It's been one of those weeks (the saving grace of course was Monday on the set
of GH)

Everyone in PC seems to be singing the blues today.
---------------------------------------------------
Justus stomps into Bradley Ward house and Keesha finds out Tom was waiting
when he and Simone arrived home from the wedding the night before. He calls
Tom a jerk and weird as he vents his anger. Mary Mae is actually charitable
to Tom given what Tom has probably been through in Africa. Simone comes in,
obviously in a bad mood, to check on a couple of the kids. Once she's done
she wants to talk to Justus. When Simone finishes with the kids she and
Justus are about to talk and Mary Mae is about out of the room when the
doorbell goes. It's Lucy in search of Mary Mae for the talent portion of
the Nurses Ball. Simone agrees to be in the chorus line again. Lucy wants
Mary Mae to sing at the Nurses Ball. They decide to go Motown with "Midnight
Train from Georgia" and Lucy says Luke and Lucky and Justus can be her Pips.
Justus wants no part. Mary Mae and Simone agree to work on him. Simone and
Mary Mae twist Justus' arm and he agrees to be one of the Pips. Mary Mae
offers to leave when Justus and Simone are about to discuss Tom's return.
They have her stick around. Simone is angry especially since Tommy has
just started to figure out the divorce only to have Tom return. She decides
before she picks up Tommy from school she needs to talk to Tom. Once she
leaves Justus tells Mary Mae to say it..."I told you so."

There's a knock on Steve's door, Tom enters with "It's Dr. Hardy I presume."
Tom had turned down the Chad offer, gone back to the refuge camp, but
conditions had deteriorated so badly his eyes opened to where he really
wanted to be, so he's back with his family to stay. Tom wants his old job
back but Steve informs him that after holding the spot open Steve has just
verbally offered the job to Kevin. Steve is confused by Tom's sudden change
in direction. Turns out he's seen enough and really doesn't want general
medicine anymore since general medicine in Africa is life and death but
general medicine in PC is diagnosis, referrals and anitbiotics. But since
the board has to appoint the Chief of Psychiatry Steve agrees to submit Tom's
name as well. Then Steve calls Audrey before she hears through the grapevine
that Tom is back in PC. Audrey is thrilled that Tom has decided to return to
PC. Tom explains he had finally seen enough death, etc. in Rowanda and also
after Tommy's reaction the last time he came home he decided his place was
home with his son. Off in a chair Steve just raises his eyebrows. And to
Audrey's question about Simone and Justus, Tom knows, but he is determined
that Simone will accept him back in her and Tommy's life.

Katherine is waiting for Damian as Lucy comes in all cheery. Natasha still
isn't happy with Damian's latest plan for Lucy involving Madame Maia. Damian
has scheduled Madame Maia's book signing in the Port Charles Hotel bookstore
so that Lucy can't avoid it. Meanwhile Lucy and her Nurses Ball co-chair Jon
Hanley go over details. The florists can easily keep to the theme of "Rainbow
of Hope" although there won't be any lilacs. It becomes apparent that Lucy
has yet to sign up an underwriter. Damian makes his way to Lucy's table and
when he asks about this year's underwriting Jon and Lucy give contradictory
answers. Jon says none yet, Lucy has a strong possibility. When Damian offers
to underwrite the event again Jon immediately accepts but Lucy wants no parts
of Damian's $$. Finally she allows that she'll think about it. Katherine
isn't happy about Damian's gesture but Damian figures it's the only way they
will be able to attend the Nurses Ball. Damian goes off to get a check to
give to Lucy the next day leaving Katherine to bemoan her fate again to Mac
and to flirt with him.

Lucky is hanging out at the club after school. There is no one at home as
Laura has gone over to the university to check out some course. Luke laments
having to hear from his son where his wife it. Lucky doesn't like being
stuck in the middle. Sonny comes in and apologizes to Lucky for putting
Lucky in the situation where he would even have to use a gun. Lucky is
definitely down on himself and the separation, finding himself in the middle.
Luke tries to cheer him up by telling him that the end of the trail to safety
is almost in sight. However Luke still has to convince Laura of that. Lucy
arrives to try to convince Luke and Lucky to be Pips to Mary May at the
Nurses Ball. Using the tactic that Justus won't do it without Luke Lucy
really doesn't have a hard sell. Mike joins the them and when she finds out
he plays the harmonica she puts him down for that. Luke then suggests that
he and Lucky do a hip-hop number. Lucky reluctantly agrees but decides it's
time to head home. Once he's gone Lucy asks Luke if something is wrong.

Miguel is about to go off from the Outback to work on the video in 15 minutes.
Lily arrives and Mac reduces the 15 minutes to none. Outside the Outback Lily
dumps Migless. [Finally!!] Lily has decided to break off the engagement. She
figures they want different things now. She has gotten past the fantasy but
he hasn't. She is tired of fighting and figures it's no use. Miguel can't
get it through his thick skull that it's over and still want to fight for the
relationship. Lily does tell Miguel she will be staying in PC since she has
signed a contract to teach the next year in PC. Going back to PR would be
too difficult with Juan there. Lily heads over to LUKE'S where Luke and Lucky
make themselves scarce so she and Sonny can talk. She tells Sonny about
dumping Migless. Sonny offers his condolences and admires her courage but
Lily is concerned about Miguel's music and L&B since she knows how intertwined
Miguel's music is with his feelings for her. Meanwhile Miguel shows up at the
rehearsal hall to rehearse the video with Brenda. He tells Brenda about the
broken engagement. Miguel can't believe Lily won't fight for their
relationship and figures there has to be more to it. When Miguel gives Brenda
a ride home to the club Sonny offers his condolences to Miguel. Oops, alarms
go off. Miguel doesn't like it one bit that Lily has already told Sonny about
dumping Miguel.
