General Hospital Update
Dec 20,'94 Tues

Actually a pretty dull show, except for a breakout performance by Justus.

Tony gives a clean bill of health to Luke. Luke asks Bobi if it means
anything that she came with Tony. She informs him no. Tony and Bobi leave.
Luke asks what was up with Sonny. He is troubled that Laura gave Sonny a hard
time. Luke cannot rest till he finds out what the situation is now, and Sonny
is the only one who can assure Luke.

Sonny (and Brenda) have Lois over for a celebratory business dinner. Lois is
convinced to handle the Idle Rich in Rochester for the sake of L&B. Mig and
Leelee arrive and i cut out. Sonny gets the call from Laura and off he goes.

The Q's talk over the visit and situation of the Wards. AJ can't figure why
Justus would be so displeased about being a cousin. The rest of the clan are
just relieved that the first confrontation is over. Everyone goes up to their
rooms except EdQ and Lila. Lila makes EdQ talk about MaeMay. The thing that
got to him was MaeMay's voice and song. Lila tells EdQ that she is po'ed that
EdQ found out about a son and his murder in a few hours and never told her.
Lila goes upstairs and EdQ stays behind pondering. Ned comes in and talks
with EdQ. They chat for a couple of seconds and Ned leaves.

Justus and MaeMay are back home and they are rehashing their feelings. Keisha
comes to the room and [in a bravo acting scene] Justus fill her in on the
confrontation in a wry manner. He compares it to 'Guess Who's Coming for
Dinner' and gives broad charactature of the various Q's. He calls Ned unctuous,
and that AJ never saw a black person so up close before, where Keisha says
                        L I N E O F T H E D A Y
"Not for lack of trying." Basically, Justus is not
pleased about having for a grandfather someone he despises and that the fact
that he is white has nothing to do with it. The race issue is somewhat belied
by a couple of things Justus does. 1: He does a little routine about poor,
old Reggie wearing himself out removing all the black jockeys from the lawn
2: He makes a point of saying the Q's got through the session with 'flying
colors'. Justus is not even happy about Ned's moving the project to a
different part of town. When MaeMay asks how can he be so cynical to not take
Ned's offer as the business deal it is, Justus replies 'Oh, I never said I
couldn't accept it'! He turns serious and tells Keisha the Q's struck as
regular Joe's. The three josh around for a couple of minutes. Then Keisha
says now that the Lt. in the Jazz Singer & The Lt. has a face, she wants to
know more about the whole story of MaeMay and EdQ. MaeMay gives a short
description of EdQ and how 'innocent' he was. Keisha now understands why
MaeMay was unhappy about her and Jason. MaeMay says yep, the EdQ of now could
never touch her soul like the EdQ of yore. Just then Jason comes in. He tells
Bradly they share lots in common, Jason is a bastard too. Anyway, Jason and
Keisha go out for a walk, much to MaeMay's disgust.

Lucy goes to Kevin's. She tells him she saved Luke's life and some of the
details as well as her motives. She also feels much more nurturing. When she
finishes she asks where her big, white duck is. What duck? The duck from
Thanksgiving. That duck!? Kevin befuddly tells her it was dinner one night.
Lucy flips. How could he do that to her duck. She tells him he better be
joking and that the duck was taken to the pond to spend the rest of its life
paddling away. Kevin says fine, the duck was taken to the pond. He then gives
her the tape, but she decides she can't bear to watch it now. Kevin will hold
on to it. They kiss goodnight. Kevin goes to sleep and has his nightmare of
the Grace accident. He wakes up and mutters 'this has got to stop'.

Sonny gets to the Spencers. Before Laura gets to the room he tells Luke that
the Big Idiot was only told that Sonny told Luke that Frank was in PR. Luke
says no problem. Sonny then tells him that Sonny is making a bid for Frank's
job. Luke says fine, just make sure the Spencers are not involved. Sonny
helps bring Luke upstairs. When he leaves Laura asks if Sonny made a play for
the mob job. Sonny tells her no without actually lying.
