Subject: gh update 5/17/95 Date: Thu, 18 May 95 11:02:38 -0700 From: Nancy Spera njs@chevron.com GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, May 17. 1995 Today's Stories Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Illuminated Felicia Says GO! Bio-Hazard Infectious Agent Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Illuminated --------------------------------- Luke arrives at the club just after Sonny has told Harry Sonny wants Scully's men taken out "clean." Luke asks if Harry is going to clean up the mess and figures Harry *is* working for the kingpin, as Luke nods towards Sonny. Harry learns Laura isn't exactly fine, in fact she's like Luke's never seen her. Luke rambles on about Laura having had it and the choices he and Sonny have made that Laura had no say in. Luke remarks she knew going into marriage with Luke that it wouldn't be a "normal" marriage. Their life in 18 countries by the time Lucky was 7 was difficult but it was "life" for Luke. Luke had thought with Frank out of the picture he'd be able to give Laura the life she's wanted but that's gone now that their house which Laura had seen as safe saw hell come crashing through the front door. Luke also realized that if it weren't for Laura he'd be in the morgue so that's why he left without arguing when she ordered him out. Even though they both think there is very little possibility of Scully's men returning Sonny agrees to have 4 of his best men guard the Spencer house. Finally Luke gets around to asking what happened at the club. All Sonny offers is that they shot up the bathroom and that Brenda is asking questions, that she has realized this was about more than Scully wanting a piece of the club. Sonny doesn't know how he is going to answer her questions. Luke learns Stone is missing and really panics when he hears Robin was there. He is relieved to hear she's ok but they both acknowledge that Mac is going to be asking a lot of questions. Later Luke is lounging in front of the fireplace and muses that he "always" tried to do the right thing but had a feeling in his gut that someday Laura would wake up and see the whole picture. Today there was light in dark places and Lucas Lorenzo Spencer was lit up and he wonders what he is going to do now. Felicia Says GO! ---------------- Frisco can't believe Felicia is telling him to go. As she goes off to help him pack he calls her back to discuss this. Felicia knows he "said" he's staying but she saw the look on his face when Rakeem came in with the news they were needed. However, Frisco won't walk out just because Felicia orders him to. Those are the operative words for Felicia, walk out! She does want him to stay but not because he feels obligated to and they have a discussion on the meaning of obligation. Filly gets Frisco to admit that he wanted to go on the mission and she wants him to go...and to stop kidding himself. He really does want to go even though he said no and said no only because that's what he ought to do. She wants him to stay but not with regrets. Filly agrees that he is starting to get tired of the life he's been living but isn't quite ready yet to say now is when to quit instead of later. Frisco has given in and goes to say goodbye to Maxie. Frisco and Felicia try to explain about Frisco leaving for an emergency. Frisco is very proud of how grown up Maxie is and promises to come back soon, maybe for a long time. Maxie tearfully tells him having him in Port Charles makes her happy. Frisco is off to tell Tony. When Frisco sees Tony in the brownstone living room and tells him he has something to tell him Tony figures out Frisco is bailing out again. It's not fine with Tony even if Filly can accept it. To Tony, Felicia is too blinded by love. It's even harder for Tony since this is the day BJ died and Maxie got her heart. He goes on about Frisco not realizing what he has but Frisco asks Tony not to take responsibility for his family but to take responsibility for his own life, Frisco doesn't want to have to clean it up when he returns. Frisco remarks that he knows all too well what he has in his family. They hug as Tony tells Frisco Frisco is "a piece of work." Frisco heads back to Felicia and Maxie where Rakeem has returned. Maxie thanks Rakeem for coming to her tea party. Maxie gives Bimbi to Frisco so he and Rakeem can practice playing nice for when they return. Frisco comments Maxie has her mother's unselfishness as tears fall down Maxie's face. Fricso and Felicia just look at each other as he walks out the door. As Frisco leaves, trying to keep composed Maxie and Felicia hug as tears fall down their faces. Bio-Hazard Infectious Agent --------------------------- Stone tries to get Robin to leave but she won't go and when she tries to look at his wound he pushes her away. No one can help him. He tries to tell her she's putting her life in danger but Robin won't leave him. It doesn't matter to Stone since he's going to die anyways. Robin has no clue when Stone says those at the hospital can't help him. Finally he tells her he's HIV+ but Robin can't believe it. They don't understand how he can be HIV+ after the previous test was negative. Robin understands about false positives but Stone has realized his "flu" symptoms match. Robin is still in denial that HIV+ means Aids for Stone. Stone doesn't understand because he bolted before Kevin could explain. He tells Robin she needs to get tested since they've had unprotected sex since she went on the pill. Robin continues to deny that she could be infected. She wants to go to GH to get his wound treated. Stone still wants no help and doesn't want to tell anyone. They'll think he's dirty...which is how he feels about himself. Robin finally convinces him to allow her to call Kevin to meet them at GH so they can find out what Stone's options are. At GH Kevin meets Robin and Stone where Stone lets Kevin know Stone has told Robin the test results. Kevin explains how Stone could have tested negative before and yet be positive now and finds out that while Stone hasn't used needles since he tested negative but that he has had unprotected sex recently. Stone's lack of knowledge is apparent when Kevin wants them to get medical attention. Stone wants no parts of any more doctors knowing he is HIV+. Steve comes in to attend to his leg but before he does Stone tells Steve his test results. Steve has to assure Stone that his HIV status will make no difference on how he is treated, all GH folks take precautions. As the scene fades Steve and the nurse are putting on gloves. Once Stone is treated Steve wants to discuss long term care and management of Stone's disease but Stone doesn't see that he has options. Kevin gets Steve to recommend Alan for care but Stone files off the handle, he doesn't want anyone else to know. They try to reassure Stone it will be confidential and finally Robin convinces Stone to see Alan. Kevin wants Robin to get tested but she wants to delay until after Stone is taken care of. When Kevin leaves to make a call Stone sees the bin that Steve and the nurse put the gloves they were wearing - Bio-Hazard Infectious (which Stone needs help from Robin to read) Agent.
