From: njs@lhdsy2.lahabra.chevron.com (N.J.Spera) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, February 8, 1995 Date: 9 Feb 95 17:12:07 GMT GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, February 8, 1995 Today's Stories: A Big Deal Filly Returns Facing the Wrath of Mac A Big Deal ---------- Alan awakens in the predawn at La Mesa. When just lightly caresses Monica she awakens. He has an idea how to occupy the time but Monica decides to take a shower. After her shower and as she congratulates herself for getting through it without looking in the mirror Alan tells her she's beautiful to him. Monica doesn't believe him so Alan tells her to stop it, he's tired of the gallow's humor. Monica finally allows Alan to tell her how he feels and how it seems she's acting towards him. He misses her but she avoids him even after she asked him to join her. He wants to get close to her the only way he knows how, the way they have always been able to be close but Monica is not in the mood. She tries to shock him with her scarred body but Alan's not shocked. She thinks he's just acting like a doctor and when push comes to shove he doesn't want to go to be with a one-breasted woman. But that's not a big deal to Alan. The big but is...it is for Monica. The Alan tells her what the big deal is for him. It's lying awake at night without her and worrying about the possibility of facing life without Monica. They end up comforting each other. Later they are in bed together. They tried but... Alan apologizes for pushing Monica. It didn't go well. Monica really wasn't there. Filly Returns -------------- Filly returns and visits Tony just as he's sitting down to coffee in his (read Scott's old) apartment. She has left Maxie and Maria downstairs to recuperate from the trip. While in Texas Maxie has horse rides and even adopted sheep. A worried Tony looks around but Filly lets him know they left the sheep in Texas. They discuss Filly's stop in Gatlinburg, TN at a miniature golf course that Maxie wouldn't leave until it closed. Filly then asks Tony for all the news of PC. She learns Edward was found innocent, Kevin & Lucy are an item, Tom is returning and that Tony and Bobbie are keeping some semblance of peace in the house (but Tony what about those sessions in Kevin's office?). Then he comes to the last news, Mac and Robin. When she learns about the trouble at Luke's and that it involved Stone Filly has the sudden urge to mediate...and leaves for Mac's. Facing the Wrath of Mac ----------------------- Brenda is doing her situps...on the floor this time...when the door opens and Stone returns. He's amazed that Sonny already had the door fixed... so am I. Stone tells her that Mac had walked in on him and Stone and that if it weren't for Luke Stone would have been torn limb from limb. Brenda is dismayed that Stone took Robin to a motel but is relieved that they did use protection. When she learns Robin is facing Mac alone she is concerned but talks Stone out of having it out with Mac. Meanwhile at the Scorpio's Robin and Mac have a verbal battle over Robin staying overnight with Stone. Robin lets Mac know in no uncertain terms that they did the nasty. Mac blows his top and seeths when Robin tells Mac she loves Stone. In the midst of their argument Robin informs Mac she has accepted Yale's offer but that it was Stone who convinced her to accept. That doesn't really calm Mac down as he is concerned she's throwing her life away over a stupid adolescent infatuation. The verbal battle continues over Robin's feelings until there's a knock at the door and the doorbell rings. It's Filly and she calls time out. Filly suggests Mac take a walk while she and Robin talk. Before Mac leaves he tells Filly what happened the night before between Robin and Stone. Once Mac leaves Robin admits to Filly that everything Mac said was true. Filly is concerned that is ok and that Robin and Stone used protection and questions if Stone had been tested for HIV, considering his lifestyle before he met Robin. Oh,yes, he had been tested and it was negative. Filly is still concerned that Stone had been telling the truth, that test was a while ago. Filly also suggests Robin see her gynecologist since condoms aren't perfect protection against pregnancy....Filly is an example of that. Filly tries to convince Robin to try to get along with Mac, he's only trying to do what he thinks is best for Robin. The doorbell rings...it's Brenda to see Robin. Filly leaves and Robin and Brenda talk about Robin's experience and the picnic afterwards. Brenda advises Robin to stop worrying about Mac and concentrate on loving Stone. Meanwhile Mac's walk takes him to Kevin's office. Before he gets to what has him stumped he tells Kevin that Filly is back in town. Then on to the reason for the visit to Kevin...Robin. It doesn't take much from Mac for Kevin to figure out that Robin slept with Stone. Mac doesn't know what to do but he knows he wants to protect Robin from Stone, a guy who runs with bad company. Mac would like to kill Stone but knows that's not a viable option. Kevin points out the questions is not what to do but what can Mac do. Mac can't dictate to Robin how to live her life and he needs to embrace the reality that Robin is sleeping with a guy Mac can't stand. If Mac is going to oppose the relationship Mac can no more deny but has to accept that Robin has strong feelings for Stone.
