                            GH Update for 12/02/94
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Scene 1
In a deja vu from Thursday, Sonny, Brenda, and Luke play Miami Vice in a high
speed boat getaway from bullet spewing bad guys. [Don Johnson also played a man
named Sonny. Coincidence? I think not.] Luke takes a slug and in defiance of
the laws of physics manages to fall forward out of the boat. Sonny immediately
pulls a U'y to pick him up, but Luke waves them off preferring to commune with
the crustaceans.
Scene 2
Felicia buffs the bar at the Outback as Kevin once again lectures her about her
reaction to Frisco's non-return. [Yawn]
Scene 3
While their abandoned boat sails on it's merry way, Sonny drags a waterlogged
Brenda out of the surf and throws her face down on the beach just before we get
a really satisfying shot of Brenda in her wet slip/dress. Of course, they
immediately begin making out "From Here To Eternity" style. [If you don't get
this reference, head to your local video store and rent the film.] [Being
kidnapped by homicidal hoods, getting shot at, jumping out of a speeding boat,
almost drowning, that Sonny really knows how to show a girl a good time. I'd
sure feel like getting romantic.]
Scene 4
Kevin continues to interrogate Felicia ad nauseam about Frisco. Tony shows up
and sides with Kevin, but Felicia is adamant.
Scene 5
Brenda asks Sonny about Luke. He kisses her. Brenda asks about the men after
them. He kisses her. [Take a cold shower FGC Sonny's]
Scene 6
Monica tells Edward he didn't have an actual heart attack just angina from
stress. She tells them she's postponing her trip to Arizona. They banter a bit
about his trial. Eventually, Steve Hardy comes in and Edward greets him with
snide comments about Steve's trial testimony. [Line of the day: when Edward
complains that he felt undignified during Monica's exam, Alan remarks, "We have
no place for dignity in a hospital." So true.]
Scene 7
Finally erect, (standing up that is) Sonny tells a whimpering Brenda about
Frank Smith's death and Luke's involvement. He tries to explain about the mob
power vacuum. [Jeez, woman, get a grip. You're dating a hood; what do you
expect?]
Scene 8
Lee Lee visits Lois and the Curly-Girly Man before the concert. They banter
about Lois and Ned. Lois admits she's forgiving Ned, but is worried he might
betray her again.
Scene 9
More Felicia rationalizing to Tony and Kevin about how she's happy without
Frisco.
Scene 10
Sonny and an exhausted Brenda try to hitch a ride to the concert area to warn
Lois and Miguel. Eventually, they make it back to the hotel where they
encounter a frantic Lucy who tells them she saw everything. Sonny asks about
Luke, but Lucy says he never resurfaced, and the police haven't found him. She
wants to help, but Sonny warns her to forget she saw them and go to the
concert.
Scene 11
More Lily and Miguel trash. Lois shows up with Miguel's outfit. She worries out
loud about where Sonny and Brenda are. Fortunately, they soon appear, and Sonny
tells Brenda there may be trouble.
Scene 12
Edward tells Steve he understands about why he had to testify, and they shake
hands in friendship. Edward tries to convince Monica or Alan to readmit him to
the hospital so he can avoid returning to court. They decline, of course.
Scene 13
Sonny and Brenda try to explain to an outraged Lois about Frank Smith, Lily's
father, Luke, and Miguel. Sonny tells her that after the concert she must rush
Miguel into a waiting limo and head for the airport. He tells Brenda that he's
going to see Rivera to set up a deal. Brenda is sure they'll kill him.
[Really? Send Miguel.] Sonny tries to reassure her.
Scene 14
Kevin continues to nag Felicia about her life choices. Mac arrives, and once
again, the guys decide they are right [how do you spell arrogant?], and she's
just rationalizing. Kevin comes up with the idea of throwing a male baby
shower.
Scene 15
Back at the concert, Lily's father arrives inconspicuously in a huge limo and
with half a dozen bodyguards. While a couple guys distract the security guards,
Rivera slips by.
Scene 16
Miguel is escorted to the stage under heavy security while Rivera watches
clandestinely.
Scene 17
Tony and Felicia discuss Frisco. [This story line is really becoming tedious.]
He says he's proud of her, but still furious at Frisco.
Scene 18
Miguel takes the stage amidst a wind, light, and smoke show. Fortunately, the
music was so loud you could barely hear him. [I'll leave it to some
affectionado of the Follicled Fop to describe his so-called musical
performance.] During the show, Ned surprises Lois by returning.
Scene 19
Rivera waits menacingly outside the concert area.
