Mike Rents a Room at Kelly's; Ruby Considers Buying A WonderBra!
=====================================================================
At Kelly's cafe, Bobbie's flapping her lips to Ruby, rehashing her
"perfect past life of a year ago" and wondering what went wrong. Ruby
points out that her life isn't totally in the dumpster; she could
still reconcile with that hunk o'burnin' love, Doc Tony. Bobbie
replies that "she" had become lost [ah, the old "search for the inner
child", huh writers?] and wonders where "she" is. Lucky whizzes in
and asks Bobbie about some biology stuff. Then Luke wanders in with
Mike, who orders breakfast and flirts with Ruby. Mike tells Ruby she
reminds him of Kim Novak; they go upstairs to look at a vacant room.
Luke tells Bobbie and Lucky about Foster's impending fatherhood;
they're thrilled. Ruby and Corbin rejoin the group; she bursts his
balloon by telling him she doesn't buy his line of b.s. [ah, but
those eyes were smiling!]. She tells Corbin she'll rent him the
room because Luke says it's okay. Mig and LeLee wander in and Mike
drools over her and recites a dirty limerick in perfect Castillian
accent. Upstairs, Mig pressures LeLee for a little pre-nuptial
"taste"...she slams his tongue in the door! Downstairs, Bobbie's
round heels beat a retreat and Luke and Lucky discuss the absent Laura.
Luke reassures Lucky that he'll dump Sonny in a New York minute if
he's into dirty stuff. Mike joins them and tries to get him to talk
about his "partner"; Luke admits he's in business with Sonny and Mike
nosily asks more questions, which Luke ignores. Luke tells Lucky that
he wonders why Mike is so interested in Sonny.

Sonny: the Teensy Terror of Port Chuckles
=====================================================================
In Sonny's apartment over Luke's club, Sonny and Harry hash over
Cusack's fate. Harry still claims that some guys snatched Cusack from
the No-Name Bar and whisked him away. Then Harry says he's got the
two goons who torched Luke's club; Sonny demands that Harry bring
them upstairs and he'll deal with them. Harry has some reservations
about doing "business" in the apartment, but Sonny insists. He talks
to the guys alone and explains how he stepped into the vacancy
created by Frank Smith's death. The guys claim they were only follow-
ing Cusack's orders. Sonny stamps his tiny hoofs and says they
shouldn't have been following Cusack anyway. And now they've made him
angry. He's not going to break their legs right away, though, because
he's become a "legitimate" business man. So he maneuvers the goons
into begging to join his team; he hires them. They leave and Harry
comes into the room and asks if Sonny has lost his mind...hiring the
competition?? Sonny explains that now the two goons owe Sonny their
life, so they'll behave. Harry is skeptical.

Quartermaine Gatecrashers Crash Girls Night Out at the Gatehouse
=====================================================================
Lois and Brenda are enjoying a slumber party in the gatehouse; Lois
wonders when Brenda will be getting a life again. They discuss the
bizarre and dangerous situation surrounding Sonny. There's a knock
at the door and the gals run to answer it, thinking it's Miguel. Oh
No! It's A.J. the Walking Hormone! He wants to crash their girl's
party and tries to wheedle his way inside. He offers to tell them
hot gossip and teases them by asking, "guess who's pregnant?" The
fillies bite and he strings the story out before he reveals it's
Annabelle! So the gals let A.J. join in and all engage in a friendly
"battle-of-the-sexes" argument. [could this more human, sensitive
A.J. be a fore-shadowing of a love interest for Brenda after Sonny
bites the big one?] A.J. uses his new closeness with the gals to
take jabs at Ned (and his bigamy with KatyBell) and Sonny (and his
mob connections). The escalating arguments are interrupted by
another knock at the door. It's the Nedling who demands, "What the
hell is A.J. doing here?" Ned tries to toss his cousin out and they
nearly come to blows. They're interrupted by ANOTHER knock at the door.
Oh, blecchhh! It's Mig and LeLee. A.J. scuttles out but almost
incites Ned to battle before he weasels out the door. Outside,
Brenda tells A.J. not to screw up the budding reconciliation between
Ned and Lois. A.J. tells her to get bent and stalks off into the
darkness. Inside, the battling Ashtons start up again; Miguel
separates them.  The Hirsute Horror "lectures" them about fighting;
he advises them to love each other instead of arguing all the time.
LeLee sticks her pick in and agrees with the Creeping Terror. They
exit, in search of an all-night hairdressing salon. Alone with Lois,
Ned apologizes to her for being jealous of A.J. buzzing around. She
accepts his apology, but ducks a hug from him. She does accompany
him outside and agrees to try to get along better. They share a big,
close hug. Inside the gatehouse, she dissolves behind the door and
wails to Brenda that she's confused. "I want my Mom!" she tells her,
near tears.
