Emily goes to
Alan and hugs him and asks if he's all right. Monica asks her what she
wants to do, and she tells them of her adventures. She tells about the
snake and how she missed her Mom and how if she died she'd never get to
tell them she knew how hard they'd tried. She is willing to try again,
if they will have her. Sydney the Bear and Ned tickle her.

4. Simone, at the hospital, tells Justus they forgot it was Tommy's
birthday, which is traditionally shared at Steve and Audrey's, since it
is also Tom's birthday and Steve's birthday. Justus says he doesn't want
to award Tom's juvenile behavior, which of course Tom overhears and
comments on. Later, at the senior Hardy's, Tom lies about how much HE
had been drinking in Philadelphia, saying it was too much to handle. He
gives Tommy a snake book.
