General Hospital Update for Monday, November 7

But First, A Snippet of Latin overheard at Kelly's Diner:
Mea dilectissima! Farrago thunni! (My favorite! Tuna-noodle casserole!)

=============================================================================
In modified Johnny-style...
Lucy bursts into Kevin's office and whines that they missed Eddie Maine and
the Idle Rich at the Outback last night. She assumes that Ned bombed and
is sad she missed the scene. She is also gleeful that the Quartermaines were
(supposedly) embarrassed in public. At the Q manse, Ned comes down for
breakfast and takes some good-natured ribbing from AJ and Jason. Alan, Monica
and Lila all congratulate the Nedster on his triumph as Eddie Maine. Edward's
only comment is "well, now that you've got THAT out of your system it's time
to shitcan the music and get back to ELQ!" Ned states that music is part of
his life...period! AJ (the walking hormone) offers to help out with the
groupies. At the Brownstone, Bobbie asks Tony if he's still going to Cairo
with Filly. They start to bicker about his being selfish for leaving and her
being selfish for wanting him to continue with the couples counseling. Tony
tells her that the Cairo trip is a family thing with him. She accuses him of
running away [how could I leave her behind?? smirk!]. He replies that he
thinks they DO need therapy so they can get on with their lives...lives that
might not end up back in the same old marriage! Back at GH, Lucy tells Kevin
she's given his "Grace" problem a lot of thought and that they cannot move
forward unless they explore the past. Lucy needs to know who Grace was. She
says she needs to fight (the memory of) Grace and conquer her in order to bring
Kevin into the present. Only then can they get on with their relationship!
"She's in our way and I need to KNOW her so I can FIGHT her! Help me" Lucy
demands of Kevin. Meanwhile back at the manse, Ned whizzes into the gatehouse
and Brenda tells him how swell he was last night. He thanks her for being a
good friend to him. Lois enters and starts sniping at Ned. Brenda leaves so
Ned can talk to Lois alone. Back at the house, Alan and Monica make plans to
take the boys out to dinner [the Quartermaines speak Latin at a Chinese
Restaurant: Habesne "olyzam flictam?" Hae Hae Hae -- Do you have "flied lice?"
Ha Ha Ha]. Near the waterfront, Eddie the Q visits Mac and asks his help to
solve the 20-year-old Bradley Ward case. "Find the real killer" Edward
pleads; Mac agrees. Mac's first question is who would have benefitted from
Bradley's death. Edward names Jack Boland and Frank Smith. Back at the
gatehouse Ned and Lois start to go at it. He demands to know why she tried
to sabotage his gig at the Outback. Lois denies everything, especially Ned's
statement that the old sexual attraction thingy is still active. She pleads
with him to keep their relationship on a professional level and to stop staring
at her with his puppy-dog eyes. He gives her a long, puppy-dog look and
quietly leaves the gatehouse. Lois puddles up and looks miserable. Brenda
creeps out from where she'd been hiding/eavesdropping and gently puts her arms
around Lois. At GH, Kevin finally tells Lucy about Grace. They met at a
medical conference in Italy. Grace was a neurosurgeon and a babe. Kevin says
he was "addicted to" rather than "in love" with Grace and he believes their
mutual obsession was rooted in narcissism. They reflected each other's dark
sides. "Having Grace around was like having Ryan (twin) around, only more
intense" said Kevin. He tells Lucy that they carried their passion, their
emotions to extremes. Lucy says she cannot imagine so destructive a relation-
ship. Kevin presses on and describes the night Grace died. They fought and
Kevin says he stopped having conscious thought at some point; he only
remembers colors. He passed out, he thinks [or was he bonked on the head by
some unknown person??] and assumes Grace got in the car with him. Unbelievably
there's a knock on Kevin's door and the Bulwark enters. She breaks the spell.
Lucy gently kisses Kevin goodbye and says they'll talk more later. She exits.
Bobbie stares after her and makes a snippy remark that if Kevin is getting
involved with Lucy then Bobbie has serious doubts about his judgement. Kevin
tells her to "get bent" and asks her what the hell she wants [but nicely, in a
professional way]. Bobbie tells Kevin about the fight with Tony and his
going off to Cairo with Felicia. Kevin talks some sense into her Bulwarks and
puts the trip into perspective. He says that a couple of weeks won't have
much of an impact on the therapy; that is's a process that takes time. She
admits that the reason she's so upset is that she might be having second
thoughts about continuing with therapy. All she's gotten out of it so far,
she claims, is Tony dumping on her more and more. In another part of GH, Alan
and Monica wait in Dr. Helen's office for her test results. The doc gives
Monica bad news that there's a lump on the incision. They do a needle biopsy
which is inconclusive. Monica is devastated when Doc Helen wants to do a
more extensive biopsy the next day and use a real, big knife.

End of Monday' show...

Would that some brave Latin soul ask this of Miguel:
"Quomodo cogis comas tuas sic videri?"
(How do you get your hair to do that?)
