From: njs@lhdsy2.lahabra.chevron.com (N.J.Spera) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, December 7, 1994 Date: 8 Dec 94 16:56:46 GMT GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, December 7, 1994 Today's Stories Down in San Juan Returning to Port Charles Waiting in Port Charles Down in San Juan ---------------- In her hotel room Lucy is furious when she finds out from the front desk that Sonny has checked out without responding to either of the messages she left for him or to the message she left with Lois. Sometime later when the maid wants to clean her room Lucy takes the towels and as only Lucy can do convinces the maid she needs to mediate and that the room really doesn't need to be cleaned. She stuffs some $$ in the maid's hand. Meanwhile Damian and Katherine are winging their way to San Juan for Damian to claim his father's body. Damian remembers how when he was in school he would figure nothing had happened to his dad when he hadn't heard from him for a long time because he would have known. But this time he didn't feel anything and had to have Cusak tell him the news. Damian just hopes Luke has great powers of intuition for what Damian plans to put Luke through. Katherine wonders why Damian is all set to go after Luke. She thought they were going after the Qs first. But no, Luke was the one who orchestrated Damian's ouster from ELQ and cost Damian a lot of $$. Damian's tone worries Katherine that he's going to use violence. He always had a different style from Frank. Damian just laughs. Luke is on top of the payback list. And another on the list of those who have something to answer for is Sonny. Damian and Katherine head straight to the morgue to claim Frank's body. After signing the appropriate documents Damian arranges for Frank's body to be cremated. But there's one problem, the ashes won't be ready till the next morning. Damian and Katherine will have to spend the night on the island. Katherine suggests they go to the hotel where Miguel's concert was. Then Damian views his father's body. Damian is shaken and utters the line of the day, "What do you say Father, now do you believe in hell?" At the hotel Damian and Katherine's room isn't quite ready so they wait in the lobby. Damian is hit by his father being alone in death and Damian is afraid he'll end up the same way. Katherine tries to comfort him and to convince him he is not his father. Damian at least has a heart. She is there with him and now it's time to make others suffer like they have suffered. She'll be with him should he decide to take the reins of his father's empire (will she ever!) and together there's nothing they won't be able to do. A little later Lucy is walking across the lobby when she is stopped by a clerk from the pharmacy where Lucy had left her glasses. She thanks him but seems in a hurry and nervous. When Lucy turns around there are Damian and Katherine. Lucy drops her purchases and exclaims "Damian!." Returning to Port Charles ------------------------- Aboard the ELQ jet Sean wants to know from Sonny what happened in Puerto Rico. Sean wants a little privacy but Sonny figures there's nothing the others can't hear and Ned speak up that he is interested in hearing what happened. Sonny spins his tale but informs Sean that he had "declined" the meeting with Frank and that Frank was ok that Sonny was going to be strictly legit. Sean doesn't quite buy it but allows Sonny to continue. The others listen intently as you can see the wheels spinning in their heads, especially Ned and Miguel. Sonny also claims it was Lily who convinced Rivera to let them go. He neglects to tell Sean he had promised Rivera he'd watch over Lily. The big question now is "Where is Luke?" Sonny agrees to give a complete statement at PCPD headquarters when they get back. What follows on the plane are conversations between various couples. Miguel and Lily: Miguel voices his concerns about Sonny. All his problems started when Sonny got involved with his life but Lily trusts Sonny. Ned and Lois: Ned wants Sonny out of L&B because Ned doesn't want Lois or L&B to be at risk. Lois figures Ned will want to pick up the slack moneywise and wants no parts of that. She defends Sonny but Ned worries that Sonny is in over his head and that Lois will be caught in the crossfire. Ned does not want to lose Lois again. Lois will talk to Sonny. Sonny "can't" lie to her, they go back too far. Ned agrees to let Lois handle it her way for now. Brenda and Sonny: Brenda expresses her fears to Sonny that when they land their troubles will follow them. She wants to stay up in the clouds. Sonny tries to assure her that all will be fine and that he told Sean everything. (Sure Sonny) But there are too many loose ends. Sonny never figured Luke would come down to PR when he told him about the meeting but Sonny figures with Jack Boland's murder Luke wanted to get his family free and clear of Frank for all times. Brenda is glad to be going home. But Sonny isn't happy. He has to go and tell Laura Spencer her husband is missing. Ned and Brenda: Everyone else is sleeping as Ned motions to Brenda that he wants to talk. He compliments her on the great success of the concert. Then the ever sly Ned comments that Sonny seems to have spared no expense and asks how much was Sonny's initial investment speculating on a quarter of a million dollars. Brenda says no, maybe half that. Ned is impressed. Brenda figures out Ned is thinking of making a move on Sonny but Ned just laughs it off. Brenda warns Ned not to push Sonny aside. Brenda figures out that Ned wants to buy out Sonny to protect Lois but she tells him Sonny has gone legit and is done with his Frank Smith connections. Ned speculates that "the lady doth protest too much" but Brenda still asks Ned not to be concerned about Sonny's participation in L&B. But Ned is concerned and tells Brenda so should she. Back in Port Charles Miguel and Lily turn to Kelly's and her room. It looked like Miguel wanted to go farther than just kissing but Lily stopped him (I wouldn't have let him get that far). Waiting in Port Charles ----------------------- It's 4 am when Lucky discovers Laura sitting in the living room. She can't sleep and Lucky discovered Foster was missing from Lucky's bed. They are both worried about Luke. Lucky wonders what not hearing anything means. Laura tries to put a brave face on. Luke is just lying low until it's safe for him to contact them and return. Lucky peppers Laura with many more questions including why Sonny hasn't called either. Finally he asks the big one "What if Dad got killed?" Laura says no, if anything had happened to Luke she'd know. Sometime later when it's daylight a fully dressed Tiff comes downstairs to find a dozing Laura. Tiff tells Laura the news that Sean checked out of the hospital, went to the hotel and the whole PC crowd has checked out and is returning home. It's hard waiting for Laura. After eating Laura heads upstairs to check the baby when Tiff tells Laura the plane is due in soon. There's a key in the door and and just as Sean gets it unlocked Tiff is there to open the door. She gives him a crushing hug that causes Sean to wince but he still wants her hug. Sean invites Sonny in. Laura hears them, comes downstairs and asks, "Where is Luke?" It's a somber group as Sean tells Laura Luke is missing. Sonny tells the story one more time for Laura and Tiff. Sonny tries to convince Laura it was a tactical maneuver on Luke's part when Luke told Sonny to leave Luke. If Sonny had believed any differently he wouldn't have left Luke. Sean informs Laura that no trace has been found of Luke after an all afternoon search but that the search is resuming in the morning. Laura's response to say that "Luke is not dead" and she repeats it as tears stream down her face. Till Next Time -- Nancy J.
