                            GH Update for 08/18/95
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
A drugged Ned gets helped to his room by Sonny's hired ho After he passes out
she shoots him up with some drugs.
Scene 2
As Kevin and Lucy prepare an intimate dinner, she harps on his "para-normal
experience" of hearing his dead brother Ryan.
Scene 3
Luke lectures Bobbie about her hots for Alan. She counters that he's not one to
give advise on marriages.
Scene 4
Emily rushes to get Laura after Lucky crashes his go-cart and hits his head on
a rock knocking himself out. The drab-clothed one dials 911 for an ambulance
then phones Luke at the club with the news. He immediately heads for GH to
meet them.
Scene 5
Back at Ned's hotel room, the vile vixen disrobes and prepares to set Ned up
for a few posed pictures. While they share a couple of touching Kodak moments,
the phone rings and the gregarious Gretal answers. Of course, it's Lois and the
tawdry trollop says Ned is "out" and hangs up.
Scene 6
Simone and Justus question Tom as to why he hasn't signed the divorce papers
yet. He says he decided to contest the divorce. Simone angrily tells him she'll
sue for it if necessary.
Scene 7
Lois storms in to see Edward asking what is the fastest way to get to Boston.
Scene 8
At GH, the docs check out Lucky. He has some sudden brain problem, and they
haul him away for a CAT scan (about $800-$1000).
Scene 9
Kevin and Lucy continue to banter over dinner. Lucy agrees to tell Madame Maia
that Kevin's past is off limits to her.
Scene 10
The sinister seductress puts some final touches on the faux-affair, lipstick on
a glass, liquor left in glasses, a piece of lingerie, and lastly a rose in
Ned's mouth.
Scene 11
Luke starts to rant about Lucky not wearing a helmet, but Laura counters that
she didn't want him building it in the first place. Finally, they agree not to
blame each other. Luke says she can keep him away, but she can't protect the
kids completely.
Scene 12
When Justus tries to come to some agreement with Tom, Tom leaves to go home.
Scene 13
The bell captain lets Lois into Ned's room where she views the sexual setup;
however, Ned is still out cold.
Scene 14
At the club, Mike tells Sonny that Luke headed to GH to see Lucky. Soon, Sonny
gets a call from Gretal saying the deed was done. Robin arrives and asks Sonny
to contribute to the Stone scrapbook.
Scene 15
Simone gets beeped about Lucky and heads for GH.
Scene 16
As Lucy and Kevin kiss, suddenly a noise startles them both, and Ryan's voice
calls Kevin's name while at the same time a green gob of ectoplasm oozes up.
Lucy is horrified and bolts for the door, whereby the spooky specter
disappears. Kevin catches Lucy outside and asks what exactly did she see. She
describes the same thing he saw. They return to the house, and Kevin tells her
he suspects an elaborate hoax. She suggests they immediately call Fox Mulder
and Dana Scully.
Scene 17
Ned slowly awakens, and when Lois is sure he's up, she decks him with a solid
left hook. Ned is out again faster than Mike Tyson's last opponent.
Scene 18
Laura and Luke mope about Lucky. Tony comes in and tells them Lucky has the
infamous "epidural hematoma" [why did I just know he'd say that] and says they
have to drill a hole in his head. When Luke asks, "Tony, that sounds
impossible, are you sure you can do it?" Tony replies, "Well, I have high
hopes," then breaks into song.

Once there was a little old ant,
Who thought he'd move a rubber tree plant,
Everyone knows an ant can't move a rubber tree plant,
          But he had high hopes.
          He had high hopes.
He had high in the sky apple pie hopes.
          So when you're feeling low,
          Instead of letting go,
          Just remember that ant.
Oops, there goes another rubber tree,
Oops, there goes another rubber tree,
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant.

[What does this song possibly have to do with anything? Well, update trivia
experts will know it's from the 1959 Frank Sinatra film "Hole in the Head."
Pretty clever, eh. :)]
