                            GH Update for 01/20/95

Scene 1
A frenetic Lois and Brenda work on Idle Rich matters when Mac stops by the
gatehouse to ask a few questions about Sonny.
Scene 2
Luke and Sonny discuss fix up plans for the club.
Scene 3
At the Q mansion, AJ whines to Edward that the other CSD board members just
don't seem to get with the business program. As he starts to criticize Jason,
he comes in, and AJ accuses Jason of undercutting him and of being on the board
for purely personal reasons (read Keesha).  Edward manages to stir up the
debate believing it to be a healthy competition, but as things heat up, Alan
storms in and angrily criticizes Edward for constantly inciting intra-family
arguments.
Scene 4
Mac tries to pry info about Sonny from Lois and Brenda, but they both toe the
Sonny line that he's straight now, and all the bad stuff is in the past.
Meanwhile, Ned can be seen lurking outside the gatehouse looking in.
Scene 5
Back at Luke's, Mike the con man drops by "to help clean up."  He spins an
obviously wild yarn about tending bar in Alaska which amuses Luke and Stone
then tries again to get Luke to hire him.  Understandably, Luke declines. On
seeing a water damaged wall, Mike takes off saying he's got just the thing to
help.
Scene 6
Monica and her wellness-wannabe circle attempt a visualization technique where
they are encouraged to imagine their immune system as a bunch of Pac-men eating
the cancer cells. Unfortunately, all Monica can visualize is the Pac-men biting
Alan's bare rear as he does his morning naked toe touching regime and bursts
out laughing.  Afterwards, one of the group asks Monica to come home with her
for dinner.
Scene 7
Lois and Brenda continue to do their joint Sonny cheerleading routine.  Brenda
mentions that Damian came by to see Sonny to get info on Frank Smith's money,
but ostensibly Sonny said get lost.  Meanwhile, one of Sonny's musclemen puts
the grab on the lurking Ned.
Scene 8
Sonny arrives and questions the now outraged Ned about why he's there.
Eventually, as things are close to getting physical, Mac, Brenda, and Lois come
out and drag the near combatants inside.
Scene 9
Some scene of Monica visiting the woman and her daughter which just oozed with
pathos. [I'm sorry, but I find this whole story line depressing and without
redeeming gratuitous sex or violence].
Scene 10
Alan chews out Edward for his manipulating conflict between family members in
the name of healthy competition and accuses him of destroying any chance of a
relationship with Tracy [Alan's sister].  Edward counters that just because
Alan was inept at the family business, he shouldn't try to prevent AJ from
getting his chance.  As they bicker loudly, Lila enters and interrupts to
announce that Annabelle is preggers, and Foster is the father.
Scene 11
Ned and Mac press Sonny on why bodyguards are necessary. Sonny claims he's just
being extra cautious until he's sure everything is ok.
Scene 12
Brenda and Sonny make senseless small talk outside the gatehouse.
Scene 13
Back at Luke's, Mike returns with a rug for hanging over the damaged wall, and
once again he pressures Luke for a job.
Scene 14
Edward rants about Annabelle's impending motherhood and threatens to drown the
puppies in the jacuzzi if they look like Foster. Lila makes a mental note to
have Reginald drain the jacuzzi.
Scene 15
Alan heads over to see Bobbie. She immediately begins to relate all the trials
and tribulations of her life, therapy sessions, and competition now that the
wonder bra is available in the U.S.  Alan listens supportively.
Scene 16
Another Monica cancer chronicles chapter.
Scene 17
Luke finally agrees to hire Mike with a few conditions on tips and stealing.
Edward Q calls Luke to bitch him out [pun intended of course] about Annabelle.
Luke laughingly tells him not to worry they'll waive the stud fee and hangs up.
Scene 18
Ned and Mac agree that more info on Sonny connections and background are
definitely needed to prove to L&B they need to drop him. Mac says he's off to
Bensenhurst to look into Sonny's past.
