Daily Updates
Date: Tue, 30 May 95 09:25:08 PDT From: kathy@gundog.lbl.gov (Kathy Ellington) Subject: GH Update, Monday, May 29, 1995 General Hospital Update for Monday, May 29, 1995 Recap of GH, week of 5/22-5/26 courtesy of Contra Costa Times newspaper: ============================================================================ Stone recovered from his bullet wound and was released from the hospital. He told a stunned Sonny that he has AIDS then he volunteered to move out; Sonny insisted he stay. Alan talked to Robin about her health, since Stone could have infected her with AIDS. Stonny realized that Brenda felt left out but he was unable to tell her about Stone. Sonny talked to Kevin about how to help Stone deal with his illness. Lois' former boyfriend told her mother that he wanted Lois back. Monica sent Alan and Emily to Lois and Ned's wedding while she stayed with Page, whose conditioned worsened. Luke tried to explain his and Laura's problems to Lucky, who was upset that his father moved out. Laura confided in Justus about her problems with Luke. Cruising the Bay the Quartermaine Way! ============================================================================ We're dockside in NYC, ready to board the Quartermaine yacht. A happy group has gathered: Lois, Ned, Brenda, Sonny, Miguel, LeLee, etc. Hmmm. Brenda has clumped herself near Sir Simian and LeLee is at Sonny's side. As they board the boat Sonny manages to compliment LeLee within earshot of Brenda. The rest of the passengers, including the Cerullo entourage, finally arrive on board and the yacht sets off. Lois introduces everyone around. Sonny and Brenda quarrel about his keeping secrets from her. Stone gives Sonny permission to tell Brenda about his condition; Sonny says he'll let her know but not until after the wedding. LeLee mopes around by the food table, fingering the shrimp, and grudgingly dances with Duuuuh [who's undoubtedly hoping she'll finger his OWN shrimp someday]. Brenda escapes Sonny's vicinity and goes up to the deck; he joins her and says he'll blab the secret after the wedding. They proclaim their love for each other and embrace. Huh? and LeLee, who have come top side, exchange some inane dialogue on deck as the boat slips past the Statue of Liberty. She accuses him of giving up on loving her; he looks despondent [good! But, unfortunately, not so stricken that he ties a bag of rocks around his waist and jumps overboard...darn!]. Jason and Keesha are also on deck; they get quiet and thoughtful as they gaze upon the Statue of Liberty. Keesha manages to give us a mini-history lesson about Blacks coming over in slave ships, etc. Jason looks thoughtful and quietly agrees that it was a darned shame...then he sticks his tongue down her throat. Below decks, a slightly drunken Kevin attempts to explain Nietzsche to Mac, who burps his reply. Justus dances with Simone and asks if she's thinking of her wedding day (to Tom); she admits she is [but then she flashes on an image of Doc Tom's shrimp compared to Justus lobster tail]. Lois gets a late brainwave and asks Emily to be one of her bridesmaids. Emily is jazzed and phones up the Q mansion to tell Mom. The boat is nearing Coney Island and Edward tells the captain to swing close to shore. The captain tells Edward that it's dangerous to get too close and he'd rather not endanger the yacht or his license. Edward, showing off in front of Carmine and the other Cerullos, insists that his orders be followed. The captain complies and soon there's a satisfying "crunch" as the boat (presumably) lurches onto some rocks. We're getting down to the last Page in the Book ============================================================================ Page, who has just rung Death's doorbell but scampered away in time, awakens at the Q mansion. Monica regales he with stories of her stormy marriage to Alan. Page retaliates by boring us stiff with stories of her life with Hank, her dead husband. They get the call from Emily, about her being one of Lois' bridesmaids. An extremely weak Page manages to congratulate her daughter. After she hangs up Monica calls GH; she's decided to cart Page off to the hospital [hey, I thought she was going to die "at home" in the Q mansion?? What's this dragging her off to GH. I mean, didn't Page NOT want to be hooked up to tubes and stuff?? GH writers???]. Boris and Natasha bicker over Moose and Squirrel ============================================================================ Damian drops in on Kathryn, who tells him she's angry with him. First of all, she's hacked off at not being invited to Ned's wedding; she's also P.O.'d about his latest scheme to bring down Lucy. She suspects Damian's interest in Ms. Coe is more than just revenge. "What are you going to do with Lucy once you've got her?" she archly inquires. He says he'll merely enjoy the view of Lucy crumbling. He tries to interest Kathryn in the scheme, telling her he wants in on the game; that he needs her PR expertise. She doesn't buy it and tells him he should be concentrating on the Quartermaines and getting revenge on the whole family instead of zeroing in on the luscious Ms Coe. She emphatically declines to be part of the Madama Maya scam; "count me out of this latest Lucy scheme" she tells him. Damian tries to cozy up, but Kate ices over. He goes into some bloated explanation of their "working agreement", stressing that it's strictly lust and business between them. Kathryn is obviously hurt that Damian didn't proclaim his undying love [poor Kate, you could almost feel sorry for her...always looking for love and acceptance]. Bobbie pulls one way, Filly the other. Tony feels like "Wishbone Jones" ============================================================================ Back at the brownstone, Bobbie tends to Lucas who still has his sore throat. Both of them wonder where Tone Loc is? Wouldn't Bobbie be pissed off to know that Big Tone is downstairs [or is it upstairs??] in Filly's apartment, painting stars on Maxie's bedroom ceiling. Bobbie calls GH to see if Tony has left. Amy says he left hours and hours ago and offers to page him. Meanwhile Tony has accepted an offer of dinner from Filly when his pager goes off. He rushes upstairs (or is it downstairs??) to phone the hospital and runs into the angry, quivering Bulwark. She says they were worried when he didn't show up and confronts him about spending more time with Lucas [and, implied, less time with Filly and Maxie]. He explains that he needed to fulfill a promise Andrew made to Maxie before the deadbeat dad skipped town. Then he goes all noble on her and says it's bad to argue about so trivial a thing and why don't they concentrate on Lucas? She fumes. end end send comments, questions, and flames to kathy%gundog@lbl.gov end end
