Daily Updates
Date: Tue, 13 Dec 1994 15:01:17 CST From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Mon 12/12/94 By: kathy%gundog@lbl.gov (Kathy Ellington) General Hospital Update for Monday, December 12 A brief Monday update in semi-modified Johnny style: Back at the PC Hotel in Damian's room, Katy and Damian lounge around and discuss dead Frank and their future together. Damian thinks he wants to take Dad's old job as boss of the mob. Alone, he takes Frank's ashes to what looked like the Port Charles dock area. He dumps the ashes off the dock (and in a particularly Fellini-esque moment, Frank's ashes merge with the murky remains of Ruby's Tuna-Noodle Surprise and silently sink to oblivion in the inky water) and talks to Frank's ghost. Later on Damian learns from Cusak that Sonny has made a move to take over the organization. When Damian tries to dismiss him, Cusak dangles Frank's Last Will & Testament in his face. The Will leaves Damian oodles and oodles of "clean" money and tons and tons of "dirty" money, both safely stashed away in the Virgin Islands. Damian can have the dirty money if he wants to get into the mob's dirty work. He tells Cusak that he wants to run the show; Cusak ridicules the idea of a "straight" businessman like Damian going it alone. He offers to be D's partner and it's Damian's turn to guffaw. He turns Cusak down like a cheap bedspread. Cusak tells him he's leaving town, heading for warmer climates, and he warns Damian to watch his back. Later in the show, Damian has a surprise visit from Sonny who wants to discuss Frank's business. Kevin's in his lighthouse, having another "underwater" nightmare about Grace. Oh, where is his touchstone, Miss Lucy? The ringing phone jolts him out of his sleep and it's Lucy calling from Puerto Rico. They admit that they miss each other. Then she starts to cry and blurts out that it's Serena's first birthday, and she's feeling sad and lonely. He tells her that Mac and Filly left a package with him before they went to NYC; it's from Scott. Lucy demands that he open the package. It's a videotape and letter. Kevin plays the tape and describes little Serena to Lucy, who has long since dissolved into tears. Lucy makes him read the letter from Scott and Kevin gets a little choked up [the great thing about this scene, besides Lucy's wonderful acting, was that we get to see Kevin's tits!]. Emotionally wrung out, Lucy rings off and back in Port Chuck, Kevin looks contemplatively into space. Later on, he tells Filly about the phone call. She tries to derail Kevin's locomotive of love for Lucy and tells him about Miss Lucy's lurid past. Filly's thrashing of her doesn't put Kevin off, rather it makes him feel more tender toward Lucy. Filly snidely wishes him "luck" with Lucy. At Kelly's, Bobbie tells Ruby how worried she is about Luke. Bobbie admits that she believes Luke is dead. Ruby reacts strongly and tells Bobbie to stop talking like that. Tony comes up and offers Bobbie a shoulder to cry on. Tony gently talks to her about Luke; Bobbie feels that Luke is dead as part of some Divine retribution plan against her (losing B.J., losing Tony, and now losing Luke). Tony talks her around it and tells her she's got to have faith. They agree to both believe that Luke is still alive. Mac and Filly arrive at the Q mansion, dragging Lola Lamont (Myrna something) with them. Edward is pleased to see her. Her testimony will clear him and she agrees to appear in court.
