Proposals, Threats and Promises Report on the Chess Game ------------------------ Luke calls Monica from Albuquerque and explains the Chicago stop and the expected/unexpected travels of Lucky and Emily. Unfortunately Emily and Lucky aren't at the most expensive hotel in Albuquerque as he and Laura expected (Luke and Laura are) but in the morning they'll be hot on the youngsters trail. Also there is no Cory Gibbons in the phone book. He'll keep Monica informed. Cracks in the Wall? ------------------- Brenda stops by the penthouse to visit Stone. When Robin tries to explain "where" Sonny is, Brenda figures out he's with Lily. Robin lets Brenda know she understands how Brenda could fall in love with Sonny as Robin has seen Sonny's big heart. Robin also thinks she understands why Sonny pushed Brenda away. Like Stone, who worries about putting/having put Robin at risk, Robin thinks Sonny pushed Brenda away to keep her safe. Upstairs Brenda admits to Stone that she's going to have a hard time without him. Stone gets Brenda to promise to always take care of Robin and as they hug Sonny returns with some Cherry Garcia ice cream. With Brenda there he makes himself scarce downstairs. Before Brenda leaves Stone has something to say to her. He knows she and Sonny still love each other. Stone sees Sonny's friendship with Lily as one that happened because Sonny and Lily are alike and because Lily's been there for Sonny when he needed support. Stone figures neither Sonny or Brenda wants to make the first move towards each other. Once Stone is gone there will be cracks in the wall that Sonny and Brenda have built between each other. Stone hopes that Brenda will reach through those cracks once he is gone. Stone really wants them together and figures when he's gone the opportunity will be there. When Brenda goes to leave she stops to talk to Sonny but he stops her. He can't handle what's going on with Stone, let alone anything else. Proposals, Threats and Promises ------------------------------- Mac and Katherine check out Mac's competition for dinner. With Sonny off for the night and Luke out of town Mike gives them the royal treatment. Mac has a proposal for Katherine but not the flower girls and rice kind of proposal. He wants to propose romance. He's not pleased to hear Katherine can't get away till spring, until after CS Emporium is off the ground. Katherine tells Mac about being unable to quit working for Damian and the threats that Damian once again made. Mac is ready to confront Damian but Katherine wants him to back off, she doesn't want him to be her white knight. Meanwhile at GH Simone is asking Tom to babysit Tommy for a few days while she's in Philly for Mary Mae's concert. But that won't do. Tom says he's taking Felicia to Philly. Simone is surprised to hear that since she had talked to Felicia in the morning and Filly had said nothing about going to hear Mary May. When Simone brings up Tom's reaction to the board's decision about Dr. Dorman Tom learns that Simone voted with Steve to reprimand Dorman instead of firing him. Tom doesn't understand the teach compassion with compassion concept instead of compassion for the patient and warns that Steve is in for a rude awakening from the staff of GH. Simone suggests Tom have compassion for his father but Tom doesn't since his father hasn't shown Tom any compassion. Over at the Outback Felicia offers a sympathetic ear to Lucy and she and Lucy talk of the weirdness of Kevin and Mac lately. Kevin for not respecting Lucy and Mac for seeing something in Katherine. Lucy figures she fell in love with a different Kevin. Felicia chalks it up to something in the water. Hmmmm. It's actually a friendly conversation. Tom shows up and wants to take Filly of Philly. He thinks she needs a little fun. Filly wonders if he isn't asking her to get be in Simone's face as she has noticed that Tom always makes sure Felicia is "with Tom" when Simone is around. Tom claims no. Filly won't say yes until she talks with Simone. He points out if she goes Mac won't be able to leave the Outback to go out with Katherine. (This after Mac once again asks Felicia to close up.) Mac and Katherine return from LUKE'S. When Damian comes in Lucy willingly follows him to a table. Damian tries to cheer Lucy by "being" a genie and soliciting wishes from Lucy since Lucy has done him a kindness. Meanwhile Katherine admits she hates Lucy but doesn't wish Damian on her. When Damian heads for the mens room Mac tries to talk Lucy away from Damian with reports of Damian's threats against Katherine. Lucy isn't buying and when Damian returns he claims Katherine is just making it up out of jealously and possessiveness. Lucy tries to let Damian know she's with not him, well with him, actually just sitting with him. Right, sure Lucy. For the rest of their time at the Outback Lucy's mind seems to be going...has Mac made an impression, even a little one? Damian offers to escort Lucy to her apartment but she turns him down. When Damian leaves he passes by Katherine and tells her she's crossed the line. After he's gone Katherine speculates that Damian thinks she has told Mac Damian's secrets. Mac figures that makes for as much danger as Mac actually knowing. Mac decides they need to talk and about getting Damian out of Katherine's life and escorts her out of the Outback after asking Felicia to close up.
