What with real life, a THL gig, etc.  it's a Johnny-style update today.

Katherine awakes after a most pleasant night with Mac.  Oops, that was just
a dream as she awakens next to Damian who notices her less than pleased
look.

Sonny comes to visit Stone.  After Sonny's heartfelt comments about not
knowing what to say or do, Stone thanks him for all the $$ he's spending
and wants to know how much Sonny has spent.

At the Foundation offices, Robin explains the latest development with Stone
to Jason, AJ and Keesha and asks for their help.  Since AJ's letter was
much appreciated by Stone, to Jason's amazement, Robin wants AJ, Keesha,
and Jason to help her put together a memory book for Stone.  She wants Stone
to feel his life meant something and that he touched people.

The $$ is no big deal to Sonny and explains about moving from LUKE'S with
the hassle from the cops thanks to Ned and Mac.  Stone thinks it's a good
idea.  Moving will get Sonny away from the space Sonny shared with Brenda.
However, Sonny is having second thoughts thinking it would be disruptive
for Stone.  But for Stone not to move would be giving in to AIDS so he
encourages Sonny to find a new place.

Alan surprises Monica with breakfast in the den (not in bed since Monica
isn't in bed) for their anniversary.  He even prepared it himself.  They
agree it's been a terrible year but they are still together.  Monica remembers
her walk on the balcony from the year before and as they acknowledge she's
cancer free and the addition of Emily to their lives maybe the year wasn't
so bad.  Alan's present to Monica is a sheet of paper representing his
purchase of some rain forest property in Central America, a symbol of
looking forward to the future and an investment for Emily.

Damian and Katherine discuss Sonny's recommendation for her plan against
AJ.  It's a woman working on her MBA at PCU who will gladly leave PC when
the gig is over as long as she is paid handsomely.  Damian agrees to foot
the bill for Katherine.  The doorbell rings.  Katherine isn't expecting
anyone but Damian is.  It's Madame Maia.

Mac is visited by Kevin wanting to know if Mac has discovered anything
about Madame Maia.  Not yet.  Kevin's in a hurry since now Madame Maia
has not only pushed Lucy's buttons but has also pushed Kevin's as he
relates the encounter with Madame Maia at LUKE'S and THE voice.  Mac tries
to convince Kevin it's impossible but Kevin actually has some explanations.
One is a new theory about sleep and the other is that Kevin wonders if he
could be experiencing the initial stages of a gradual progressive decline in
his mental acuity.  To that Mac asks "You mean you are going nuts?" but tells
Kevin that's not happening.  Kevin realizes he's actually come to Mac for
advice.

Katherine doesn't appreciate Madame Maia visiting Damian at her apt and
leaves.  Madame Maia notes Katherine is spoiled and warns Damian not to
take Katherine for granted.  Madame Maia needs Damian to pull strings to
get participants in her seminar all under one roof.  It seems there are
a number of other conventions already scheduled in PC the week of her
seminar and rooms are hard to come by.  She sees a role for Lucy at the
seminar.  As Madame Maia leaves she questions if Damian and Katherine
are involved in some sort of intrigue.

At the Foundation AJ and Keesha are visited by a young woman, Carla, looking
to start up a temp agency.  She's an MBA student at PCU and has decided to
not wait till after she gets her degree.  AJ laps it up and offers to
help her fill out the forms.  I sense Katherine's work here.

Mac queries Kevin about CMV as Robin had flown in, dropped the bombshell
about Stone, and flown back out.  Once Mac learns what CMV is all about
Mac wants to know how Kevin can walk that fine line between friend and
doctor with Stone.  Mac still doesn't like Stone but is starting to feel
compassionate towards Stone.

Jason visits Stone and offers his sympathy.  Stone is bummed out that he
won't be able to get the next experimental drugs till it is too late.  He
wants to try any drug no matter how experimental since he's going to die
anyways.  Jason tries to play the other side but Stone silences him when
Stone says if he's a rat, at least he'd be running.

Mac tells Katherine about Stone going blind and Katherine notes Mac's
sympathy.  Mac acknowledges his anger and dislike of Stone blinded him
before to the reality of AIDS striking someone he knows.  He's also
worried about facing the same thing with Robin.  Katherine asks how she
can help but Mac lets her know she's already doing it.

Back at LUKE'S Luke finds out Stone isn't handling the CMV well and that Sonny
doesn't know how to handle it either, it's something he can't control.
Sonny then starts apologizing for the mess outside the club the with Ned,
etc.  Luke actually encourages Sonny to go after Ned as long as Sonny keeps
trouble away from the club.  And now that Laura knows about the tape, this
fight of Sonny's has become Luke's fight as well.

The Quartermaines are gathering in the den for the evening cocktail hou They
are arguing about the setting on the thermostat.  Some want more A/C, others
less and then Jason thinks they should more environmentally sensitive and not
use the A/C.  Bobbie and Tony arrive.  Lois can't believe they're actually
fighting over the thermostat setting. (Hmmmm, that can be a BIG one!)  The
voices escalate until Lila calls a halt by blowing on her  whistle.  She has
Edward make a toast to Monica and Alan before Bobbie and Tony take them out
to dinner.  Edward makes a fine toast about Alan and Monica surviving the
past year and marriage.  There are some strange looks on Alan and Bobbie's
faces.

Katherine mixes Mac a drink - it's something she makes when she's down.  He
is actually impressed and tells her he likes her when she's not a mistress of
duplicity and tells her he saw her "watering" his plants.  They flirt and
he lets her know he's interested but (there's always that but) as long as
she's involved with Damian, he's turn her down.

Sonny offers to visit Laura but Luke is sure that would only make things
worse.  Luke warns Sonny of Ned's resources but Sonny's got his own resources.
According to Sonny soon Ned will be off Sonny's back.
