Date: Sun, 5 Mar 1995 22:31:10 CST From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 03/03/95 GH Update for 03/03/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Mae Mae arrives at Luke's club ready to peddle her pipes. Scene 2 Kevin and Lucy discuss Ryan's apparent funeral service. Kevin admits to being bothered by Ryan's death since Ryan had no history of heart trouble. Lucy tells him if he's going to be blue anyway, they might as well wallow in them; so, they head for Luke's place. Scene 3 Connie, like the good little ghoul she is, works feverishly at exhuming Ryan's ("I'm not quite dead yet") body. In the coffin, Ryan awakens and dons the oxygen mask previously slipped in by Connie. Scene 4 Back at Luke's, Tony, just back from his trip with Sean, arrives with Felicia and tells them the bullet fragments were removed, and Sean should eventually recover fully [probably on some other soap]. Felicia snaps at Luke that it was all his fault, and they start to exchange unpleasantries, but Tony intervenes and leads Felicia off to their table. Scene 5 Alan and Bobbie arrive and head over to Tony's table. On the way over, Bobbie comments to Alan that Tony might have told someone [read her] he was home. At first they all banter about Sean, but when Bobbie asks when he got back, he sincerely apologizes for not telling her immediately of his return. Scene 6 Monica and Paige discuss Emily's reaction to her mother's imminent death. Monica reiterates her invitation to come back to Port Charles with her. She tries to be supportive, but eventually starts to rant angrily over the injustice of Paige's situation. [Time to write yourself another Valium prescription, Doc] Scene 7 Kevin and Lucy arrive and banter with Luke. Lucy reminds Luke about how she saved his life, so the club really should be called [what else] Lucy's. Scene 8 As Ryan's air comes close to running out, Connie strikes pay dirt. She yells that Ryan must open the lid of his coffin, but when there's a delay, she becomes nearly hysterical with self-recriminations. Eventually, Ryan pops out of the coffin like a veritable Jack-the Ripper-in-the-Box. Scene 9 Luke schmoozes with Lila at the Quartermain table. The Q's all chit-chat about the blues and success of the club. Scene 10 Tom and Simone arrive, join Audrey and Steve Hardy, and promptly repeat their plans to split up. Meanwhile, Justus comes in with Keesha and chats with Luke who notices to Justus that Audrey is staring daggers at him. Scene 11 Kevin repeats his feeling to Lucy that something is wrong, just as simultaneously Ryan climbs out of his grave and is embraced passionately by Connie. Ryan asks her about how it all went, and she relates the story of how she convinced Kevin not to cremate him, and how hard digging him up was. Scene 12 More of the usual arrive at Luke's. When Sonny, Brenda, Ned, and Lois arrive, Luke tells them they were late, and he gave away their table [business is business]. He seats them with Amy ("I don't need this stinking job because I'm on Home Shopping") Vining and her date. Scene 13 Luke introduces Mae Mae who starts her act. Scene 14 Poor Connie thinks they are going to run away to Paris. Conveniently, she has arranged for two weeks vacation so no one will miss her, but unfortunately, Ryan has other plans for her. He touchingly kisses her, and she tells his she's in love with him. He responds by saying he's as close to her as he's been to anyone, then proceeds to strangle her with the scarf he made for her [nice touch]. "It's so sad, actually." he laments over her now lifeless body, "We'll never be able to say we'll always have Paris." Scene 15 Felicia has a few more abdominal pains, but she insists the baby won't arrive before Frisco. Scene 16 Monica continues to rail at fate saying Emily will grow up without her mother [Gee, Doc, you are just such a comfort]. Scene 17 Ryan thoughtfully puts Connie back in his coffin with a single rose [don't worry, it's all biodegradeable] saying she is better off now because she was too innocent for this world, and he's doing her a favor [and people say he's a sociopath]. Scene 18 Mae Mae completes her performance and gets a big ovation [Sorry, Mae Mae, I knew B.B King, and you're no B.B]. Scene 19 Felicia suddenly gets a strange look on her face and says, "Tony, now!" "Now, what?" he asks surprised. "Now," she insists, slipping under the table. Scene 20 Mike immediately rushes over and asks if everything is ok. Tony replies, "She's having a baby." "A baby?" he asks stunned, but manages to call out the proverbial line, "Is there a doctor in the house?" Amusingly, half the place stands up and shouts, "Here!" Under the table, Felicia tries to concentrate on her breathing. Meanwhile, the whole place is in an uproar with people crowding around to see what's happening [now that's what I call a floor show]. Scene 21 Ryan finds Connie's car and the money she brought and heads for Port Charles. "I'm going to slaughter that Miguel guy horribly, first," he says [sorry, just wishful thinking].
