From: sellis@ucrengr.ucr.edu (sheri ellis) Subject: GH: Update for Tuesday, May 2 Date: 3 May 1995 14:11:34 GMT GENERAL HOSPITAL Update for Tuesday, May 2 by Sheri Ellis (sellis@brigid.ucr.edu) (filling in for crp:) Scene 1 Frisco is back, and repeatedly asks Felicia if she wants him to stay. First she says they shouldn't talk about it till they've had some rest. Frisco gets the munchies and decides to raid her fridge. Scene 2 Page, tossing and turning, is visited by Emily. Obviously in pain, she tells Emily she's "as okay as I can be right now". Monica and Emily talk her into taking her pain medication, though she says it does weird things to her head (maybe it's that scarf?). Scene 3 Starts with repeat from yesterday. Sonny confronts Joe. As Joe tries to shoot Sonny, Mike comes out of nowhere and takes the bullet. Luke throws Lucy the keys to the car and tells her to get out of there. Sonny and Joe point guns at each other, Joe telling Sonny he won't do it. Scene 4 Mike moans on the floor. Joe leans over to take another shot at Mike, and Sonny shoots him. As Joe dies, he tells Sonny he's learned the last lesson: when it's you or your enemy, only one of you walks away. "Taught you good, didn't I?" Joe says, and then falls back, dead. Sonny replies, "Yes, you did, Joe." Sonny gently closes Joe's eyes. Luke yells, "Sonny! He's still alive! We've got to get him some help, fast!" Scene 5 Emily asks Page if she'd like her to read some poetry. Emily explains to Monica that they've been reading poetry to each other since she was little, from a book that belonged to Page's grandmother. Page asks for Tennyson. Emily reads a haunting poem about coming death, "May there be no sadness or farewells when I embark"..."I hope to see my pilot face to face when I have crossed the bar". Scene 6 Frisco makes the pita sandwich from hell: white gushy stuff (tofu), some of that sandy-tasting stuff, sliced avocado, alfalfa sprouts. Miss Healthnut chides him on his choices and asks if it's good. Frisco says it could use a few slices of pastrami, and reminds her she hasn't answered his question. Felicia says she appreciates Akim's help. He says again she hasn't answered. She says she doesn't know what to say. (YAWN) Scene 7 Luke, holding his hand over Mike's wound, yells at Sonny that he needs help fast. Sonny, in a daze, asks in a small voice where Mike came from. Luke snaps, "Just be glad he came!" Sonny mumbles some more. Lucy shows up, sees Mike, starts freaking. Sonny snaps out of it, tears off his shirt and tie, says "We've got to put pressure on the wound". They take Mike away. Sonny goes back to get something, Luke yells at him to "come on!". Scene 8 Emily describes her greatgrandmother's book, wistfully remarking on how it was falling apart. Monica cheerfully explains that it can easily be restored, with a new cover and patched pages. Page whines "It should be so easy for people". A pregnant pause, then Page sends Emily to bed. Once she's gone, Monica and Page discuss how wise Emily is beyond her years. Monica suggests she's an old soul. Page recalls seeing Emily for the first time. Monica: "You let her be who she is, and that's the greatest gift you could've given her. Page starts sobbing uncontrollably. Scene 9 Page apologizes for her outburst, explaining it's that minutia business again, that she thought she had years to tell Emily stories such as her memories of her grandfather and his coin collection. "Since she's not going to have any family, I mean blood relatives, I wish I could give her the small things, the stories." She agonizes that she'll never have the chance to tell Emily about all her things. Monica says "Not necessarily." Scene 10 Felicia says "the question isn't what I want: it's what you want". They talk about how Frisco hasn't had a home. Felicia says she no longer doubts she is able to handle whatever life hands her. She reminisces about the birth, the ordeal with Ryan, and how she made it through without him. And she'll be damned if she sets them up for another disappointment. Frisco acknowledges she can live without him, but asks why she should have to. They kiss. Awwww. Scene 11 Mike is in the backseat of the car being cared for by Lucy. Luke says he told Garcia what happened and to meet them at the hospital, then insists he drive. Lucy screams she can't find his pulse. Sonny is pensively withdrawn. Scene 12 Lucy keeps babbling in the backseat, asks how Sonny and Luke found her. Luke tells her Damian helped them. Luke wants to know how she stayed in one piece until they got there. Lucy recounts how she kept one-upping Joe, replying How dare you? when he said How dare you?, and her silly story about Jonesy Alan and Phil Kusack. Luke seems impressed. Sonny asks what's happening with Mike. Lucy goes into her hysterics again. Luke hits the gas, tells everyone to hang on. Scene 13 Felicia says she thinks the problem is that Frisco isn't listening to her. He says she's the one not listening, that he wants to make big changes, to stay there and be a father. She says she knows him, that he'll always be what he is, and she wants to believe him but doesn't want to put the girls in a position to get hurt. Frisco: "Why don't we just be glad to see each other?" They make out. Felicia makes him sleep on the couch. Frisco asks haltingly, "How long will it be like this?" She giggles, "I guess we'll see! Sweet dreams!" Scene 14 Page wishes she could sort her stuff out for Emily. Monica offers to go to Phoenix and pack up and send it all back, so Page and Emily can go through the small stuff. Page doesn't think she's strong enough for it. Monica asserts that it is within her power. Page says she's feeling goofy, fades out. Monica gets worried, wakes Page up to ask her if she wants the light off or on. Page mumbles about liking the light on if she wakes up in the night. A quick shot of Monica outside the bedroom door taking a deep breath. Scene 15 Monica tells Alan about her plan. Alan of course complains, doesn't understand why Monica can't just let Reginald deal with it, that she's done enough by taking in Emily and he can't allow her to jeopardize her condition. Monica doesn't remember asking his permission, and reminds Alan she's been given a positive prognosis and wants to give something for someone who wasn't as lucky. She insists. Alan gives in. She leaves. He stands at the window, looking worried and morose. Scene 16 Boobie in ER, runs into Tony. They both wonder what the other was doing there. Some patient of Boobie's asked for her. Tony didn't want to go to bed. He tells her Frisco is back. Suddenly Mike & Co. burst into the ER. Lucy does her hysterical act. Luke tells her she did good. Garcia wants to know how they found Lucy. Luke insists he had a tip and has to keep it confidential. An orderly asks if anyone knows the man that was brought in. After a pause, Sonny says "Yes, he's my father." Scene 17 Frisco tosses and turns on the couch. Felicia shows up. Frisco asks hopefully if she changed her mind. No, she replies, I just thought I'd bring you a pillow. She's going to make this difficult, Frisco mutters. Scene 18 ER. Lucy tells her breathless story. Garcia wants to know why Luke didn't call him when he got the tip. Luke explains they wanted to see if the tip was real, and then it all just happened. Garcia says they will probably cut him some slack because it was Scummy. Luke reminds him some thanks go to his partner, and that he hopes it settles the score with Donnelly. Boobie announces Mike's BP was dropping. They rush him out. Fade to black. Roll credits.
