                            GH Update for 06/02/95
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
As a storm rages outside, Lucky and Laura batten down the hatches. Though
Lucky tries bravely to reassure her saying he and Foster are on duty, Laura
becomes increasingly paranoid.
Scene 2
Bobbie jiggles into Luke's for a visit.
Scene 3
On the soul train, Justus and Simone relive the night's festivities.
Scene 4
Brenda babbles to Sonny, Stone, and Robin about her trials and tribulations
getting Ned and Lois back together. Stone starts to get ill as Brenda eyes him
suspiciously.
Scene 5
Mac and Kevin have a friendly discussion about Kevin's lack of "sensitivity."
When the subject of Lucy comes up, Mac asks if Kevin's actually thinking of
marrying her. Kevin admits he is and misses her mightily.
Scene 6
Justus drones on about his feelings about Edward and how he must come to grips
with his grandfather and everything. As they not too discreetly smooch, Audrey
interrupts to ask about Tom Jr.
Scene 7
Paige, who if not having quite left the building is certainly standing at the
threshold, grows increasingly confused and delirious mistaking Monica for her
mother.
Scene 8
Laura grows more nervous with the storm and Luke's absence. Suddenly, and
predictably, the power goes out plunging them into darkness.
Scene 9
Bobbie Barfly questions her brother about Laura and him. She comments that
maybe Laura feels left out of Luke's adventures and maybe jealous of his
relationship with Sonny. Luke replies that more likely she is an oversexed
fake-redhead busy-bodied tramp who can't seem to keep a man, and besides Sonny
and he haven't gone all the way yet so Laura shouldn't be jealous. [hahaha,
just kidding] Really, Luke cuts her off, and she goes home to tend Lucas.
Scene 10
Steve Hardy buttonholes Kevin and unexpectedly offers him the Chief of
Psychiatry position at GH. Kevin readily accepts.
Scene 11
Stone finally gets so ill he needs to go out on the train platform for air (a
euphemism for puke, I wonder); so, he and Robin leave under the careful
scrutiny of Brenda.
Scene 12
Alan promises to teach Emily (a fine young actress, IMHO) how to jitterbug, and
he asks if she'd like to go to the Nurse's Ball this year.
Scene 13
Paige ("I'm not dead yet") says she'll hold on till Emily returns to say
goodbye.
Scene 14
Lucky reports that the entire block is dark, so Laura phones the power company.
With nothing else to do, they lock up tight and head for bed. Lucky is
particularly edgy and looks out the window nervously.
Scene 15
AJ crows to Mae Mae, jason, and Keesha about how well the Charles Street
project is going. He anticipates getting a Federal grant soon.
Scene 16
Lucky and Foster come downstairs to sleep so they can guard against anyone
breaking in.
Scene 17
Sonny and Brenda return to the club and fill Luke in on the wedding events. He
asks Sonny to take over so he can go check out his house since Lucky was in
earlier and was feeling nervous about security.
Scene 18
Kevin nibbles Lucy affectionately, and they small talk about her trip to
France.
Scene 19
Emily eagerly comes to see her mother, but sadly Paige is now very ill.
Scene 20
Foster awakens Lucky who hears someone outside. He tells Foster to guard the
door as he heads upstairs.
Scene 21
Kevin rambles on about how life is more fun with Lucy in it then without [duh].
She is incredulous that he just now realizes it, since she's been saying it for
months. He says he's addicted to her, and she comments coquettishly then
they'll just have to see that he always gets his fix.
Scene 22
Justus and Simone neck at her door before they head inside for more serious
action. As they start to throw off their clothes, the light goes on, and they
see Tom Sr. sitting on the couch. "You didn't waste much time, did you?" he
comments snidely.
Scene 23
Monica explains the grim situation to Emily. Though semi-conscious, Paige
doesn't really recognize Emily.
Scene 24
Lucky returns from upstairs with a double-barrelled shotgun [I thought it was
locked up?], takes a bead out the window, and blasts away at a shadowy figure
which plummets to the ground. Rushing outside to see what he's bagged, Lucky
is horrified at the sight. "Oh, no," he gasps, "I shot a bald eagle, and
they're a protected species!" Almost immediately, however, he sees the truth.
"Thank God," he exclaims, "it's only Dad."
