General Hospital Update for Monday, December 26, 1994

Quartermaines
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Monica is sits on the couch reading a brochure from the Wellness
Clinic, AJ wanders in with an evil grin on his face.  Monica asks him what's
up.  AJ tells her that Katherine has been badgering Sean to step up the
investigation regarding her attempted murder.  He suggests to Monica that
it'd look *real bad* for Katherine if the pills used to drug her were found
in Katherine's possesion; Monica agrees that it'd be a tidy solution.
Monica tells AJ that she should be conducting herself morally above
reproach, but since she's going to hell anyway, she gives him the OK to
plant the drugs in Katherine's apartment and says she'll throw a hint Sean's
way.

Sean's office
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sean has Luke in and wants Luke to tell him what *really* went down in
Puerto Rico.  Sean wants to know how Luke new that Frank would be in that
particular cemetary at 9:00 AM that morning.  Luke tells Sean that he was
there sight seeing, and wouldn't you know it, Frank Smith shows up.  Sean
then tells Luke he knows that Sonny informed him of Frank's wereabouts.
Sean wants to know more about why Sonny was in Puerto Rico and his
connection to Rivera.  Luke feigns stupidity.  Sean warns Luke that if Sonny
has any intention of "taking over" that he's buying into a heap of trouble,
and that would make Luke look like Sonny's trigger man.

Later, Monica visits Sean to discuss the Katherine situation.  She tells
Sean about a remark that Lila made insinuating that Katherine intentionally
poisoned herself and staged her fall down the stairs, considering the drugs
didn't really have that much of an effect on her -- it was the unforseen
bump on the head that caused her coma.  She lists off all the reasons
Katherine had to hate the Quartermaines.  Sean agrees he might buy her story
if there was evidence to support it, so Monica tells him that the evidence
would probably be in Katherine's apartment.  After Monica leaves, Sean tells
Garcia to get a search warrant for Katherine's place.

Ned's office
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ned and Edward sign a deal with two real estate guys to buy a new site for
the toxic waste incinerator.  Ned then tells Edward he's taking a
three-month leave of absence from ELQ.  He tells Edward he needs some time
off to save his marriage.  Edward gives him six weeks; Ned agrees as long as
Edward doesn't muck around with the incinerator deal while he's away.

Later, back at the Q mansion, Edward tells AJ that he wants him to be his
right-hand man while Ned's on leave.

L&B studio
~~~~~~~~~~
Ned tells Lois that he's taking a six-week leave of absence from ELQ to
fulfill his commitments to her and L&B.  He pleads with her to give him that
time to fix things in their marriage.

Sonny's apartment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brenda arrives wearing her new fur jacket.  They remind us politically
correct viewers that it's a *fake* fur.  She takes off the coat, revealing
her birthday suit, and they proceed to screw on the floor.

Later, Brenda tells Sonny how rediculous it is that she's spending 4-5
nights a week at his place, always running back and forth to the
Quartermaines with her toothbrush and deodorant.  She suggests she move in
with him; Sonny says he doesn't want to mess with the good thing they have
right now.  Brenda tells him she wants more because she feels like their
relationship is standing still.  Sonny hesitates, yammering on about growing
up as an only child and needing his privacy.  Brenda says she thought they
were ready but she guesses she was wrong.  She continues to pout through the
rest of the episode.

Lois barges in with the good news that Neddie is taking six weeks off to do
nothing but tour and promote the CD.  Sonny & Brenda assure Lois that Ned is
still crazy about her and won't let her down.  They agree it's a good
business decision for L&B.  Before leaving, Lois comments on what a cute
domestic couple Sonny & Brenda make.  Later, Lois barges into Ned's office,
tells him they have a deal, then runs out.

Katherine's apartment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian is lying in bed as Katherine gets dressed and they make smalltalk
about destroying the Quartermaines.  They discuss Sonny's involvement in
their new Nice Mob and a possible future conflict between Cusack and Sonny.

Later after Damian has left, Sean arrives with Garcia, two flunkies, and a
search warrant.  Katherine is livid and immediately calls her lawyer.
Garcia finds the jewelry box with the drugs that AJ planted.  [Lila and
Monica's drugs look amazingly just like Smar-Tees candy.]  Sean tells
Katherine, who's quite infuriated by now, that he's taking her down to
police headquarters.
