                           General Hospital Update
                               Tues Mar 21 1995

Hey, they finally fixed the credits so that the music ends after the hospital
shows up. And at long last, Laura is on Tuesday!

Mike is at teh club doing a morning routine when Brenda walks in and gets
some coffee. She is very cold to him and asks what is he doing there so
early. He tells the dog and Luke adventure story but he doesn't know how it
all ended up. She makes a snide remark about at least one father does the
right thing. Mike doesn't back down and presses her to talk. She chickens
out, he presses, she pushes off, he presses again and she finally tells him
that the step-pop beat the Missus and Sonny. Brenda makes Mike promise that
he won't tell anyone she told him. Sonny comes in and sees that the two of
them are in a pause of a very heavy conversation. Sonny is not happy and
forces Brenda to admit that she told Mike what the two of them had discussed
the previous night. Mike comes to Brenda's defense and Sonny starts arguing
and baiting him. Mike points out to Sonny that he can't change what happened
in the past but he wants to meet Sonny + in the present. Sonny tells Mike to
stay out of his face. He huffs off, leaving Brenda in tears.

EdQ is in his hospital room being, as expected, a real pain. Steve, Audry,
Lila and Amy are in the room. They tell him he is lucky that Foster took care
of him, he correctly reminds them that if it wasn't for Foster to begin with
he wouldn't have broken his leg. EdQ surmises that he has been attented to by
everybody because the hospital is afraid of law suits, they give up trying to
tell him he is just a crotchety old man. Steve tells him that EdQ will get
instructions on how to use crutches and to take it easy. EdQ tells Steve to
stuff it, Steve is no spring chicken and puts in 16 hour days. Amy takes a
pen and threatens to draw a smiley face on his cast.

Bobi is greeted by a very spiffly dressed Tony at the nurses station. He
brings her up to date on the Ryan & Georgia escape situation. They go into
EdQ room to get Steve and tell him that he and Audry are safe. While Steve is
out, the Qs ask Audry about Tom. She tells them the news about the divorce
and that Tom has already left.

Tom is at Simone's saying good-by to Junior. Junior understands that Tom is
going back to Africa but doesn't quite comprehend that his parents are
breaking up. Neither do the parents. As the taxi honks, Simone tells him that
he should only remember the years that they were in harmony and all the good
they did together.

From Ruby's Place [why is he there?] Luke calls a vivacious, fantastic
looking, sexy, sensous Laura and tells her about the puppy and EdQ breaking
his leg. He also tells her that Lucky is going over to the hospital to
discuss custody of the puppy. Lucky arrives with a care package of breakfast
which EdQ greatly appreciates and wolfs down with great relish. Lucky, with
an astonishingly husky voice [quick puberty kid, give thanks], says he can't
stay long, what with school and all, compliments the cast and offers to sign
it. EdQ, who is being very nice and sociable to Lucky, says no but tells him
to pull up a chair and EdQ will write a note for the teacher. Lucky replies,

            "As a matter of fact, there is some business I would like to
            discuss with you."[it wasn't so much the line, but the delivery
            and look on his face. Well, i guess you had to be there.] EdQ
plays it straight, and as Lucky brings up Lila's promise concerning the pick
of the litter. Amy comes in with the crutches, which interupts things, so
Lucky leaves with EdQ's promise to continue negotiations. Amy comments on how
cute Reginald is and again offers to sign the cast.
EdQ finally makes it home, where Ned and Lois present him with a tupperware
of cold pasta for breakfast. After a snowjob by mainly Lois, EdQ gives in and
lets Lois and Ned sign the cast.

Tony and Bobi meet up by the elevators. Bobi talks about praying for Filly
and Georgia and wondering about BJ. Toni says some nice thoughts, then offers
to share breakfast with her. At first she agrees but on second thought
realizes she is tired and hyper and may say the wrong things. Tony leaves.
