                                GENERAL HOSPITAL
                           Wednesday, August 2, 1995

Today's Stories Sibling Rivalry
                        Deeper Into THE Trap
                        Emotional Limbo

Sibling Rivalry
---------------
A melancholy AJ is sitting outside the Foundation office. Keesha thinks
he's imagining how the Charles Street neighborhood will look when the
Foundation really starts to make a difference but no, AJ is thinking of
getting a drink down at the local bar. AJ unloads about the pressure onto
a very sympathetic Keesha and Keesha encourages AJ to attend an AA meeting.
However, AJ doesn't want the platitudes from AA. Keesha is frightened by
AJ's attitude and as she gives him a comforting hug Jason walks up. Jason
is livid that AJ has pulled Keesha into what Jason calls AJ's self pity
routine. Jason gives AJ a "you are so lucky" lecture and doesn't buy AJ's
pity scene. If AJ's sobriety is threatened or the Foundation is threatened
Jason suggests AJ return to working at the hotel, but Jason "does" want to
work "with" AJ at the Foundation. AJ leaves and Keesha isn't happy with
Jason's attitude so she goes back to work. Later Jason wants to go to
dinner but Keesha is acting cool towards him. Keesha doesn't understand
Jason being angry with AJ so Jason tries to explain AJ the drunk. He tries
to warn Keesha against giving in to AJ's neediness. Keesha still feels
sympathetic but they do make up and kiss.

Deeper Into THE Trap
--------------------
Lucy has learned from Damian's office that he's at the Outback so she is
there to see him, just for a "second." Lucy in her own way tries to explain
she's accepted Damian in her life. The visit with the scarf was silliness
(how right you are) and childish and since it was she's no longer keeping
the promise she made never to see him. Damian inquires about her spiritual
journey and then "contributes" by saying he accepts her relationship with
Kevin (sure!) and will have a hands off policy where it concerns Lucy. Lucy
is about to leave but since Katherine is not going to be there Lucy gives
in and stays for dinner, vowing to order the most expensive thing on the menu
as Damian orders a bottle of champagne. When they get to coffee Lucy realizes
it feels almost like the "good old days" before all the bad things happened.
Damian vows they won't make the same mistakes again but is "puzzled" by Lucy's
change in attitude. He learns the change is due to Madame Maia. After a
discussion of Kevin dislike and distrust of Madame Maia and things pyschic
Damian brings up Madame Maia's suggestions of "past connections" between Lucy
and Damian. Lucy suggests they have a joint session with Madame Maia although
Damian figures it wouldn't be wise for Lucy to talk to Kevin about the
session. He then suggests Lucy book a session for Kevin. With that Lucy
whips out her cellular phone to call Madame Main, hoping for a session that
evening.

Emotional Limbo
---------------
At LUKE'S Bobbie tries to get information on the Mike/Amy dates from Mike.
Alan comes in saying he saw Bobbie's car in the parking lot and his car
just had to turn into the parking lot. Alan tries to learn more about the
Mike/Amy relationship but all Mike will say is that they've had a few dates,
Amy is nice but wacky. Bobbie and Alan both lament their emotional limbo.
Bobbie is just putting one foot in front of the other each day wondering
where she and Tony are going now that he's in the spare room and Alan laments
Monica not letting him in as she keeps so busy she can't/won't make room for
Alan. Alan confesses to Bobbie he saw her turning in to LUKE'S so he did
the same, He's able to talk to her uncensored. Bobbie confesses she was
pleased when Alan walked into LUKE'S. Alan decides it's time to go, he
promised Emily he's be home before she went to bed and when Bobbie decides
to leave as well he walks her to her car.

At the Jones' Bobbie notices Tony's light is on so she knocks on the door.
He invites her in and offers her some wine. They talk about Lucas and to
Bobbie's amazement Tony turns amorous and is obviously turned on. They
end up in bed. Later Tony is sleeping but Bobbie's awake. The phone rings.
They are needed at the hospital.

At the Quartermaine mansion Alan finds Monica out on the terrace. He gives
her a big kiss and she wonders where it came from. When he tries another one,
but this time on the lips and a bit more amorous, Monica pulls back before
he can plant it. Monica isn't ready for that but is ready for reconstructive
surgery. That's fine with Alan, whatever makes her happy. All Alan wants
is his "wife" back. Monica is sitting on Alan's lap as he tries to push
things further. Monica is just barely tolerating his kisses as they move
farther down her chest when the phone rings. It's that accident.

At the hospital as Monica and Bobbie scrub Monica tells Bobbie about her
decision about reconstructive surgery. Monica thinks it might jump start
her libido and allow others (ie, Alan) to look at her body. Then Bobbie drops
a bombshell. "Sex is overrated" and informs Monica that while she and Tony
"did" it, Bobbie faked it with Tony for the first time in all their years
together. Meanwhile on the elevator Tony tells Alan about "doing it" and
how wonderful it was, "out of the stadium," Tony puts it. As they get off the
elevator Alan just hopes it "was as good as I've been imagining it would be."
[Hmmm Alan....that could be taken severals ways!!]
