Law & Order & A Royal Mess
--------------------------
Mac and Ned meet with Garcia at the Outback. After the fiasco with Brenda
and the wire Mac is willing to put his PI license on the line and play the
Harry-Sonny tape for Garcia. Garcia won't bust them and just wishes they
could use the tape in court. Ned advances the idea that if the right judge
listens to the tape they might be able to get an investigation started. Of
course Ned has a judge in mind, so off he goes to the Qaurtermaine mansion
to see Edward. Ned inquires about Edward's golf game but it's only to bring
up the judge who had been in Edward's foursome. Edward's amenable to calling
in a favor from the judge, one who ran on a strong law & order stance. Once
Edward has contacted him, Ned informs Alex. Garcia "appreciates" what the
Quartermaine name can do and is off to get a search warrant. Meanwhile Lois
has returned to the gatehouse where Brenda has been stuffing envelopes with
Migless' picture. Lois wants to know what Brenda is doing, ie, sleeping with
the talent. Brenda tries to turn that around but Lois points out all the
trouble she and Ned had over that....Brenda was there. Brenda gets very
defensive and claims Migless is just a friend and they are just comforting
each other. It's just fun and that's all but Lois doesn't quite buy it.
She warns Brenda that being on the rebound, Brenda could hurt herself more
that Sonny ever could. Trying to talk some sense into Brenda is a lost cause,
and when Lois hears Brenda and Migless' had been attracted to each other all
along, Lois almost loses it, until Brenda says they hadn't acted on their
feelings. It was the hurt she felt when Lily and Sonny went to Puerto Rico
and Migless' emotional availability that propelled them along. Lois is
worried Migless and Brenda are using each other and that the sparks will set
off an explosion...but of course Braindead doesn't see it that way. When Ned
returns with the news that an investigation of Sonny is about to commence
Brenda isn't a happy camper. She likens the investigation to pushing a wild
animal into a corner. "It's not safe." But Ned counters that left alone it's
not safe and he's not willing to let his bathroom be the next to be shot up.
Brenda storms out taking Ned's umbrella. Lois' comment..."A royal mess."
Later Ned gets a call from Mac. Garcia has gotten a search warrant. Ned
smiles..."Let the games begin."

The Camping Game
----------------
Simone, Justus and Tommy are preparing to head off on their camping trip.
Justus has brought the "ancient" Ward family tent, Army surplus (I remember
one of those). They head off to the woods as Bobbie heads off to dinner.
The campers are setting up camp. Simone is trying to blow up an air mattress,
lamenting that Justus hasn't brought a pump (a pump's no fun!). There is
much teasing about being "city folk." When Tommy announces he's hungry Simone
discovers the food consists of powdered eggs, powdered bacon, powdered milk
and freeze dried coffee, and granola bars. She wants her room service and her
chocolates on the pillow. Justus sees it as Tommy bonding with his mother in
the wilderness. Settling in for bed all the night sounds, whipper-wills,
crickets, bullfrogs, etc. are not exactly to Simone's liking. Then it's
musical sleeping spots as Tommy's sleeping bag is itchy, then he's on a rock.
Eventually he has maneuvered himself between Simone and Justus. When Tommy
has to go to the bathroom, Justus take him, without a flashlight much to
Simone's dismay. Then Tommy gets bit, the wind picks up. A storm is brewing.
When the tent is blown down and it starts to rain Justus gives in and they
pack up to go home. (First law of camping, if it rains, there is a newbie
camper in your midst!) Upon hearing the wet campers return Tom comes
downstairs to greet them and learns from Tommy that Simone has said no next
time. Tom volunteers with his experience in Africa he can "do it right" with
Tommy to Tommy's delight. After Simone and Tommy head upstairs after having
said goodnight to Justus, Tom with a grin on his face says "Good night
Justus."

The Sexuality Game
------------------
Alan stops in the den on his way out to dinner. Monica wonders why he's all
dolled up. She's going to be working on a Wellness group report and can't
go out to dinner. Alan knows that...he's just "going out." Later after
Ned has talked to Garcia Monica sees his wicked smile and since it's Sonny
who will be on the receiving end of Ned's games, that's fine with her. When
Ned learns she's wrestling with the idea of reconstructive surgery her tells
her not to have it "on his account." He tries to convince her that she's as
sensual as ever and points out that Lois would probably thank Monica for
showing him how to appreciate women, not just girls. He puts Lois in Monica's
league, saying that would be paying Lois a very high compliment. Monica
accuses Ned of pitching a line like Alan, but Ned claims it's no line. Then
Monica lets down the defenses, she's afraid the surgery won't reawaken her
sexuality. Ned just squeezes her shoulder. Ned gets Moncia to laugh when
he sticks around to keep her company..."What are old lovers for" and tries
to convince her Alan will wait. Ned reminds Monica that their affair was
more than sparkers...it was Roman candles...getting Monica smile and to admit
their affair was pure pleasure. When Ned points out she'll have that again,
Monica turns around and wonders how long Ned will be a good boy. He claims
he's forsaken the smorgasboard for filet mingon every night. Ned suggests
to go ahead with the surgery if that's what she needs to unearth her
vibrancy again but lets her know that what turned him on was something much
more profound and that that's still there and an intrinsic part of Monica.
When her spirit is healed so that she is fully back Alan will need his
vitamins.

At the Outback Mac picks up on Bobbie's sparkle when she arrives but
mistakenly thinks it's related to Tony's sparkle. However when Alan arrives
and Mac learns Alan and Bobbie are having dinner...when Mac quickly shows
them to a table. Both are feeling guilty and while Bobbie had been looking
forward to their dinner all day amazingly she's the one who talks of acting
responsibly even though that's not what she wants. Bobbie is worried about
their special friendship should they rush the relationship. Alan agrees
but is tired of feeling lonely. Bobbie is ready to leave and despite having
her own car, Alan just has to follow her home as Lucas is spending the night
at a friend's and Tony is spending the night at GH. Once at the brownstone
Alan is about to make a move when the phone rings. Bobbie lets the machine
get it. It's Monica wanting to chat about being tied up in knots over the
surgery. With that Bobbie tells Alan he should go. Before he can leave
the campers return..so off he goes.
