Date: Mon, 7 Aug 1995 00:02:58 CDT From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 08/05/95 GH Update for 08/05/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Sonny and LeeLee jet back home from PR. She muses about just flying away and not returning to PC. Scene 2 People mill around before the AIDS Walk-in-the-Park. Brenda smooches the Singing None and tells him more will be dished out later. Stone spies the disgusting scene and comments to Robin who says they are just friends. He says think again; the body language tells a different story. Scene 3 Robin strolls over to ask Brenda about her and Miguel, but Brenda changes the subject to why Robin's not going to Yale. Scene 4 Nearby Mac and Felicia discuss the same question. Felicia suggests they treat Robin's decision as selfless and generous, but Mac thinks its just plain foolish. She suggests they let Jason talk to her about it hoping he'll stress the importance of her education. Scene 5 Bobbie allegedly gets a cramp in her leg while walking requiring Alan to stop and massage it. Monica, passing by and seeing how much Alan kneads Bobbie's body, decides to stop and engage in a little massage-a-trois. When Bobbie explains how innocent Alan's ministrations are, Monica says ok and proceeds to jog off on her own. Afterwards, Alan congratulates her on doing the horizontal slam dance with Tony at last, but she remarks that it was anti-climactic in more ways than one. Scene 6 When Felicia spies Jason and Keesha making-out [a great retro-term] in the bushes, she pours some verbal cold water on them and also asks Jason to speak to Robin, or Mac will. He agrees to help save the peace. Scene 7 Kevin and Mac chat about Mac's lack of womanly companionship, then about Robin. Kevin advises him to back off a bit. Kevin also says he wants to hire Mac to investigate Madame Maia; Mac accepts. Scene 8 Alan advises Bobbie to stop "jiggling" along and go home to rest her leg. "I don't jiggle," she replies. "Trust me," he retorts smilingly [Those "jiggles" read 5.3 on the Richter scale]. Eventually, he agrees to cover her pledges, and she agrees to call it a day. Scene 9 Tom and Simone argue about Tom Jr's snake, then due to Justus' lateness she agrees to start the walk with him. Scene 10 On the plane, Lily tries to offer a reason why Brenda did what she did saying maybe it was because she was afraid for him, but Sonny won't accept the excuse. Scene 11 Jason approaches Robin about Yale, but she soon converts him to her position. Scene 12 Alan escorts Jigglie back home where they are alone. Scene 13 Robin angrily confronts Mac about her giving her Yale plans a rest and tells him to stop lobbying everyone to try to dissuade her. Scene 14 Justus and Tom play one-upmanship over Simone. Justus suggests that Simone, Tom Jr, and he go on a nature trip, and pointedly suggesting that Simone and he share a sleeping bag. Simone despite her dislike of snakes agrees. Scene 15 Gratuitous park scene of two women ignorantly complaining about the park being used to benefit "those people." Stone confronts them and speechifies. Scene 16 Back at Ruby's, Lily thanks Sonny for accompanying her to PR and being a real gentleman. She asks what's next. Scene 17 Meanwhile upstairs as Miguel showers, Brenda in only a towel sneaks in finally dropping the towel and all remaining shred of self-respect at the same time. [Where is Alfred Hitchcock when you need him?] Scene 18 Alan and Bobbie suck down ice teas and fantasize about escaping to the South Pacific permanently. They exchange wanting yet guilty glances. Scene 19 Sonny suggests they take one day at a time and proceeds upstairs with Lily's bags. At the same time, the towel clad Miguel and Brenda exit their shower of shame and strut down the hallway just in time to come face-to-well just about everything with the surprised Sonny and Lily.
