GH: Week-Late Update for Monday, Nov. 6, 1995
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the university's registration office, Emily and Lucky find out that
Corinne Gibbons was accepted into the class of 1990, but she didn't
graduate.  After her freshman year, she transferred.
Luke and Laura wing their way to Boston on the ELQ jet.  They try to
anticipate where Lucky would choose to stay.  Laura starts rummaging
through her Bag of Tricks, pulling out items such as a hammer, a
flame-thrower, and wouldn't you know it, a traveler's guide to Boston.
At the Outback, Katherine tells Mac how she admires Lucky's courage to
take on Emily's problems.  Then she rips pages out of her calendar,
telling Mac she's going to replace them with a page from Lucky's
book...she's going to disappear.  She's afraid for her life and feels a
need to protect herself from Damian.  Mac insists she's not going
anywhere.  He reassures her with a pep-talk and gets her to promise she
won't take off.
Katherine leaves just as Kevin walks in, distracted.  He tells Mac he'll
get Lucy back and away from Damian any way he can.
Laura and Luke decide Lucky would've chosen the most expensive hotel with
24-hour room service.  Luke reminds her that Lucky's objective is to put
his mom and dad together, for as long as possible, in hopes of a
reconciliation.
The registration attendant tells Emily & Lucky that Corinne transferred to
the University of Albuquerque and gives them her forwarding address.
After the kids leave, another registration worker comes by and says "Do
you remember the Gibbons scandal?"  The attendant replies "Who could
forget a nasty business like that."
Alan and Monica hover over the phone waiting for a call from the
Spencers.  Monica blathers on about all the wrong ways she tried to help
Emily, wishing she could start over from the beginning and be more patient
with her.
In their hotel suite, Lucky makes plane reservations for Ken & Barbara.
He leaves a not-so-obvious clue for Luke to find indicating they're headed
to Albuquerque (the old pencil-engraving-on-a-pad trick), then leaves
false trail by reserving a limo, indicating they may be headed elsewhere.
Kevin & Mac banter about how he might go about winning Lucy back.  Mac
suggests he lie to her to at least reopen the lines of communication.
Alan compliments Monica on her necklace and asks who gave it to her.  She
tells him it was Edward.  Lila wheels in and gets in a fret over what
Lucky and Emily are doing.
In Lucky's hotel room, Luke & Laura search for clues.  The bath mat is
still wet so they're not far behind the kids.  Laura checks for etchings
on the note pad Lucky left and gets the flight number to Albuquerque.
Luke calls and finds out they reserved a limo to the south station.
Alan asks Monica if Edward really gave her the pearl necklace.  She
replies that honestly, she doesn't know.
Kevin drops in on Lucy at Deception.  She asks him to leave, but he wants
a few minutes to explain himself.  He admits to making mistakes.  He tells
her he believes her spiritual gifts are real.  She doesn't want too, but
she sees right through him...or around him; she sees his icky green aura.
She says she recognizes the colors and she's looking at the aura of a
liar.
Katherine visits Damian to tell him she's resigning her position with the
CS Emporium effective immediately and she refuses to work for him any
longer.  He says she can't leave; she says she can't stay.  He then goes
on to explain the situation a bit further...she knows he's running his
father's business with Sonny with his enforcer.  He can't afford any weak
links, and that's her.  Unless she suddenly stops breathing, she's still
on his payroll.
Kevin insists to Lucy that he loves her and that's not a lie.  She throws
him out.
Luke & Laura are on the ELQ jet to Albuquerque.  Luke figures Lucky is
still two steps ahead of them, and he's darn proud of his son.
