GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, July 12, 1995 Today's Stories Discord Venting Anger Betrayal? For Tommy's Sake? Discord ------- Lucy bounces all over Kevin's bedroom, exited about her "coffee" investment and all the research she has done into coffee. However, Kevin, who is packing, doesn't share her enthusiasm. He'd rather have tea. And when Lucy tries to help him with his packing everything Lucy offers to do for Kevin is wrong. All Lucy wants to do is to reach an understanding with Kevin before he leaves for NY. However Kevin doesn't feel any better. Then Lucy tries to look at Kevin's trip as a chance for them to put into practice Kevin's interdependence/independent theory but Kevin claims not to recall that thought. Lucy is near tears as Kevin is walking out the door, but Kevin stops, drops his bags, turns around and gives Lucy a big hug and a kiss. A Kevinless Lucy arrives at LUKE'S and wants some backroom action but since both Luke and Sonny are away from the club, Mike has to inform Lucy the room is closed. Mike can tell something is wrong and figures out it's the good doctor. Lucy unloads that she thinks Kevin is threatened by her. The conversation turns to coffee futures and Mike is intrigued by the possibility of earning a quick buck. Lucy offers him her broker's card since Lucy knows her broker's number by heart. Venting Anger ------------- Stone is attempting to read "Huck Finn" with the colored sheet when Robin arrives with new, supercharged vitamins for Stone. However, it's one of Stone's bad days and he is feeling sorry for himself. Finally Robin vents her anger toward Stone, for always thinking of himself and not of her. But the words are barely out of her mouth before Robin is apologizing. She doesn't want to waste any of the time they have in anger. Stone tries to remind her she still has a life, and reminds Robin that she is due to head off to Yale next month. Robin tries to switch the subject to their lack of lovemaking but Stone turns the subject back to Yale. Robin isn't worried about that, only spending all her time with Stone. Later when Robin heads down through the club she talks with Lucy. Only after Robin mentions Stone is on AZT when Lucy innocently asks how Stone is, does Lucy finally find out Stone has AIDS. Betrayal? --------- Lily visits Sonny and warns him about hearing Ned, Lois and Mac talking about Brenda wearing a wire to get the goods on Sonny for the DA and the Justice Dept. Sonny doesn't believe her and figures Lily is just trying to cause trouble for Brenda, after all the trouble Lily has had with Miguel. Lily tries to get him to believe her, that "they" know Sonny has other interests and warns Sonny to protect himself. Sonny is actually angry with Lily!!! and thinks she is dead wrong. BUT, yes, there is always that but. Sonny goes to Mike, yes Sonny goes to Mike, to try to find out what Mike meant when he asked Sonny about Sonny confiding in the wrong person about his business. Mike points out all he was saying is that Brenda should be the one Sonny should be confiding in. When Sonny tries to find out if Mike "knows" anything, Mike claims no, but he has his opinions but no proof, no one has any proof. Mike does warn Sonny that he is making a mistake by shutting Brenda out of part of his life...and yet letting Lily in. All Brenda wants is to be "in" all of Sonny's life. Once Sonny is done with Mike he heads off to see Laura to pick her brain. He wants to know if she has said anything to anyome about his business. No says Laura, "I'm not a snitch." She and Luke have never talked about Sonny's business outside of L&B and the club, but she does have her suspicions. Sonny even asks if she and Brenda have ever discussed the subject but, no Laura tries to stay away from violent subjects to keep her children safe. Laura doesn't even want to get into what is Sonny's motivation with his questions to her. Sonny does learn that Mac did stop by and asked her about Sonny's business but that Laura stonewalled Mac. Sonny repeatedly expresses his apologies for being any part of tearing Luke and Laura apart. Laura tries to convince Sonny, that even if Sonny/ Scully hadn't happened something else dangerous would have happened. Luke came between Luke and Laura. Meanwhile Lily returns to Kelly's where Ruby sees Lily is upset but figures incorrectly that it's about Miguel. When Ruby learns it's about Sonny, she expresses her feelings about him. The only reason she lets him darken her door is because of Luke and because Ruby has a soft spot for Brenda and that Brenda is good for Sonny. Lily however is concerned and despite Ruby's distrust of men like Sonny. Lily thinks Sonny is vulnerable and could be hurt. For Tommy's Sake ---------------- When Simone comes into the brownstone she and Bobbie hash over the "Scandal" and Tom's role in it. With Tom's name in the conversation, Bobbie asks Simone what Simone feels about Tom moving into Scott's apartment. Simone wonders about Tony, so Bobbie explains about sending Luke to Ruby's and tony taking the spare room. Simone isn't exactly adverse to having Tom where he can deal with Tommy. Even the thought of Tom running into Justus on the stairs appeals to her.
