Subject: GH: Wed. 12/28 Update

Cukie here... filling in for Tangy.  (who's probably back by now... I'm
a little late getting this out.  But I've actually had a life these past
couple of weeks!!!  It was bound to happen sooner or later.  ;-)
Anyway... here goes the update for Wednesday December 28th:

Quartermaine Mansion:
Brenda asks Jason and AJ to help her with her suitcases.  She tells them
that she's going to be moving in with Sonny.  Brenda is worried about telling
Lila... AJ tells her she should be more worried about handling him and Jason.

L & B:
Lois tells Miguel about Ned's 6-week committment to L & B.  Miguel asks
Lois for permission to perform a benefit concert.  Lois reminds him that
L & B is a business, not a charity... and asks who he wants to perform for.

Sonny and Brenda's apartment:
Harry shows up and asks if Sonny made his move in the organization yet.
Sonny advises Harry to stay in the dark, but Harry persists.  Sonny tells
him that he got the funding from Damian and he is ready to take over the
business.  Harry is surprised that Damian wants to be involved at all.
Sonny fills him in... but wants to keep this new info just between Harry,
Damian, and himself.  Harry asks about Luke... but Sonny doesn't want him
in on this.  Harry asks about Cusack.  Sonny says Cusack took an early
retirement... he can't do business his way with Cusack around.  Luke
arrives... and asks what's going on.

Quartermaine Mansion:
Brenda is defending Sonny to Jason and AJ.  She insists that Sonny is
now legitimate.  She tells them that she loves Sonny... they should quit
ganging up on her.  They are just jealous because they don't have love
lives.  She tells them to back off... this is supposed to be the happiest
day of her life.  Lila wheels into the room and asks Brenda what's going on.

L & B:
Miguel explains that he wants to do a concert to raise funds for Justus
Ward's campaign.  Lois wonders why Justus doesn't dip into his new-found
family's pockets for money... but gives the go ahead to Miguel.  Mig and
Lois head off to tell Justus the good news.

Ward House:
Mary Mae and Laura are folding children's clothes.  Laura asks if they
can talk about Edward Q.  Mary Mae asks if Laura was surprised to hear
that he was Bradley's father.  Laura asks if Mary Mae was in love with
him... she says that if it was love, it wasn't that deep abiding love that
you have when you are building a family with someone... but she's not
sorry - how could she be when Bradley came out of those feelings?  Laura
asks how Justus if handling all of this... Mary Mae says that he's having
his problems with it.

Justus' House:
Lois and Miguel tells Justus about the benefit concert.  Justus loves the
idea.  Miguel says that it will be at the Outback.  Lois tells Justus that
the "black" sheep of the Q family have to stick together.  Lois and Miguel
sit down to stuff some envelopes.  [Maybe Miguel will cut his tongue and
bleed to death!!  That wasn't nice, was it?    Tough!]

Sonny and Brenda's Apt:
Harry says his goodbyes.  Luke tells Sonny that he's meeting the contractor
for the new blues club.  The liquor license has been granted... all they
have to do is sit back and rake in the bucks.  Sonny tells Luke that it's
smooth sailing from now on... he's as clean as a whistle.

Justus' House:
Justus and Lois joke around with each other.  Justus asks if she really
feels like an outcast with the Q.  She says yes.  Justus then assumes that
Lois doesn't really like the Qs.  Lois tells him that you have to take them
one by one.  Lila is classy and gracious.  AJ is a hoot, if you ignore his
come-ons.  Jason is a truly noble soul.  Alan is complicated, but a great
doctor and Monica is great, a very strong woman.  Ned is kind-of mixed up.
Lois says that you just have to watch your back with them.

Quartermaine Mansion:
Brenda sarcastically thanks Jason and AJ for their support... they leave.
Brenda tells Lila that she's moving in with Sonny.  She tries to explain
how much she loves Sonny.  She tells Lila that moving in together was her
idea... Sonny has some reservations.  Lila tells Brenda not to expect that
she can change Sonny.  Brenda asks Lila for her blessing... Lila wishes her
well and says that she'll miss her.  Brenda says she won't be far away.

Sonny and Brenda's Apt:
Luke and Sonny are still discussing the nightclub when Brenda arrives
with her belongings in tow.  Luke is a little surprised that Brenda is
moving in but wishes them a "happy co-habitation."  Luke leaves.  Brenda
asks Sonny to haul up all of her stuff.  Once out in the hallway, Sonny
scratches his chin and says "here we go!"

Luke's Club:
Luke is walking around his new club daydreaming about the future.  He
hears a blues-y sax... he is brought back to reality by the contractor
entering.

Ward House:
Mary Mae is singing.  Laura tells Mary Mae that she has to go pick
up Leslie Lu and go visit Luke at his club.  Laura hits on the idea
that Mary Mae should sing at Luke's club.  Mary Mae scoffs at the
idea.  She invites Laura and the family to a Kwanza feast on Friday.
Laura agrees to come.  They gush about all of the good things that they
have to look forward to.  Laura heads off.

Sonny and Brenda's Apt:
Brenda tells Sonny that she has a little clothes addiction.  Sonny is
worried that there won't be enough room for all of her clothes.  Brenda
goes to the closet and shoves all of Sonny's suits together.  This makes
the hair on the back of Sonny's head stand up on end.  Sonny agrees to
pack his summer clothes away so that they'll be more room for Imelda's,
oops, I mean Brenda's, winter clothing.  Brenda asks if Sonny is sorry
that they've moved in together.

L & B:
AJ asks Lois if she knows that Brenda is moving in with Sonny.  Lois
tells AJ that Brenda will be perfectly safe with Sonny.  AJ tells Lois
that he's going to be Edward's right-hand man during Ned's little
hiatus from the company.  Lois encourages him to do his best... maybe
then Ned can be "Eddie Maine" full-time.

Ward House:
Mary Mae sings to herself in front of the mirror and proclaims that
she's still got "it."

Luke's Club:
Luke is rambling on about where the stages are going to be, etc.  Laura
suggests to Luke that he get Mary Mae to sing in the club.  Luke thinks
it's a wonderful idea.  Laura is glad to see him so excited over this new
venture... they agree that their life is pretty good now.

Sonny and Brenda's Apt:
Sonny reassures Brenda that they haven't made a big mistake... they
just need time to adjust.  Brenda tells Sonny that women tend to have
a lot of accoutrements.  Sonny insists that he just wasn't prepared to
see all of this stuff that Brenda brought... but he is glad that she is
there.  He embraces her and leads her over to the bed... on top of his suits.

    A few random comments...

       that little Lesley Lu is a cutie!!  What a sweet little face!!

       it's fun to do an update for a show that I actually LIKE!

       why, oh why couldn't I have gotten a hairball-less episode??
       I'm holding you responsible, Tangy!!  ;-)
