From: yarnot@babbage.ecs.csus.edu (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Update Thursday Dec. 8 Date: 9 Dec 1994 00:01:28 GMT Felicia is eating some repulsive yogurt-granola-and-carrot breakfast, instead of sensible pickles-and-ice-cream. She and Mac spend the day on the phone tracking down Lola Lamont, who turns out to be Myrna Slaughter in New York City. Myrna agrees to talk to them (that afternoon) once she hears that both Jack and Frank Smith are dead. Boring storyline, but the Line of the Day comes from it. When Mac makes fun of the name Lola Lamont, Felicia says you can't judge someone by their name. "What does 'Felicia Jones' say to you?" Mac replies "Everything that comes into her head, nonstop!" Lucy frantically starts picking up her first aid supplies (well, that's most likely what they are, there's a small pair of scissors Katybell points out) while Damian and K. watch, the former suspicious, the latter supercilious. Katybell has absolutely NO subtlety and probably is kicking the stuff away when Lucy isn't looking. Damian asks what Lucy's doing there, and she says she is in PR for the concert. And to work on a tan. Damian says "I'm not here for pleasure." and Lucy digs at Katherine: "I'd take that as an insult." Then she remembers about D's dad and attempts to sound sorry, while Damian gets stormier looking by the moment and mentions "your friend Luke." Lucy tells about the shootout despite Miss Subtlety's attempt to get rid of her. Later, K and D find out Lucy had told the truth, but Damian is still suspicious. KatyBell can't believe he would even talk to Lucy. Running a bulldozer over her is more her style. And perhaps they should get to Luke's family. (K. is *definitely* the E-word. Maybe SHE should take over the business.) Damian hadn't thought of this approach. Meanwhile, Lucy, back in her room, is fending off offers of cleaning it, making the bed, clean supplies, and macadamia nuts. Can she be hiding something? Sonny tells Cusack to get out of town. "When you're out of marbles you're out of the game." Sonny is the new head of the organization. Cusack blusters that he can call people, and Sonny calls his bluff and hands him the phone. Later Brenda comes by and needs a hug, it's been a zoo at the Qs with the trial resuming and Lila asking about Puerto Rico and what's really going on anyway? Sonny tells her nothing, that she knows everything. Later still, Harry comes by and gets the scoop, and finds out that Sonny plans on taking over, but he'll do it "almost respectably." Harry warns (*ominous foreshadowing music*) that it isn't possible. "There will come a time when you will look in the mirror and you will see Frank looking back at you." Damian looks into space and sees Frank looking back at him. "You're going to be just like me." See what the writers can do when they aren't trying to puff Mophead? This storyline is going to be a doozy. No sign of Annabelle, who is 28 days gone, real time, who knows about soap time. Nor the duck, who I hope has a nice home with Maxie and Lucas. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe | OK, I love you, bye-bye!
