Date: Fri, 11 Aug 1995 22:51:47 CDT From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 08/11/95 GH Update for 08/11/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 A naughty-nighty clad Katy Bell gets a last minute call from Damian Scum saying he can't make their date due to business. What he doesn't say is his business is with Madame Maia. She says she understands, but after he hangs up, she steams out on the town. Scene 2 Lucy saunters over to Mac's bar to lobby him once again against Katy. He says not to worry, "I've got her number." "Just don't dial it," Lucy replies. Scene 3 A bare-belly-buttoned-Brenda tries to convince Miguel to accompany her to Luke's. He declines not wanting to stir up trouble with Sonny. She says it's on L&B business but admits she actually doesn't mind tweaking Sonny in the process. Just then, Lily dressed in a red hot dress comes down at the same time Sonny arrives to pick her up. He makes a point of complimenting her and arm-in-arm they leave much to Brenda's and Miguel's annoyance. Scene 4 Once outside, the diminutive Dillinger and his Lady-in-Red admit to being PO'd at Beauty and the Beast but laugh it off and head for some food and fun. Scene 5 More Lucy and Mac drek about Katy. As she is suggesting that Mac see Madame Maia for an aura reading, Kevin arrives and takes her away. Just then Katherine in basic black and bulwarks slithers her bosom up to the bar. Scene 6 At Luke's, Damian tells Madame Maia that Lucy and Kevin will be there that night, and she should target Kevin through his brother Ryan and get him upset enough to take off leaving poor Lucy-lamb as prey for the wolf-man. Scene 7 Monica tells Alan she's going to see her doctor about reconstructive surgery, and she feels it will make a big difference to her and them. Scene 8 Stone arrives to have Alan check out his cut. Alan gives him the good news that his T-cell count is up to 140; however, Alan is concerned about Stone's report of blurred vision. Scene 9 Monica confers with her doctor about the various alternatives for breast reconstruction. Basically, he explains three options: 1) saline implants [we'll pump you up] 2) tissue grafting where some abdominal muscle is used to form a breast 3) a large hunk of silly putty Monica indicates her preference for option 2, since despite the fact that it is a more invasive procedure, the results are longer lasting and feel more natural, but Option 3 was highly recommended by Monica's health insurance company; however, there were reports of people falling asleep on the comics section of newspapers and waking up with Snoopy permanently imprinted on their breasts. Scene 10 Sonny and Lily dine elegantly. She is impressed by how well people treat him, but he says it's not him but her, Senor Rivera's daughter, that is responsible for the VIP treatment. Scene 11 Katy whines that despite her attempts to rekindle their relationship, Damian dumped on her again leaving her alone. She proceeds to order a second martini, but while Mac waits on another customer, Katy waters a nearby plant with most of the first. Scene 12 At Luke's Club, Amy scolds Mike for not calling her. He explains that he didn't think a big infomercial star like her would be interested in a lowly bartender. Soon Luke staggers in looking terrible and muttering about marriage. Amy feeling sorry for him heads out to "simplify things." Scene 13 Sonny and LeeLee dance slowly and sexily. He strokes her hair and their lips hover closely but not quite touching. [a nicely sensuous change from the generally done slobbering face-sucking] Scene 14 Amy comes to see Laura and insists she come to hear Mae Mae sing at Luke's. After some heavy lobbying by Amy and Lucky, Laura gives in. Scene 15 Stone brings his good news to Luke's and asks to work that night. Luke happily agrees. Scene 16 All the usual PC denizens converge on Luke's. Madame Maia stops at Lucy's and Kevin's table and, of course to Kevin's disgust, Lucy asks her to join them. Madame Maia starts in immediately on Kevin about his anger and Ryan. As intended, Kevin gets irate and leaves. Lucy tries to follow, but Madame Maia stops her, and Damian swoops in. Scene 17 Lily and Sonny arrive and glare at Brenda and Miguel. Laura comes in to Luke's surprise and pleasure. Scene 18 Katy kvetches to Mac about love and Damian and fate. Again when he is occupied, she dumps her drink, but unknown to her Mac spots her doing it. She feigns drunkenness, and he plays along agreeing to take her home. Scene 19 Back at Katy's Web, Mac lays the seductive siren on her bed. She tries to lure him in, but he says her game playing won't work with him; they'll both know when it's real. He leaves her with a passionate kiss. Scene 20 Luke introduces Mae Mae who sings while various people are shown listening and glaring. At the end of her song, Sonny rushes over to Brenda and practically drags her out of the place saying he has to talk to her. Miguel and Ned jump to her aid, but Lois stops them arguing they have to let them have it out.
