Not A Done Deal
---------------
Alan gets a call from Monica at GH. She gives him the sad news about Page
and after Alan reiterates his offer to do anything for Page and Emily,
Monica floors him with the idea of raising Emily and taking care of Page
during Page's last months. He figures that when Page and Emily meet the
family they'll run from the room screaming. Monica and Alan agree to
discuss it but Monica is determined that raising Emily is the right thing
to do and makes all she's gone through have a purpose. But before they hang
up it is agreed it's not a done deal. Just as Alan hangs up, Bobbie is at
Alan's elbow and asks what is wrong. Alan tells Bobbie about Monica's new
focus, Page and Emily instead of herself. Bobbie is floored and Alan finds
himself feeling selfish for wanting Monica to himself (and for the boys)
now that he and she have survived another crisis in their marriage. Alan
just can't understand how Monica could have made the offer unilaterally.
Bobbie reminds Alan that Monica and Page bonded in a most intimate way but
Alan doesn't want their lives turns upside down with the addition of a little
girl in their life, no matter how great Emily is. That causes Bobbie to
point out that the same thing happened to her and Tony when they took custody
of Lucas, even if they had raised him some when Lucas was a baby. To keep
Alan from going home and brooding all evening Bobbie invites him to join her
at Luke's, to hear Mary Mae and Alan accepts.

Is There Somebody Else?
-----------------------
Just as Steve is about to leave for the hospital Tom arrives, he has
something to tell his parents. Audrey is thrilled to see him but her mood
shifts when Tom tells them he and Simone are ending their marriage. Tom
tries to explain how important the hospital in Chad is. Since Simone
doesn't want to pull up stakes to join him and rather than make her miserable
by forcing her to join him and or have Tom be resentful if he returned to
Port Charles they have decided to end their marriage even though they still
love each other. Audrey is concerned about Tommy and then asks "Is there
somebody else?" They are disturbed when Tom answers yes and that it is Tom
who has had the affair [ah, Audrey thought it was Simone and Justus!]. Tom
knows his parents are disappointed in him and that Steve is particularly
disappointed that Tom won't be following in Steve's footsteps at GH. But
for Tom, to live up to his idol, Steve, he has to be the best doctor he can
be and for Tom that is in Chad. Steve has had enough, he can't take anymore.
His heart is broken and he heads off to work. Once he's gone Audrey voices
her concerns that she's losing both Tom (to Africa) and Tommy, since
grandparents always get lost in the mix when there's a divorce. Meanwhile
over at the Ward house Simone unloads on Mary Mae. Mary Mae tries to
support Simone's decision and when Simone laments that she feels like a
failure Mary Mae comforts her. Justus comes in to see the two women "crying
in their beer." Before she leaves Simone promises to be at Luke's for Mary
Mae's performance. When Justus asks what was going on, Mary Mae lets slip
that Tom and Simone are splitting. There's a gleam in Justus' eye, but
Mary Mae warns him to stay disciplined since Simone is hurting.

A Visit to Beechers Corners
---------------------------
Before Luke and Lucky head off to see Laura they stop at the Wards to inform
Mary Mae and to let her know they'll be back in time for her performance.
When she asks if Laura and Lesley Lu will be returning with them...it's no,
he's going to tell Laura about Sean. When they arrive at Beechers Corners
Laura and the baby are at the library. Mrs. Whitaker can tell something is
up and she takes Lucky and Foster with her to get apples. Laura returns and
knows by the pink boat outside that Luke is there. She's all excited and that
baby is fascinated by the stage lights. Laura is deeply disturbed by Luke's
news and especially upset she can't be with Tiff for Tiff's pregnancy and to
see their children play together, etc. Luke tries to apologize but Laura
wants to know WHY? Luke tries to explain about Scully and Sonny and
immediately Laura connects Sonny to all their troubles lately: in PR, the
firebombing and Sean. When Luke says he can't stop when Laura asks if he
would stop if she asked him Laura wonders where his loyalties are...with Sonny
or with her and his family. Luke goes on about taking care of the problem...
with Sonny when Laura suggests Sonny take care of it himself. But no this
is about Luke and the club. Laura "gives in" but requests no guns. Then
Luke drops his other bombshell...Laura and Lesley Lu will have to stay put.
Laura is not a happy camper but before she can respond Mrs. Whitaker and
Lucky return. Laura is thrilled to see her son, but Lucky sees there is
about to be a big fight over Luke's instructions that Laura stay in Beechers
Corners.

Something That Needs To Be Taken Care Of
----------------------------------------
Scully comes into Luke's and asks to see Mike's boss. Mike assumes he's
asking for Luke, but Luke is not there. But no, Scully is looking for Sonny.
So Mike buzzes Sonny out from the back. They are about to start talking but
before they do Sonny waves Mike out of the room. Sonny asks Scully to lay
off Luke. Sonny will handle him since Sonny has Luke's trust, and he informs
Scully that "Luke can be brought around." [And what are you trying to sell
Sonny?] Scully agrees to let Sonny handle Luke and then asks about his
proposal to Sonny. Scully has checked around and has been unable to find
out the source of Sonny's financing. Sonny says his partner is not only
silent but also invisible. Sonny "does want to make it happen" with Scully
but on Sonny's timetable. That's ok with Scully, he's in no hurry. After
Scully is gone Mike asks Sonny about a wine order and you could cut the
tension in the room with a knife. Mike makes a note that anytime Scully's
been around there is tension and starts to offer an opinion about Sonny and
Scully but before he gets very far Sonny flies off the handle and leaves the
room. Brenda hears and Mike tries to say they're all on the same side. She's
not taking sides but she's loyal to Sonny, something that Mike notes is very
important to Sonny. However when Brenda lets slip that Scully won't be a
problem, that Sonny is taking care of that, Mike realizes that THERE IS
something that needs to be taken care of.
