Date: Sun, 23 Jul 1995 01:10:26 CDT From: jandrews@uic.edu Subject: Friday update GH Update for 07/22/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Brenda bravely plays record exec scheduling Miguel for a TV appearance after his next concert. Miguel tells her she needn't try to cover up since they are all friends, and she can be honest. Brenda whines that she's got nowhere to live. Scene 2 Harry tells Sonny he found the bug in his office, and he's relocated their financial records and bookie joint. Scene 3 At the Q's mansion, Jason rants about the press people hounding them, as Lucy arrives unexpectedly to cleanse her aura by "forgiving" everyone, Monica for stealing Alan; Alan for dumping her for Monica; Edward for patronizing her and being condescending; AJ for his tax mess and staring at her legs during ELQ board meetings; and Reginald for his uncle's never treating her as mistress of the house. After she flits out, this bit of conversation summed it up well: Emily: Does she make everyone dizzy, or is it just me? Alan: Want a scotch? Emily: I don't drink. Monica: I'll take a double. Alan: Good idea. Scene 4 Lois offers to let Brenda stay with them since she's basically a homeless person. Brenda says she should get her own place, so Miguel and she go off to get her settled somewhere. Scene 5 At Luke's, Sonny gripes to Luke that he knew Brenda would be trouble from the start but let her in so probably he deserved what he got. Luke says no one deserves that kind of betrayal. Stone arrives and tells them about the new drugs he's taking. When Lucky arrives, Luke reminds him that the club is off limits to him. As Stone leaves, he almost collapses, and Lucky asks if he's sick again. Luke again tells Lucky they must honor Laura's wishes even if the woman is nuts. Scene 6 Lois insists that they keep Brenda busy to prevent her from losing it. As they discuss Sonny yet again, Lucy pops in to continue her aural cleaning. She forgives Ned for cheating her out of Deception, but like Emily she has nothing to forgive of Lois. As usual after she leaves, Ned and Lois just shake their heads in disbelief. Scene 7 Monica and AJ discuss the Charles Street Foundation and how much AJ really wants it to succeed. Scene 8 Luke and Lucky arrive at Ruby's to move Luke in and get a couple of Ruby's Atomic Chili Dogs. Scene 9 Mae Mae drops in at the Q's to flame about flak generated by the ELQ tax fiasco. Apparantly, she and the Bradley Ward House have been tarred and feathered along with ELQ. Scene 10 In Luke's room, Lucky tells his father to shave then asks about Stone. Luke tells him that Stone has AIDS. Lucky is shocked and asks if Stone is going to die. Lucky asks him the how, where, when, and why, and Luke tries to give him the straight truth along with the usual GH AIDS info lecture. Lucky says he's not ready for any of this stuff yet. Scene 11 AJ tries to explain to Mae Mae that's he's taking steps to help. They've made their first loans to get some businesses up and going in the Charles Street area so people will see results. Scene 12 Back at Ruby's, Lucy is still busy making the rounds forgiving people. She forgives Ruby for all he past abuses. Just as she finishes Ruby, Brenda and Miguel arrive to Lucy's delight as they are on her list of forgivees. Lucy proceeds to forgive Brenda for cutting her hair during a Deception shoot [I don't forgive her]. However, she tells Miguel he's just too bad an actor to be forgiven. After Lucy floats off, Brenda asks Ruby if she can rent a room despite the current rogue's gallery of inhabitants, Luke, Miguel, and Lily. Just then Luke comes down with Lucky, and Brenda approaches him. Scene 13 Lois comes to confer with Edward about L&B and Sonny. Scene 14 Lily tells Sonny her father has developed a severe infection and is dying. She thinks she wants to go to him. Scene 15 Edward tells Lois to distance herself as far from Sonny as possible, but Lois says she has a binding contract to L&B, and Sonny won't dissolve the company. Edward assures her that they'll get her out one way or another because she's now a Quartermain. Scene 16 Brenda tries to explain to Luke why she shamelessly stabbed Sonny in the back, but Luke tells her he's unmoved. She counters by saying how would you feel if after all this time you found out Sonny was looking you in the eyes and lying to you. Luke appears pensive at the thought. Scene 17 Lily says even though she doesn't really like her father, she wants to return to PR to see him but is worried about what kind of signal it might send about Sonny to her father's associates. Sonny suggests he go with her, and surprise, surprise, she happily accepts. ------- End of Forwarded Message
