                           General Hospital Update
                              Tues, July 11 1995

This is the Tuesday Update, being posted from another
site since my regular site is still not up sigh. It is very late
since Prodigy's gateway to Usenet is so cruddy, unlike its Web connection.
 NEEDED: My VCR is acting up and I need someone to
mail the details concering what Tom and Fily talked about.

Ned spoke to Justis and Simone about the fallout from the
grant disaster. He reasures them that ELQ will be taking
any hits coming and not CSF. When Justis makes a remark of
"Oh, you Quatermaines", Ned reminds them that Justis is
also a Q. This is not appreciated. But while the fact that
ELQ seems to be taking the whole ethical issue rather
cavalierally, Justis begrudgingly says OK, he will stay on
at the CSF. After Ned leaves, Justis starts attacking Tom,
but Simone sticks up for him. She notes that Tom could've
gone straight to the press and really hurt Justis & CSF,
but instead brought it to their attention (true, he did
like seeing them squirm). In addition, she tells Justis
that he should stop being in competition with Tom, that Tom
is now nothing more than a distant reletive. Much to their
chagrin, the details of their problems hits the newspapers.

Lois and Ned have a conversation about the Sonny situation
and whether or not Brenda will cooperate and wear a
listening device in order to trap Sonny legally. Lois is
concerned that Brenda won't go all the way since she loves
him, Ned thinks that since she is not the type to be a
mobsters girl friend and since she was lied to so
often,[carefull Eddie :)] she will.

Tom comes to the brownstone and is able to once again help
out with the sticky front door. Tom tells Bobi that he
wants to be closer to TomJr, that he missed seeing TomJr
growing from baby to boy. Tom asks Bobi for Scotty's old
room, Bobi says only if Simone says OK (turns out that Bobi
has an alternative motive for saying this). Tom then goes
up to visit Fily, who is preparing for Maryah's leaving.
The two talk [see above]. Tony sees them talking and nearly
has a jealousy fit. When he is noticed by them he pretends
he just came into the hall. He is very cold to Tom and then
leaves. Tom mentions the coldness, but Fily is very
friendly and she tells him that she didn't notice anything
amiss. Tony bumps into Bobi trying to close the door
(Maryah went out) and helps unstick the door. She tells him
about Tom's request and he says No Way. She says 'Excuse
me?' and he conceeds she can do what she wants. He brings
up Simone, Bobi says of course. She also mentions the TomJr
factor. Tony then asks that if Tom is to get Scotty's room,
where does that leave him. AAh, now we get to Bobi's plan.
She suggests he move back to their room. He tells her he
doesn't want to hurt her, but NoWay, he is not ready. Bobi
apparantly takes this as meaning that there is no hope for
a full reconciliation and is very sullen. He walks away and
goes up the stairs and she walks to another part of the
brownstone. Tony comes back down before getting all the way
up with a look on his face that indicates that he came
across much harsher then he intended and he wanted to make
ammends. However, Bobi is no longer standing there and he
walks back up with a resigned, guilty look.

Harry comes by Luke's Place to see Sonny. Brenda is out of
town on L&B business. Harry tells him that the hit on
Rodriguez was a Carribeen power play and nothing to do with
Scully. Lily walks in meanwhile and enjoys a funny anecdote
from Mike. After Harry leaves, Lily visits Sonny and asks
him what he knows. After Sonny makes it clear that she is
the one doing the prompting on this mob deal he tells her
that he knows he put the hit on her father and that he put
out that he takes it personally. She thanks him and leaves.
Mike walks up and says,

                        L I N E   O F   T H E   D A Y

   "I know this is going to set off a major output of
negativity"  Sonny tells him to spit it out. Mike tells
hime that Sonny is making a big mistake in shutting out
Brenda and allowing Lily access to him.

Lily goes to the studio where she gives Lois a gift [Again,
my VCR burped and i don't know the why or what of the
gift]. Lois is very friendly and mentions she hasn't seen
Lily for a while. Lily is teaching a JC course and working
at the Ward House. Lily leaves when Mac comes in to talk to
Lois and Ned. She accidently overhears the plan to have
Brenda wear a wire. She pauses to listen and then  rushes
off, very perturbed.
