From: njs@lhdsy2.lahabra.chevron.com (N.J.Spera) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, October 25, 1995 Date: 26 Oct 1995 16:22:10 GMT GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, October 25, 1995 Today's Stories A Little Flirting The Doc Is Baffled Consequences of Ships Passing Fool Me Once Shame on You.... A Little Flirting ----------------- Luke is surprised by Laura's visit to the club. She wants to know why Luke was dropping Lucky off past midnight the night before, especially since she hadn't even known Lucky had left. Lucky won't tell her what happened. She hopes Luke will. All Luke will say is that Lucky was freaked out that Luke was abandoning her and the kids. When he won't say more claiming father/son confidentiality Laura seems to flirt with him to get Luke to reveal what he told Lucky. She can't believe Luke wonders if she misses him. Laura's off to a school conference with Lucky's teachers and turns down Luke's offer to accompany her. The Doc Is Baffled ------------------ Alan visits Stone's room with test results that show Stone does not have toxo. Alan is baffled as to what has caused Stone's seizures. Stone rages at Alan for putting Stone on steroids for no good reason. Alan tries to point out if it had been toxo, an aggressive treatment with steroids couldn't have waited. Robin is frightened as Stone has another seizure. When next we are in Stone's room Tony is checking out Stone. Tony's recommendation is a brain biopsy. The steroids will also be stopped. Tony explains the procedure beginning with the haircut Stone will have to have. Stone gives his consent and Tony will schedule surgery for the next morning. Consequences of Ships Passing ----------------------------- Monica is rereading the "secret admirer" note when Emily comes into the den. Despite Emily's assertion that Monica doesn't have to join Alan at Emily's school for the teacher conference Monica is going because she wants to. Monica then reminds Emily about Emily's interview next week with the social worker about the adoption. Alan and Monica have already had theirs and once Emily's had hers and the worker makes a recommendation to the judge then all that's left is to make it official. Emily wonders about her aunt. Monica reveals that they tried to locate Paige's sister by placing ads in a Boston newspaper (the last address Paige had had for her sister) and in a national paper as well. So far, nothing. Monica points out that they didn't have to do it. Emily notices Monica's gift and when asked who it came from Monica says she doesn't know. When Monica heads off to get ready to go out Emily notices "the note" on the floor, picks it up and reads it. Me thinks she'd like a secret admirer. Later Emily leads Raoul out onto the patio where she's to meet Lucky to teach Raoul a new trick. Monica comes into the den and is followed shortly by Ned. When she mentions she about to leave he makes a comment about always being ships passing. When Ned asks how Monica is she tries to pass it off but does tell him the truth, terrible. Between Alan and Emily nothing is right and Monica is worried that Emily thinks the adoption may be a big mistake. Out on the patio, Emily overhears the conversation...and agrees. She's also concerned when she hears Monica wonder if she and Alan can get past the accumulation of problems they've had over the years even though Monica's first priority is to make a family for Emily. Ned advises Monica to not to expect too much too soon. Monica is grateful for Ned's friendship. Monica then asks if Ned send the pastel. But no, Ned didn't. When she fingers the note he manages read it and agrees with the sentiment, he loves her face. In fact he loved it in the past as well. With that both acknowledge their fond memories of their affair. Oops....outside on the patio Emily's jaw drops. Later Emily and Lucky come in from teaching Raoul his new trick. Lucky can see Emily is down, bigtime. It's about the adoption. When he suggests she talk with Lois, Emily reponds with a big no. Emily thinks maybe she should get out of there. Fool Me Once Shame on You.... ----------------------------- Maia visits Damian to tell him of the cleansing session. Damian just smiles when he hears the evening ended badly for Kevin and Lucy. Damian's fear that Maia might have implicated him when she confesses to being after Lucy's $$ to Lucy is alleviated but Damian's not completely pleased. When Maia asks to be paid her final payment Damian refuses because it is still to be seen if Lucy is "Damian's." He suggests she get out of town and to not cross his path again. Before she leaves however Maia warns Damian that using fear to inspire loyalty is a method that will ultimately backfire. Meanwhile over at Lucy's Kevin manages to get Lucy to open in the door but all attempts to apologize and explain are rebuffed. Lucy doesn't appreciate being humiliated. She equates Kevin with Maia orders him away slamming the door in his face. Downstairs in the Outback very edgy Katherine has arrived for moral support from Mac after her confrontation with Damian the day before. (oop....the one I missed for that freeway chase.) Mac is ready to go defend Katherine's honor but she doesn't want that from Mac. Katherine knows a little cunning is what is needed when dealing with Damian. Mac gets her laughing and in comes Kevin. When Katherine sees they need to talk she takes herself away to the end of the bar. Kevin is beating himself up over the cleansing fiasco. Ned comes in but Katherine tells him to take a number if he wants to talk to Mac. She tries to be civil and but then asks Ned how long he juggled her and Katherine. Ned wonders at the question...at the time it seemed an eternity (sure did) but figures 6-7 months. Katherine has a new respect for Ned. When Ned learns Kevin and Mac are discussing Lucy he figures he'd better come back later and leaves, only after making a comment about Katherine being left waiting again. She's not sure what Ned means and he has to remind her...Damian. Hmmm....Ned are you behind the times. Upstairs Lucy has other visitors. First it's Maia to apologize and she manages to get Lucy to let her in. Lucy listens but doesn't buy Maia's words especially when Maia tells Lucy that Kevin loves Lucy to distraction under that cold intellect. Before leaving Maia begs Lucy to be on guard, to be careful and to trust her instincts. After Maia is gone Lucy is visted by Damian who had been advised by Maia that Lucy "might need a friend" although Maia figures Damian had more in mind. Lucy dissolves into tears and then explains her humiliation. Damain just takes it all in. He does have a distraction for her. Downstairs Katherine breaks up the Kevin/Mac discussion and reminds them that Lucy will forgive when/if she wants to and not by anything Kevin says or does since Lucy always does exactly what she wants. Meanwhile Damian again pitches Lucy providing a fragrance for Dayco and since the opinion of the person who influenced her to say no no longer matters...it's a deal.
