From: chips@eskimo.com (:crp:) Subject: GH: Tues 808 Update Date: Sun, 13 Aug 1995 06:39:24 GMT General Hospital Update Tues August 8,1995 Good show: plot movements and lots of good lines. Tough to pick one. Lucy is sitting on the couch having a morning beverage when Kevin walks in from the bedroom. She asks what time he came and why. He came about 3AM because he had insomnia and after doing laps around the lighthouse he figured he could crash at her place. Once he got into bed next to her he fell right asleep. She has a look on her face of wondering if she should be insulted or complimented by that. However, she is more worried about Kevin's problem and asked if it had anything to do with Grace?... Ryan?... MadaM? Bingo! Kevin is not at all impressed by MadaM's supposed success at their confrontation. He theorizes that Lucy could have let things slip, since 'words fly out of her mouth that she is not even aware of'. At this she is definitely insulted. She insists that she didn't reveal anything, intentionally or otherwise but undermines her position when she lets slip that she still saw Boris. Kevin leaves in a huff to the Outback. Lucy calls and MadaM comes by. Lucy is upset and all jangled. She doesn't wnat to do anything to assauge Kevin that would cost MadaM. MadaM suggests that Lucy calm down and that they just chat about something else. She hears , much to her chagrin, about all of Lucy's past employment and couplings and her dislike of 'that twit Bobi'.[her version of history may confuse newbies, but BJ died well after she and tony split] Lucy mentions a book she wrote and MadaM says she would like to see it. Eventually it gets around to Doc Colins and she slyly inserts the proposition that Kevin sees MadaM as an impediment to his manipulation and control of Lucy. Natasha and Mac have a little chat before breakfast. They don't flirt this time but have a real talk. Mac brings the conversation around to her and Boris and what the level of commitment is. She confides that she is afraid to leave Boris since it could be dangerous to her, but she's lost her edge and they do care for each other. Mac doesn't buy it and tells her that if she wanted to, she could do better. She leaves when Kevin comes rageing in looking for coffee 'and rational company'. and goes to confront Boris. She wants to visit the zoo , he says the walking would hurt his back. She suggests a movie he negates it. She asks what is so important that he has to stay by the phone. He tells her MadaM is having a crucial meeting with Lucy and he needs to hear how it went. She blows up at this, but he doesn't take her protestations too seriously until she literally throws objects at him. He backs up and agrees to spend the afternoon with her at the zoo. What about the call? That's why answering machines were made. What about hurting his back? That is what pain pills were made for. They hug. Kevin goes behind the bar to get some coffee. He says to Mac 'Tell me its not so'. [there was something wrong with the staging of this scene, something with kevin's wardrobe. But this whole thing ] Mac says 'What's not so?' and they proceed to banter about Natasha. Mac then starts wondering what Kevin is doing there and Tony then walks in. Tony takes a look at Kevin and asks what did Lucy do now. How does he know its a Lucy deal? He replies he was married to her. Tony suggests that in order to get Lucy to do something sensible, you have to make Lucy think it is her own idea. Kevin tries it out, but the scenario blows up and Kevin steams out with Lucy being angry too. Ned, Lois and Brimbo are talking to the ELQ shyster in the studio. They want to know how to break the partnership with Prince. The shyster explains that the contract was drawn up simply, in under two pages, and ironclad. Ned gets upset and threatens the shyster by saying that if Prince's scummy street lawyers could make a deal better than the high falutin, on retainer law firm that the shyster should start looking for another cash cow. The shyster replies that threats don't change the situation. He tells them the only way out is via non or poor performance of management duties. L&B aren't thrilled with that. He then suggests getting Prince to infringe on their duties. As the shyster leaves, Ned apologizes to him. Prince (dressed all in black) then arrives shortly thereafter and his reception his less than cool. He tells them all tough luck, he is too stay but does agree to leave as their discussion is obviously going nowhere. As he leaves he tells that since they are all of the sudden so big on total honesty, why don't they ask Brimbo about her and McUgly. Lois turns around to face Brimbo and has this look on her face of shock and dismay. The Ashton's ask what was Prince talking about and Brimbo tries to deflect the situation and make light of the fact that they happened to share a shower. Ashton's are dismayed Lois is totally po'ed and rushes out to see Prince. Ned closes the door after her and looks at Brimbo who says 'don't yell at me'. He promptly yells at her [i thought there other lines but polling indicates this is] L I N E O F T H E D A Y "What are you using for brains?" (Unfortunately,) he turns understanding. He then advances the theory that Prince may take out his anger and frustration on Brimbo and McUgly. Lois asks Prince once again to get out of the partnership and he refuses. She lays down a ground rule that he doesn't speak to Brimbo and McUgly. He more than readily agrees.
