Date: Sun, 5 Feb 1995 22:48:53 CST From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 02/03/95 GH Update for 02/03/95 By John R. Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Ned and Lois snuggle post-coitally. Scene 2 Brenda tries to engage Sonny in conversation about the club, but he's removed. Luke arrives singing with enthusiasm over the impending opening. Scene 3 Alan meets with some other cancer-husbands for support, but at first he's shocked at their attitudes when they admit to wishing they could escape and play golf. The moderator tries to explain that golf helps the husbands cope just as the chemo helps the wife. [I'd think I'd choose golf over chemo myself.] Scene 4 People start arriving at Luke's to hear B.B. King. Lucky and Luke chat briefly about Laura and whether there's likely to be trouble. Luke reassures him that all will be fine. Scene 5 Stone makes plans to be with Robin in Sonny's apartment to watch the concert and ... [They don't call him the Trojan Horse for nothing.] Scene 6 Luke asks Sonny about possible trouble, but Sonny says things are cool. As they toast Luke's club, B.B. arrives. Scene 7 Lois balks at getting out of their love nest, but Ned wants to go see B.B. King. She begs him not to give her a reason to end their reconciliation. Scene 8 Luke banters with B.B. to some blues music in the background. Scene 9 The usual PC denizens gather and buzz around at Luke's; Sean and Tiffany, Lucy and Kevin, Bobbie and her bulwarks, etc. Sean gives Mac some more info on Joe Scully. Audrey announces that Tom will be coming home; Justus is not all that thrilled to hear the news. Ned and Lois flirt up a storm. Finally, Joe Scully, himself, shows up to a very friendly welcome from Sonny. Scene 10 The coping-consorts chant around a symbolic campfire and swap stories of rage, frustration, and fear. Alan tries to explain his feelings to the group and how he's terrified of losing Monica. Scene 11 Sonny introduces Luke to Joe Scully who says he's in town to discuss a little business with Sonny. Mike Corbin remarks to Luke about the father/son-like relationship between Sonny and Joe. Scene 12 Robin show up outside the club where Stone is parking cars. They head up to Sonny's apartment. Scene 13 Luke introduces B.B. King who proceeds to play some rocking R&B which he does despite not having smoke, lasers, and wind machines like you know who. Scene 14 More B.B. King with plenty of shots of PC citizens rocking to the music. Scene 15 Stone and Robin start to get down to some nasty teen-sex. Scene 16 Mac asks Luke if he can talk to him in private. Unfortunately, Luke's office is a mess so they head up to Sonny's presumably empty apartment. Scene 17 Ned and Lois play kissy-kissy again nauseating everyone except Brenda who demands confirmation of the reconciliation. Scene 18 As Robin and Stone reach for their respective protections, they hear noises at the door and make a desperate grab for their clothes. Luke is the first one in and quickly sizing up the situation, excuses himself, and leaves, locking the door behind him. Mac wants to know what's up, so Luke discreetly says it was occupied. When Mac presses him, Luke reveals it was Stone. Mac immediately demands to know if Robin was with him, but Luke says he didn't see and strongly suggests they leave. When Luke balks at unlocking the door Mac kicks it in to confront the semi-clad Robin and Stone.
