                           General Hospital Updates

Early in the morning, Kevin walks into the Outback. Mac has just found where
files the toilet paper expenses - under Flowers and sundries. Mac marvels how
Felicia manages to keep straight books with such an idiosyncric system. He
offers Kevin sections of paper and coffee. Kevin chooses the comics and
ponders that since toilet paper is made of celluose ... Mac says no wonder
Kevin and Filly can speak to each other. Speaking of Filly, Kevin asks what
has been heard from Egypt. Mac says not much. Bobi walks in. She's off work
and just finished sending Max and Lucas to school. Bobi asks of Filly. She
then breaks the news of Monica's surgery. She wonders out loud how Tony is
doing in Egypt, Mac says no need to worry about the good doctor. Tiff comes
in and starts talking the EdQ trial, which is starting jury selection. She is
planning gavel-gavel coverage for the publics right to know, Kevin adds: "And
for the stations right to sweeps ratings" :) . Bobi can't imagine EdQ doing
murder, Tiff says he does have a violent temper. Kevin counters that this
murder was not of passion but of calculated political means and besides, how
do you collect evidence after 20 years. Tiff says lets ask the PI. Mac says
he rather not comment. Tiff takes this as meaning Mac is working for someone.
Mac wont answer any of Tiff's prompts. Robin comes in and no, no news from
Filly. Bobi and Tiff have a heart to heart about Bobi and Tony.

Filly, Tony, Frisco and TheOtherGuy (TOG) walk into a hotel bar. They sit at
a table after the owner gives Frisco the all clear. Frisco asks Filly how
pregnant she was, why wasn't he told earlier.  After the guys share a drink
(Filly abstained due to pregnancy) Frisco takes Filly upstairs to his room
where it is quiet and they can talk things over freely without strangers as
an audience. Frisco checks his 'trip wire' by his door to make sure no one
has broken, tells Filly to come on in and closes the door. He walks through
his entrance with its drapes of beads and asks Filly if she wants anything.
Knock on the door. Ooops, when he went in he slammed the door in Filly's
face! :) He says 'Sorry' and lets her in, walks through the beads and asks
Filly if she wants any tea. Filly can't answer since the beads swung back and
slapped in the face! :) [shades of the honeysuckle bush]. He says 'Sorry' and
asks if she wants to sit down or lie down. Filly answers with
                        L I N E   O F   T H E   D A Y
       "That's what got me in this situation in the first place."   They sit
next to each other and Filly starts her spiel. She tells Frisco that though
they used protection and she & Mac also did, she still get pregnant.
Therefore, she felt the baby special. Add to that the death of BJ right prior
to conception and the baby was a miracle. Frisco had asked how did who the
father was since she slept with him and Mac. She told him about the DNA test,
he got a bit upset that Mac knew so long ago. She brings up the point that
she had to tell Mac in order to get his blood sample. Now Friso is allready
on edge and Filly compounds it by telling she debated telling him and she
didn't expect him to do the 'Daddy' thing. She has managed quite well on her
on, thank you. He asks why did she come then. She said she was convinced by
others that he had rights. He asks what kind; legal,ethical or what? The way
she tells it, he is no better than an sperm donor ! [Her presentation did
make it sound that way.] Frisco accurately figures out what Filly's
assumptions were when she went looking for him. They bicker slightly and then
settle down. Frisco basically tells her that he will re-think his prior
decision and tell her what he decides. Filly gives him Max's gift, then lays
down to nap while Frisco mulls things over.

Tony and TOG get to talking. Tony makes the point that he and Frisco are not
that different. They both do what they can to make the world a better place.
Tony reveals the reason he always carry his scalpel kit is that he was once
in a restaraunt where he had to perform a procedure with a steak knife. TOG
is impressed with the weapon capabilities of a scalpel and how clean of blood
it would work. A belly dancer starts her performance. TOG informs him that
she picks out 1 customer to dance with, usually Frisco. [Can you guess what
would happen? I thought you could.] The dancer doesn't speak English so TOG
interperts her gestures, which really don't need any. When the time comes for
Tony to pay via
sex, he brings up the fact that he is married. He shows the dancer his ring.
She doesn't care. The two thugs from the bazzar show up. Tony shows a great
deal of bluster and scares off the thugs by throwing his scalpel at a picture
right in the eye. Thugs leave, TOG asks where did Tony learn to throw like
that. He just did. Tony says he got the same adreneline rush that he gets in
the operating room. TOG tells him he has a future in this business if being a
doctor gets too dull for him. Tony notes that the PC people would be shocked.
