                            GH Update for 03/31/95
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
Luke checks out Brenda's party seating arrangements with Mike, then banters
with Sonny about what he got for Brenda.
Scene 2
At GH, Bobbie and Amy chat about the party when Tony tells her he has emergency
surgery again and may not make it to the party. Bobbie is understanding about
it, but decides to go alone.
Scene 3
Alan and Monica slow dance around before the party. Alan is excited they will
be finally getting out. Unfortunately, Monica says she feels sorry for Paige
and will be staying home with her, but he should go alone.
Scene 4
A slip clad Lucy admonishes Kevin for his behavior at the club. He says he's
sorry, but would like to know why she was coming on to Joe Scully. She
continues to clam up, and he begins to get aggravated. Finally, however, he
gives in to her assurances, and they head for the party.
Scene 5
At first, Alan is disappointed at Monica's continued morbid obsession with
Paige's upcoming demise, but then suggests he stay home as well. She insists
he go without her.
Scene 6
Lois and Ned arrive at the party. Alone, Sonny fingers a ring box.
Scene 7
Lois heads upstairs to hurry up Brenda, who is still convinced that Sonny plans
to give her an engagement ring. Brenda almost puts on a dress for her grand
entrance.
Scene 8
Felicia, her grandmother, and Tony fawn over the baby. Turns out Tony's
patient flat-lined before he could lay his hands on him, so he wasn't needed
after all. Eventually, Mariah convinces them to go to the party.
Scene 9
Back at Luke's, Mike hits on Bobbie at the bar, while Lily and Miguel bicker
quietly.
Scene 10
Alan arrives and snatches Bobbie from her bar perch. Lily and Miguel continue
to argue with her telling him he's got a problem, and he maintaining all she
wants to do is spawn immediately. When Lily mentions Sonny, Miguel gets PO'd,
so she tells him they're not likely to get married soon so why doesn't he just
take his banana and split.
Scene 11
When Tony and Felicia arrive, Luke shows them to the "Georgie Jones Memorial
Table" complete with a small engraved plaque on it. Alan spots them, and he and
Bobbie stroll over. Tony gets a bit tongue tied explaining how he showed up
with Felicia. Bobbie appears unflustered and understanding, and eventually, all
four sit down together.
Scene 12
With a drum roll, Brenda makes her grand entrance. Sonny and she make the
rounds thanking people for coming.
Scene 13
Luke saunters over to Edward's and Lila's table and flirts shamelessly with
Lila. During the conversation, Luke manages to slip in how Edward is trying to
strong arm Lucky into neutering Foster. Lila is calmly furious with Edward and
demands he include Miguel in the deal.
Scene 14
As AJ hits on Lily, Miguel starts to storm over, but Mae Mae intercepts him to
prepare for their song together.
Scene 15
M.C. Luke makes a toast to Brenda, and then Mae Mae, Ned, and Miguel sing a
round of "Happy Birthday." After which, Sonny gets up and makes a touching
speech which seems like a prelude to an engagement, especially when he presents
her with a beautiful ring. Disappointingly, however, for Brenda, he slips it on
her *right* hand. [bummer Bren]
Scene 16
Lucy turns her heater up a notch as she slithers over to Joe Scully and just
happens to mention the details of her new shipment. Kevin, unable to contain
himself, snatches her away. However, after a short and hushed confrontation
with Lucy, he stomps out, and Joe and Lucy pick up where they left off.
Scene 17
Lois and Ned admire Brenda's ring, but Brenda is clearly withdrawn and
disappointed.
Scene 18
As Miguel does whatever he does on stage, Lily asks AJ to dance close and slow
while Miguel looks on jealously. Suddenly, he bolts off the stage for AJ but is
pulled off quickly.
Scene 19
Miguel and Lily argue loudly in Spanish. Sonny joins in, and he and Miguel
almost go at it. Finally, the combatants are separated, and Luke resumes the
music. Poor Brenda is left looking dejected, and when Amy arrives and
cheerfully asks if she missed anything, Brenda breaks into tears.
