From: Alice Mobaidin alicemob@access5.digex.net Subject: GH: Update for Tuesday, May 23 Date: Tue, 23 May 1995 21:30:45 -0400 This is my very first update...I'm shaking like a leaf...I've dreamed about this day my whole life...Please, please, please be gentle and try and respect me in the morning... GENERAL HOSPITAL Tuesday May 23, 1995 Finally we've started another day. That day after the big shootup lasted what, a week and a half? Well anyway, here goes: I. What Goes Around Comes Around II. Review and Reflection III. True Friends I. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND The day starts with normal morning pandemonium in Felicia's apartment. Maxie's trying to get ready for school, having trouble getting dressed, finding her lunch, etc. Little Georgie had a bad night and is still screaming. Felicia shows a bit of real life stuff with how mornings are in a "normal" home. Once Maxie goes off to school and Georgie calms down, Felicia falls on the couch and wonders why it feels like midnight already. Soon, Tony stops by all cheerful. He fawns over the baby, offers babysitting help. They chitchat and start bonding. Neither is going to Lois and Ned's wedding; they were worried about Robin and the shootout. Tony is just Mr. Wonderful as he offers to help Felicia around the house in any way he can. All smiles on this front. Meanwhile, Bobbie stops in Kevin's office to fill him in on the failed sexual encounter. Tony just wasn't up to the task. Kevin tries to come up with reasons why Tony couldn't - maybe the anniversary of BJ's death was too traumatic; maybe after such a long period of abstinence the little fellows just plain forgot how... Bobbie says, "I wasn't looking for the Fourth of July," she really just wanted to be held. Bobbie describes the relationship as having a glass wall between them. Things were uneasy, they hadn't discussed the matter. Bobbie is sure Tony feels just as bad. (Scene Description: While Bobbie was somberly describing this sad state of affairs to Kevin, we were switched to Tony and Felicia laughing and having a great time together...) Kevin's advice is to take things slow. Later, Bobbie and Tony run into each other at GH and she asks if he'd be willing to add an extra therapy session. He is busy, says no. He basically brushes her off. II. REVIEW AND REFLECTION Luke wakens from a cramped and uncomfortable night on the couch. Foster has claimed about 2/3 of the couch as his. Laura comes downstaires looking sad. They have an uncomfortable conversation saying how odd it is in this situation. Should Luke stay for breakfast? No. Too much like old times. The decision is give Laura room and time. Lucky comes downstaires and hopes his father's presence means his parents are working things out. Luke says no, but assures his son there is a nonverbal bond between Mom and Dad. Laura is edgy because of all the guns. Luke describes the relationship as "inevitable" and tries to assure Lucky this will all blow over. Mom just needs some time. Luke goes to GH to visit Mike and talk. Over ice cream he tells Mike Laura threw him out. Mike feels confident they will work it all out. Mike tells Luke about Brenda's recent visit and her questions about Sonny's involvement in organized crime. He tells Luke he just played dumb. Mike wants Luke to really try to save his marriage; Mike now has serious regrets about walking out on his family (and isn't it about time?). Justus stops by to see if Laura is OK. Mary Mae filled him in and he offers any help he can provide. Justus is suspicious of Sonny. Laura explains Luke and Sonny are very similar; they march to the same drummer. Laura admits having wonderful adventures with Luke but the children have slowed her taste for adventure. Laura knows Luke loves her and he loves the kids. Laura has that age old quandry: can't live with the man, can't live without him. III. TRUE FRIENDS Stone and Robin are in his hospital room. Alan comes in (Finally a doctor wearing a white jacket; so reassuring...). Stone is really feeling the effects of the AZT. Once again they wonder if there was a mistake, could the lab have screwed up? Robin wonders how the disease could have progressed so far in such a short time. Alan says he's got a particularly virulent strain of the virus. After checking the bullet wound in Stone's leg, Alan says he's going to release him. Stone immediately panics. He now has to face the world and worries about being rejected, outcast, etc. He's sure everyone will shun him once they find out he has AIDS. Robin and Stone head over to Sonny's apartment. After leaving him in Sonny's hands, Robin stops at the Outback to see Mac. Mac is supportive but makes it clear they need to talk about Robin getting mixed up in a shootout. He talks about how young people think they're immortal. Robin may be young, but she's sure learning about mortality... Back at Sonny's, Harry is reporting that Scully's mignons were wiped out and all is looking well. When Stone and Robin arrive, Harry departs. Sonny thanks Robin for taking care of Stone. Once Robin leaves Sonny talks to Stone, thinking he freaked out because of the impending mob shootout. Sonny still has no idea why Stone was acting crazy. Sonny tries to reassure Stone it's alright, everyone gets scared now and then. Stone bursts into tears and after some difficulty admits to Sonny he has AIDS. Sonny is barely able to speak coherently but manages a few questions along the lines of, "you were just tested recently," and "we'll get a second opinion." Anything to grasp at a hope it's not as bad as it sounds. Stone assures Sonny it's true and he does have advanced AIDS. Stone asks Sonny not to tell Brenda. He then offers to move out. Sonny probably doesn't want someone with this awful disease living with him. Sonny says absolutely not. Stone will stay there. Sonny tells Stone he loves him and they hug. (What a guy!! That Sonny is just all heart!) That's all she wrote. ########################################################################### Alice Mobaidin "The struggle to maintain my own individuality and freedom was always more important to me than the wildest love affairs" -Emma Goldman circa 1900 ###########################################################################
