When she gifts her mother with a huge bouquet of flowers Gloria wonders who died. As Ned lingers outside the door he hears Gloria hope it was Ned and if Lois hasn't already done the deed Gloria will wring his neck herself. Lois finally drags Ned in and he sheepishly says "Hi Ma." Gloria surmises that Ned has convinced Lois to take another chance with him and doesn't like it one bit. Ned pops up that he can understand Gloria's reaction to their bombshell but promises that he will work at making his marriage to Lois work and keep all the promises he made to Lois. Then he brings in his peace offering, the professional pasta maker. Gloria immediately takes it as an insult, that her homemade, handrolled pasta isn't good enough for him. Lois tries to get Gloria to cut Ned some slack as Ned tells Gloria he is determined to be the best he can be for Lois. Gloria relents and will make lunch for them. While Ned and Lois are getting food from the pantry Carmine arrives. Lois and Ned's laughter is quickly put to a stop. Carmine heads to the phone and calls Lois' brother but before he can get Mark to come and break Ned's legs Lois grabs the phone. Ned's limbs are saved for the moment. Carmine wants to teach the weasel a lesson but according to Lois, Ned is her weasel and she loves him. Lois defends Ned to her father and Ned offers to stand by his promises to Lois. Carmine still isn't about to give an inch until Lois tells him "You're not Mrs. Ned Ashton, I am!" Ned offers that he's on probation with the Cerullos and he's going to earn their approval by making Lois happy. While Ned goes to get the peace offering for Carmine Lois does her best "daddy's little girl" act and asks him to try for her sake. The golf clubs really seem to have hit the spot with Carmine. When Carmine points out Ned can't buy their approval, Ned admits he already tried that with Lois and got handed his head. Instead Ned will try things of far greater value: trust, loyalty, honesty and trustworthiness. Sometime later Lois and Ned have finished their lunch. Lois has indigestion but Ned had 3 helpings. He almost had Gloria smiling. Ned figures their appearance has gone about as well as could be expected, Ned still has all his limbs. But Ned also figures it could be 10,15, maybe even 20 years before he's accepted but for Lois that just means she could be in a wheelchair before they get married in the church. But Ned is willing to move heaven and earth to be accepted since it's her family and he doesn't want to come between Lois and her family. Complications and PC Reactions ------------------------------ When Sonny returns to his apartment Brenda wants to know why he flew out of there. He tells her about Luke shooting Sean outside the No Name and Brenda immediately wonders if Luke is dragging Sonny into trouble [uh,oh Brenda, are you in for a rude awakening!]. Brenda tries to call Lois to tell her so she doesn't read it in the paper but all Brenda gets is Lois' machine. Brenda tries to speculate what happened and Sonny informs her the case against Luke was dropped since Sean corroborated Luke's version of the events. Brenda wants Sonny to get answers from Luke but Sonny explains that Luke was just trying to fix things so Laura and LuLu could return to PC. At GH Tony tells Tiff, Luke and Felicia about the damage to Sean's artery. Sean made it through the surgery but there are complications. There still are bullet fragments in Sean's brain and because GH doesn't have the equipment and Tony's first priority was saving Sean, the fragments were left there. Bobbie comes in and comforts Tiff. It won't be long till Sean's awake enough to be moved to ICU. Filly is sent off since she can't see Sean and Filly promises to bring Tiff some food. When Bobbie asks Luke if Laura knows, it's no. Luke can't tell Laura until he knows Sean is going to be ok. There's an emotional moment between Luke and Tiff as he expresses his regret. He's going to tell Ruby and Lucky so they don't hear it on the news and then he's going to get a fix on what happened and why. Meanwhile at Kelly's Lucky comes in from walking Foster and is carrying the paper. He sees the headline that Luke is being held for the shooting of Sean. Just as Ruby reads that the paper doesn't say if Luke has been charged in comes Luke. Ruby wonders if he wanted to kill Sean but Luke says he hasn't wanted to do that for a very long time. When asked if he's seen Tiff, it's yes and Tiff is struggling with forgiveness. She's doing a better job with it than he would and once again we learn he won't tell Laura until Sean is out of the woods. When Ruby asks if this will delay Laura and Lulu's return, it's yes. Luke wonders if Laura will ever stop forgiving him. Laura has already forgiven him of so much. Just as he wonders what will happens if she ever does stop Lucky looks in and listens. Over at the Outback Damian and Katherine dish on Sean's misfortune. Katybell would love for him to die but Damian wants him to survive...Sean is a known quanity. Then in walks a frazzled Lucy. She joins Kevin at the bar. She's in a panic with all her Deception problems and then on top of that she's read about the shooting. When Lucy tries to claim her problems are a matter of life and death, Filly jumps in...and suggests Lucy stop obsessing. Katherine and Damian revel in Lucy dismay. Lucy bemoans her problems and doesn't want to return to the office. Kevin suggests they head upstairs to her apartment when they can reduce her stress induce paranoia. Meanwhile Katherine and Damian continue their plotting. It's time for the Quartermaines. Damian figures they're vulnerable now with Ned off doing his rock-n-roll thing and Edward at the helm with AJ. Damian is counting on AJ as the Achilles heel of since Edward has a soft spot for AJ. Lucy and Kevin have changed into robes and are in Lucy's bathroom where Sigmund is occupying the tub. Ever since Sigmund visited Lucy once when she was taking a bath, Sigmund has owned the tub. But Kevin takes charge since he is on a higher rung in order of things and removes the duck. He orders Lucy to "Pull the plug and pass the tub tile cleaner." Later Kevin is in the tub (with lots of bubbles) but Lucy keeps trying to placate the duck. Finally Lucy gets in and to get Sigmund distracted Kevin squeezes the little yellow ducky and throws it out for Sigmund to play with. Lucy and Kevin kiss...and.... Back at GH Bobbie once again comes in to tell Tiff that Sean is about to be moved to ICU. They "bond" over their mutual tragedies and Nurse Bobbie, feet of clay, tells Tiff how much she admires Tiff !?!??! for how strong Tiff is and how much stronger Tiff gets with each adversity Tiff faces. Tiff however is just scared and angry and Bobbie does the friend thing. They try to think positive thoughts, that Sean will come through this. When Sean is finally settled he awakens and tries to talk. He suggests Tiff not wait up for him that evening. All of a sudden he can tell something is wrong. Tiff calls Bobbie. Sean is hemorrhaging.
