Daily Updates
From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Soggy Update, Thursday May 18 Date: Fri, 19 May 1995 05:09:18 GMT First off, thanks to Nancy for doing the update last week while I was touring the bookstores of the Pacific Northwest. (Oh, and picking up the college son, who is still asleep.) Today's update will be pretty short. It's hard to write while wiping one's eyes, and today was definitely a 4-hanky day. 1. THE MDP FALLOUT CONTINUES Bobbie is looking sad when the doorbell rings and it's Luke. Can he stay at the Brownstone? He tells her what's been going on. She is horrified, but amazed that Laura (thinks: EarthMotherDoormat) has actually asked Luke to leave. [Unfortunately my family did have a bit of VCR trouble and I lost the last 30 minutes of Tuesday. But it could have been worse.] "Gee, our spouses are straight, aren't they?" Tony comes in and gets the story and doesn't want Luke to stay. Something about bullets and Lucas. Bobbie huffs that she DOES want Luke and Tony gives up: "your son, your house." Luke goes to the club to see what's up, and Sonny wants to resolve personal issues. He apologizes, and tells Luke that he, Sonny, will get out of the partnership if Luke wants. Luke, of course, doesn't want. Sonny is pleased. (He probably will not be so happy with his other partnership. Lois has had the story from a still shaking, still furious, Brenda, and is coming to have it out with Sonny. I'm not sure if she's madder about the gang stuff or that Nedly was right (he's going to say he told her so, too, isn't he?)) 2. STONE AT GH Stone is really unhappy when faced with two doctors, but Kevin tells Alan the story, and Alan is very calm and collected. Stone doesn't want to even think about options, and Robin asks to talk to him alone. She lays down the law while Alan remarks to Kevin "Oh, my God. Robin!" and Kevin says, low key, "I know." They come back in the room and Stone is willing to listen to the medical remarks. They want Robin to get tested and she refuses. Stone will not stay in the AIDS ward, and the word to Sonny and Mac is that he is in for exhaustion. Robin leaves with Alan and Kevin, who chase her into a room and keep telling her to get tested. Alan points out she gave Stone good advice, and that she should give herself the same. She says she doesn't want to know. Then she admits she's scared. Kevin looks her in the eye and tells her she NEEDS to know. She agrees and Alan prepares to draw blood. 3. THE ANNIVERSARY OF BJ'S DEATH. Tony is rehashing his discussion with Frisco to Felicia and reiterates about how angry he is that HE has lived a year without BJ and Frisco just takes Maxie for granted. Felicia wants to come along to the cemetary when they go. She also refers to the day as the anniversary of Maxie's health. Meanwhile, at the cemetary, Lucy is planting pansies and talking to BJ about how precious she was. Lucy expresses regret at not savoring her days with BJ more. She would give anything she has for another afternoon. Later Lucas gives BJ a stuffed kitty, and Tony and Bobbie wonder about the pansies. Bobbie theorizes it was Lucy and doesn't even make a nasty face. They plan to say thanks. They sit and say whatever comes to their mind. Maxie goes up to the gravestone and talks to BJ.
