From: njs@lhdsy2.lahabra.chevron.com (N.J.Spera) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, January 25, 1995 Date: 26 Jan 95 17:08:12 GMT For once I'm grateful KABC thinks they have to give us news/rehash before they air GH...means we get to see the whole thing. So...for you folks who didn't get it at all or got "Miss Soapline"....here we go. GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, January 25, 1995 Today's Stories Think Tiffany! Now The Hardys Are Worried A Near Miss and Michael Corinthos, Jr. When Will The Other Shoe Drop? Think Tiffany! -------------- Ned and Lucy escape the demonstrators by going back into the hotel. Ned believes Lucy when she vows that Deception does no animal testing. Katherine sticks her nose in the conversation and gloats that Lucy's got a PR nightmare. Lucy is at a loss at what to do until Ned tells her to "Think Tiffany." Lucy first wants to demand equal time but Ned cautions her and Lucy comes up with a tour of Deception's research lab so she can show she doesn't use animals. Lucy even suggests she could wear a bunny suit. Ned's eyes light up-with a bunny tail and a push-up bra. Not so funny to Lucy. Ned suggests a pet for the photo op but Lucy doesn't have any except worms. She doesn't even have the duck anymore...yes, Ned remembers the duck. Ned ends up offering Annabelle. Ned is confident Lucy can pull this off and turn a PR nightmare that is going to send Edward through the roof into positive press. Lucy thanks him...yes she can do this, if only Katherine hadn't seen her humiliation. Katherine has returned to her apartment where she is gloating over Lucy's humiliation and her libido is flying high. That suits Damian just fine. However, Katherine is disappointed that Sonny won't help Damian with Damian's plan to create havoc with Deception's shipping. Damian does need someone to implement his plan...so Damian can't be held accountable. In the meantime, Katherine will keep Lucy distracted with the bunny lovers. Now the Hardys Are Worried -------------------------- Audrey notices Bobbie is obviously distracted while Audrey is trying to tell Bobbie about a schedule change. Bobbie notices Amy eavesdropping and when Amy says everyone is concerned about Bobbie and Tony Bobbie lets them know it's as bad as ever. Bobbie claims Kevin isn't helping...they need a miracle worker which Kevin isn't. Audrey is distressed that Bobbie makes it sound hopeless. Steve arrives at the nurses station with Audrey's big bag. She'd put it on the car to look for her keys and drove off, causing it to fall to the driveway. She mentions her sister saying something about always loosing things [why didn't she say her sister's name...don't they know it's Lucille!]. Amy launches into a story about losing a box of bandages until Audrey sends her off. Audrey's concerned about a personnel matter and Steve thinks it's Amy...but Amy is a good nurse. No Audrey's concern is Bobbie. She's afraid Bobbie's state of mind might affect Bobbie's work. Steve hunts up Tony and wonders if maybe Tony and Bobbie might need some time off while they're going through this difficult time. But for Tony that's the last thing he wants. Work is the only thing that makes Tony feel like a whole human being. Tony does admit he still has a problem with Damian but he has realized their problems go deeper than Damian and existed before Damian. Lucy arrives at GH looking for Kevin but Kevin has had an emergency with a patient at a clinic. She learns this after having to try to convince Amy not to believe everything she hears...like Deception testing on animals. Lucy isn't happy. When Bobbie hears her complaining that Kevin isn't there when Lucy needs him Bobbie lays into Lucy about not even getting a hangnail from all her scheming while Bobbie's whole life is upside down from one little mistake. [only one Bobbie!!!] Lucy realizes Bobbie is jealous of Lucy's special relationship with Kevin and tells Bobbie she needs a shrink. Lucy repeatedly tries to tell Bobbie Lucy tried to warn Bobbie about Damian but that only further enflames Bobbie until Tony arrives on the floor and has to break them up. He tells Bobbie to get a grip. When Bobbie tries to once again blame Lucy Tony tells Bobbie to take a good look a herself. A concerned Amy goes to check on Bobbie while Lucy and Tony apologize. Tony apologizes for Bobbie and Lucy apologizes as well, not having known Bobbie was so close to the edge. Tony lets Lucy know she's not the cause of Bobbie's problem and Lucy's part in the bet has nothing to do with what Bobbie is going through now. A Near Miss and Michael Corinthos, Jr. -------------------------------------- At Carmine's sporting good store Mac manages to evade Lois, even when she offers to help her dad out with the one customer Carmine has, Mac. Before Lois can get to him another customer comes in and Lois tends to her. Mac takes the opportunity to buy what he's trying on and wears it out the door just as Carmine tries to introduce Lois to Mac since Mac and Carmine had been talking about Lois and Sonny. Carmine finds out Lois came to talk to Gloria about that weasel Lois married. He wants Lois to think with her brain not her heart since Ned is only doing what she wants...be Eddie and once Ned has her back he'll revert to his old lying ways. Carmine then contrasts Ned with Sonny who is good to the bone but took a couple of wrong turns but now has found his way home. [Little do you know Carmine!] Carmine claims a man always returns to his roots. Meanwhile Mac is trying to find out more about Sonny. This time in what looks like a candy store. Mac finds out this guy considered Sonny a punk and managed to find favor with a local gang leader, who has moved on up, named Joe Scully. Turns out Sonny was sent upstate by Scully to run a nightclub. When Mac is asked what he said his name is...he didn't and says his name is "Johnny Capricorn." [Huh, Scorpio/Capricorn] Mac returns to Port Charles and locates Ned at the hotel. [Since when does a hotel exec do paperwork in the lobby.] He's got hot information about Sonny. Mac spills about Sonny being mentored by Scully and additionally has found out that the Paradise Lounge was once owned by Joseph A. Scully and 5 years ago the title was deeded over to one, Michael A. Corinthos, Jr. Ned wants more but is pleased until he finds out Mac almost ran into Lois. Ned wants Sonny out of Lois and Ned's life. Meanwhile Lois has returned from Bensonhurst. Brenda "has been busy" and Lois is surprised Brenda hasn't moved back with Sonny yet. Lois admits she didn't really get what she wanted from her parents--validation. Brenda speculates that's because that's what to expect from parents...or so she's heard. When Will The Other Shoe Drop? ------------------------------ Harry informs Sonny that Cusak can't be found and that folks are wondering if Sonny turned Cusak into the invisible man. Sonny claims he knows nothing. Just as Sonny and Harry are contemplating a meeting with a couple of Cusak's men the door opens and it's Brenda. She's ready to move back but Sonny doesn't think that's a great idea. Harry heads off to set up the meeting. Brenda wants Sonny to remember what's the most important..."us." Cusak's men talk with Sonny and tell him then didn't approve of the firebombing. They want to work with Sonny but it takes some convincing from Sonny before they are willing to "enforce without muscle." They agree to follow Sonny's rules and are on the team. Sonny warns them if the rules are broken all bets are off. When they leave Sonny has one great concern. He's waiting for the other shoe to drop and wonders what the people who took Cusak want. After Harry leaves Sonny is alone with this cigar and a big smile on his face. Till Next Time (c) Nancy Spera, 1995 - reprint permission - even to other bbs's - available from "njs@chevron.com".
