Subject:  General Hospital Update for Wednesday 5/24/95
Date: Thursday, 5/25/95

This is my first  update on the net although I have been voicing
my opinions about GH for years.  Finally, I can let the world
know my views!! :)

Unfortunately, my first update was for a VERY boring episode.
With the exception of Stone, Sonny and Kevin,  this episode
followed the storylines of characters I am not really interested
in (Damian and Katherine).

HOPELESS IN PORT CHUCK

Scene 1 - Sonny & Stone share tender moments
We open with Sonny and Stone at the apartment.  Stone is
surrounded by bottles and bottles of medicine.  Stone (looking
hopeless) complains about taking the medicine, missing the
wedding and life in general (who can blame him).  Sonny comforts
him, makes him take his AZT and the two share their special bond
(Sonny is a sweetheart deep down inside).

Scene 2 - Demon and Katybelle
Damian calls Sonny for the scoop on the shoot-out.  Sonny puts
him off (He s got other worries).  In walks Katherine and the two
exchange their usual mindless comments.  Katy turns on the OJ
trial (even she is hooked) and they both watch a commercial about
a psychic hotline ($3.95 per minute).  Suddenly, Damian gets an
idea! (Uh oh!)

Brenda comes back to the apartment and sees Sonny crying and as
usual Brenda pesters Sonny to tell her what is wrong
(Brenda -- Can you say BACK OFF!!)  He explains (very well I
might add) that it s a secret that he can t betray and it has
NOTHING to do with danger or the shoot-out but Brenda just can t
understand the concept (Brenda -- Do the words LET IT GO ring a
bell?)

Robin wanders into the Outback (looking hopeless)and Mac (who is
clueless so it s not his fault) says all the wrong things (Open
mouth, insert foot)

Scene 3 - Misc.
At the Quartermaine's, Lois (who is having a BAD hair day) talks
about the wedding...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...  At the gatehouse, Ned
and Mac (who both have on great silk shirts) do some
Sonny-bashing.  Brenda and Sonny have their same recycled fight
..."Sonny, Don t shut me out"  ...  "Brenda, back off"  ...
"Sonny, I bet you ll talk to Lily"  ...  "Brenda, Don t go there
again. This jealousy stuff is really worn out"  ...   Sonny
leaves and Brenda stands in the doorway looking hopeless and
confused.

Scene 4  -  Advice anyone?
Damian calls the psychic hotline (Madame Maya - a phoney, what a
surprise) and offers her scads of money to  help him in his plan
to destroy Lucy.  Maya s eyes light up with $$$ signs and with
her supposed  "gypsy"  accent she tells her assistant (lackey)
that  "This man has an evil hidden agenda"   (Nooooo, does he
really?)

Sonny goes to see Kevin (who as usual has free time to talk) and
the two have a really cool talk about Stone, his condition, Sonny
s feelings, etc. ( It was excellent).  Kevin tells Sonny to talk
to him or Robin when he feels the need and to try and convince
Stone to tell everyone he has AIDS.

Meanwhile, a self-absorbed Brenda burst into the gatehouse and
plops down right in between Ned & Lois (ruining their mood) and
announces that she is NOT a happy camper (therefore no one else
can be happy).  She alarms everyone with her interpretation of
Sonny's actions after he EXPLICITLY said that his mood had
NOTHING to do with danger.  Now they all stand around and look
hopeless.

That's all for now.  All we can do is hope for a more interesting
show tomorrow.
