Today's Stories There's Been A Foster Sighting

Trying to Will the Phone to Ring

There's Been A Foster Sighting
------------------------------
Lucky calls Laura using the prearranged interrupted ring as a signal. After
some discussion of homework, Lucky relays the news of Foster and Annabelle's
escape. Laura observes that Foster is being a true Spencer. When Luke
comes in and gets on the phone he informs Laura that he's going to use Lucy
and her troubles with Deception to setup Joe Scummy. And only then will he
allow Laura and Lesley Lu to come home. It will take a while but it has to
be done right. Once the phone conversation is over Lucky is about to go
looking for the runaways but before he can leave Ruby arrives. She discovered
Foster outside Kelly's and feed him. Sometime later when she went to check on
Foster she discovered Foster had gone, and he had taken a 5 pound bag of
ground sirloin for his uptown girl. Later Lucky is about to go searching in
the cold but Luke tries to dissuade him, after all Foster is an independent
sort and will take care of his own. Lucky points out Luke is projecting.

It's Not Edward's Day
---------------------
Edward wants Jason and AJ to go find Annabelle and get rid of her puppies.
It's a subject Jason and AJ actually agree on, NO, they won't destroy the
puppies. When Edward tries to get Reggie to do the dirty work, Reggie who
has drawn the line at worms and ducks says no as well. He won't perform
pupicide. Besides he has a pretty full day ferrying Lila to all her
appointments. Edward's off to do the deed himself but before he can leave
Ned arrives. Ned wants to talk to Edward about Ned's future at ELQ. Ned lays
it on the line. He's coming back to ELQ and will spend Monday a.m. till
midday Friday at ELQ but come Friday afternoon, Ned is off as Eddie Maine.
Edward is not pleased. to say the least and starts to get worked up.
Precisely the reason Ned needs to come back as well as the fact that Ned needs
the challenge and power of ELQ. However Ned also points out that Lois and his
music give him real joy. He thinks he can balance the double life, he did
do it in secret before, and should he be needed on a weekend, he's got a
cellular phone and a notebook computer. Besides AJ can't hack it and Edward
can't take the stress. Edward realizes Ned is in earnest about this and gives
in, even though he doesn't like it. Edward is just as shocked about Ned's
seriousness about his other life as he was with Ned ultimatum to Edward "to
get over it." Ned then tries to talk Edward out of going after Annabelle,
what with Edward's heart and the cold weather. But Edward heads off on his
search.

Trying to Will the Phone to Ring
--------------------------------
Mac brings Maria, Maxie and Felicia back to Felicia's. While Maria puts
Maxie to bed and Felicica rests Mac checks with the station and finds out
that Garcia is on his way back from Bellmore. All Filly wants is her baby
back. Garcia, Kevin and Lucy arrive with the news that Ryan IS alive and
that they found his accomplice and occupational therapist, the blond Connie
in Ryan's grave. Garcia has posted guards at Filly's, the Hardy's and Kevin's
lighthouse. He'll also add guards at Mac's and as soon as the judge signs
the order phone taps will be place on Filly's and Kevin's home and office
phones. While Filly continues her crying, Garcia speculates they will hear
from Ryan and Filly agrees because of his actions when he kidnapped Maxie.
They all agree Ryan wants back in the spotlight. Lucy has made herself useful
and made tea for everyone. Since she's the only one standing she gets the
door when there's a knock. It's Bobbie. She's cleared her day. Since Bobbie
is there Lucy convinces Kevin to go get cleaned up and take a nap after their
harrowing night. Mac follows them out to tell Robin the news and asks Kevin
to stop as his place for a few questions. That leaves Bobbie to try to calm
Filly. [????] Filly is upset that she wants Frisco and that she has this
allusion that he'll walk through the door with Georgie having rescued her
from Ryan. She thought she had been so independent. All Filly wants now
is for Ryan to call. The phone does ring but it's Garcia. They've found
the switched plates. Meanwhile over at the Scorpio residence Mac and Kevin
realize they've been playing the same mind games of what Ryan will do.
Kevin figures it's Ryan's rage at rejection that is driving Ryan and that
if Ryan wanted to punish Felicia he'd just disappear with Georgie. Instead
Kevin thinks Ryan will want to contact them. In walks Robin who is shocked
to hear Ryan is alive and has kidnapped Georgie. As they talk about waiting
for Ryan to call Lucy suggests food, [good old Lucy] but the rest aren't
really interested. They need to start thinking so they're two steps ahead
of Ryan instead of being two steps behind, waiting for Ryan's next move.

The Waldorf It Ain't
--------------------
Across the border in Canada Ryan has found a place to stay, but "The Waldorf
it ain't." He makes plans to keep a low profile and promises to take care
of Georgie as long as she keeps the noise down. His long term plans are to
go to the coast of Newfoundland and then sail away from the cruel world. But
he also needs to change Georgie's name, as Felicia doesn't deserve this baby
but Ryan does. Ryan goes baby clothes shopping and is annoyed by the 20
questions posed by the clerk. He spins a tale of a mother interested only
in her career and him having sole custody. He calls Georgie "Celeste" as
we listen to "It's A Small World" over and over. Ryan returns to his room
with Georgie. With their outing over, and Connie's car with the stolen plates
disposed of he plans to lay low for a few days. Then it'll be time to get new
identity papers, a new car, and then off to Newfoundland with his little girl
forever.
