From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Update Thursday Feb 9 Date: Thu, 9 Feb 1995 23:24:11 GMT Earlier this week we had Hormone Tuesday, and today was Talky Thursday. 1. Miguel and Lily stalk Juan. Juan is gorgeous, and Mr. Santiago, Armando, ain't bad either. Lecture on the nature of true parenthood. *yawn* 2. At the Outback, Filly has a letter from Frisco which she reads to Tony. Andy the Bio-engineering Dude must be delighted to know that Frisco is going for Dad of the Year and will condescend to come to PC for the baby's birth. Must be Sweeps month. Felicia is relieved that he is far away so he thinks of her as "overwhelmingly beautiful" instead of the blonde watermelon she really is. She wants the baby soon before her stretch marks become the national highway system. Tony wonders if Bobbie had had a child, would her life seem so joyless to her? Tiffany comes in and begins talk about her lead evening news story, Robin and Stone. 3. Mac storms into Luke's looking for Stone. Before he huffs upstairs, he tells Luke who Joe Scully is. Luke maintains calm, but is grateful for the information. Mac grumbles about Stone not graduating FROM high school, a usage I noted because yesterday he hit one of my real nitpicking buttons by talking about Stone not "graduating high school." In my experience, if one thinks graduate is a transitive verb, one doesn't suddenly learn proper grammar overnight. Besides, my guess would be Aussies use it right. {Maybe I should become the grammar chick. Naaah, BORing}. Mac interrupts a moment when Brenda and Sonny are dealing with their main common interest, if not their only one. He yells at Sonny, who tells him "You don't come in my door and start giving me orders, Scorpion." Stone and Mac have an unsatisfactory discussion in the hall. Stone returns to Sonny, who tells him (once again proving his amazing capacity for self-delusion) "If I had a daughter I'd be proud to have you come calling." We know if Sonny had a daughter, he'd make Sr. Rivera look like the Liberal of the Year. Brenda and Sonny head off to the bedroom to resume. Mac storms into the Outback, where Felicia demonstrates once more her incredible talent for saying the most tactful thing by telling him she advised Robin to start on the Pill. After destroying the glassware, Mac tells Filly she's not the best role model for responsible sex. 4. Bobbie comes to Luke's and is introduced to Joe. She's interested. Luke warns her: Joe is trouble. "Not the kind of trouble that curls your toes, the kind that sends you screaming out of a dark alley." Bobbie is even more interested. Mike watches Sonny and Joe together and he doesn't like Joe. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe | Apples and oranges are a different jyarnot@netcom.com | kettle of fish.
