General Hospital Update for Friday, May 5, 1995

It's All Happening at the Club
==============================
Brenda tells Luke that she's afraid for Sonny; she can't reach him in his
grief. Luke counsels her to cool her jets and leave him alone. Sonny will
get around to Brenda when he can handle her. She replies that she knows
Sonny better than Luke does.

Kevin & Lucy:
At a table, Lucy is cajoling Kevin into having a good time. He's grumping
around as usual, enjoying being a martyr. Damian sends a bottle of champagne
over to their table. Kevin refuses it; Lucy accepts it. Kevin remains
peevish and wants to dump the champagne bucket over Damian, dousing him with
icy water. Then he refuses to drink the champagne and orders Aquavit instead.
Later in the evening, Kevin snags Stone and tells him drop by the hospital
for a visit, the kid's test results are in.

Katherine & Damian:
Meanwhile at their table across the room, Katherine is hacked off that Damian
sent Lucy a bottle of the bubbly. She can't understand his mild-mannered
behavior toward Lucy. He reassures her that it's all part of "The Plan" (to
bring Lucy down).
Jason and Keesha, also at the club, are visited by A.J., who spreads a little
venom. Katherine observes the action then sleazes over to A.J. to shmooze
up and further her scheme (to set A.J. up and in the future embarrass him and
the Q family and the Charles Street Foundation when the Q's cheat on their
taxes, which they surely will). A.J. blabs to her about the price they paid
for the Charles Street property. She urges A.J. to use her Washington contact
(a guy who's in charge of doling out grants) and attempt to grab the biggest
grant they can get for Charles Street. Katherine returns to Damian,
smirking about how bright she is. She does admit, however, that A.J. is no
fool and that she'll have to be careful in the future. They crow about the
mess that the Q's are going to wander in to. Damian hopes that Justus will
be tarred with the same brush.

Lois & The Weasel:
Ned wants Lois to look clsely at the most recent Sonny imbroglio. He says
it's extremely dangerous to have the mini-mobster around and wants L&B to
jettison him. He says it's totally uncool to have Sonny around because
bullets fly when he's in the picture. Then he tells Lois that she means more
to him than anyone in the world and he doesn't want her to "slip over the edge
of disaster" because of Sonny. Lois wants to put him off and says they'll
talk about the Sonny-thing later; Ned says he won't forget!

The Ward Family (and I don't mean Wally and the Beaver):
It's congratulations all around for May-Mae after she finishes singing her
songs. She joins Edward and the two of them have a brief reminiscence of
late nights, half a century ago, when his salami was passed frequently and
with vigorous rhythm...ah, those were the days. Over at the "Georgie Jones"
table, Rakeem seems quite interested in her, too, and asks Tony to introduce
him to the little songbird. Tony takes him over, Edward scoots off and
Rakeem moves in. First he compliments MM on her voice and then offers to
buy her some booze. Tony shoves off and leaves them to it. Rakeem asks MM
about her life; she tells him (yawn). Then he tells her about his life and
how he joined the WSB (double-yawn). The two oldsters are being observed by
Keesha and Jason; Keesha wanders over to Justus and asks him who the old guy
is with May-Mae and why are they flirting? Seems that the newly-deflowered
Keesha isn't exactly thrilled to observe her grandmother as a sexual persona.
Luke tells them that Rakeem works for the WSB and Keesha is even more
non-thrilled that her Granny-Mae is flirting with a spy! May-Mae drags Rakeem
over to meet Justus, Keesha, Jason and Simone. The Wards are extremely
ungracious toward him. Nevertheless, Rakeem and MM plan to have dinner the
next night and generally whoop it up. She is giddy from performing and
flirting, which seems to irritate the hell out of her grandkids. She cackles
into their pouty little faces.

Alan, Monica, & Paige:
Alan bitches to Paige that Monica is going back to work too soon. He moans
about how she's thinking of everyone else except herself and her recovery.
Paige tells him about Monica's generosity of spirit, etc.; then she tells
him he's generous, too. He manages to feel like a worm.

The Vogons Start Constructing a Hyperspace Bypass on Mike
=================================================================
At GH, Sonny gets a briefing on Mike's condition from Bobbie. They're going
to give Mike an angiogram because he's having heart attacks. Monica arrives
and says she heard about the Mike situation at the club. She's there to help
if she can. Sonny asks Monica to be the one to operate on Mike; she agrees.
Soon thereafter, Monica and the other doc on duty prepare to slice n'dice
Mike for bypass surgery. Monica and Crew have a hard time during Mike's
operation. He's losing blood and things are tense. Meanwhile, back at Luke's
Club, LeLee wanders in looking for Miguel. He's not around so she asks for
Sonny. Luke, the blabbermouth, gives her the short version of what happened
the night before. She takes off for the hospital and joins Sonny, who is
waiting for Mike to come out of surgery. Monica finally emerges and says Mike
came through the operation, not with flying colors, but he's stable. Monica
leaves and Sonny works on his facial tics while LeLee stares into space.

Bimba and the Deadbeat-Dad Start to Thrash it Out
=================================================
Frisco and Filly return home. He's jazzed up about parenting the girls. She
gets in another dig about how he probably won't be around to see them grow up.
He tells her that he wants to come home, to be with her and the girls. Then he
starts getting affectionate. Will he use his worm to worm back into her good
graces? Good Gracious!
