EVERYONE BUT RUBY IS OUT TO GET LUKE

Laura is putting Lulu to bed and telling her about Frank Smith and how
they used to have to traipse all over running from him when Lucky was
little, when she hears on the radio that Smith is dead.  Tiffany comes
in at this point (Laura *still* doesn't look out first to see who she's
letting in!  Not very bright, given her history!) and tells Laura that
Frank shot Sean and Luke saved his life.  Laura is mad at Luke because
"we're supposed to be a team" and at Tiffany for telling Sean about
Puerto Rico.  Once Tiff assures herself that Laura will have Ruby come
over, Tiff sails off to the studio to wrap up the story. Never mind that
her beloved husband is lying in a hospital bed in Puerto Rico... Laura
continues to vent at Ruby.  She's mad because Luke went after Frank with
killing F. in mind.  She digresses into good marriages, and good ol'
aunt Ruby thinks Luke and Laura's is the best.  Luke can do no wrong.

Damian is stunned at the news of his father's death.  Katybell (OK,
fine, it was a weight fluctuation, then.  I'm in no position to judge.
After 5 kids and 25 years, I'd only gained 8 or so pounds, but in the
last 2.5 years, there's another 15, and they're hard to shake.  Another
Katherine question: did she say *25%* of ELQ yesterday?  It's 2.5%,
right?) *ahem* as I was saying, Katybell asks if Damian is in danger.
"Danger is a relative concept."  Yes, that's why she asked, because of
his relatives.  When Damian finds out from Cusak that Luke is the one
who killed dear old Dad, he vows revenge.  He will assume the mantle of
crime lord.  Kathering starts out a little appalled by this, but wealth
and power are really sexy, and so is revenge, so she will go to Puerto
Rico with Damian to reclaim the body.  Wait till she sees Lucy there!
Katherine wants to do it _right_ this time.

Lois wanders backstage absolutely sparkling (despite the rags-n-tatters
look she's wearing) with excitement.  She sees Miguel.  She's a little
annoyed that Sonny and Brenda aren't there, but "I know exactly what
they're up to..." Nope.  Her ideas are not all that accurate.  Ick-L
is happy Lily is there and he doesn't have to hide his feelings [then
why.... oh, never mind]

Sonny is striding across the beach and he hears Brenda (who is finally
paying the price for all the nosy times and the times she was
nasty to Karen) scream.  Sonny is working on the
Great-grandmother of all headaches, but he goes back to
the hotel looking for Luke.  Luke has a plan. He rents a boat, and Sonny
goes back to Rivera's.  He tosses a coin, one guard goes to investigate
and Sonny knocks him out.  He knocks on the door and makes the other
guard unconscious.  Unties Brenda and she won't stop babbling, but
he resists the temptation to knock her out too, and they start to run.
(And she never once waddles... I can well believe they were exhausted
after this filming.) In and out of hotels, down glass elevators and up
stairways, on the top of a cable car (I missed the spoiler that Sonny is
afraid of heights.  My HERO!), past Lucy who then watches the rest of
the chase through her convenient binoculars.  (Almost all she was wearing.)
Luke, at the boat, checks his gun 4-5 times.  Finally Sonny and Brenda are
running across the beach, they leap into the boat, Sonny driving while
Luke is exchanging shots with the bad guys, Luke takes a bullet and falls into
the water, but when Sonny circles back for him, Luke waves him off.
