                            GH Update for 11/04/94
                            By John R. Andrews, UIC

Well, update readers. Have you grown in stature by using all the wonderful
foreign phrases you've learned here? This week's phrase can be used nicely by
married couples to add class to otherwise prosaic bickering.

terra incognita (Latin), an unknown region.

Previous conversation:
Wife: Why don't you stop and ask directions?
  Husband: No.
Wife: You stubborn jackass. We're lost.
New Conversation:
Wife: Why don't you stop and ask directions?
  Husband: No.
Wife: You stubborn jackass. We're in terra incognita.

I Think it's obvious which shows more class and breeding.

Scene 1
Bobbie, showing a bit of thigh, waits in Kevin's office for Tony to begin their
first joint therapy session. When he finally arrives a bit late, they begin.
Scene 2
The Q's gather for coffee and a meeting with Edward's hotshot lawyer. He
starts by questioning Edward about the facts surrounding Bradley Ward's murder.
Scene 3
Brenda and Lois discuss who to invite to see Ned & the Idle Rich at the
Outback. Lois has drawn up a long list of people she wants to attend.
Scene 4
The lawyer is less than confidence building but zeros in on Frank Smith's
involvement and later criminal activities. Ned suggests they get Mac to
investigate any possible connection between Jack Boland and Frank Smith. Lois
virtually explodes into the room and proceeds to invite all the Q's to Ned's
concert that night at the Outback, then buttonholes AJ out on the veranda to
ask if there's anyone she should ask to tweak Ned; he suggests Damian Smith. As
an additional torment for Ned, she has AJ whisper in her ear while she strokes
his face knowing Ned will be spying through the window.
Scene 5
During therapy, Bobbie relates a story from her childhood about a picture of a
boat secured to the dock by a rope during a storm. She says Tony was that rope
for her, and she missed the love. Tony countered that the love was obviously
not enough since she let Damian do what he did and destroyed their marriage.
Scene 6
Felicia tells Mac she's made plans to go to Cairo. He is very concerned about
her traveling to terra incognita while being pregnant.
Scene 7
In an emotional therapy scene, Bobbie and Tony express their respective
positions, but finally, with help from Kevin, they make a small step forward.
Bobbie takes responsibility for what happened, and Tony agrees to stop blaming
everything on her and Damian. They also decide to schedule two sessions a
week.
Scene 8
Lois catches Damian outside his hotel room and says she's got an invitation for
him. He invites her in, and they banter a bit about Katherine and a band that
he and Ned had years ago. Eventually, she gets down to inviting him to the
Outback, an invitation he readily accepts.
Scene 9
At the Outback, Felicia chats with the Singing Sasquatch about her trip to find
Frisco and about his nonanger-anger for Lily.
Scene 10
All of PC gathers to hear Ned amidst plenty of table talk. Simone and the
Hardy's discuss Tom; AJ ogles Lois; Luke and Damian exchange verbal barbs;
Brenda expresses worry to Sonny that Ned may not be able to take the strain.
Tony suggests that he accompany Felicia to Cairo. She accepts much to the
disappointment of Bobbie who accuses Tony of leaving to avoid therapy. He
denies it.
Scene 11
The show begins with a rousing rendition of "Seventh Son" which receives a
standing ovation. After a second more intimate ballad primarily directed to
Lois, Ned get congrats all around, but Lois runs out. He catches her outside,
but she is still a hardass.
Scene 12
Bobbie and Tony argue about his trip. She asks him to reconsider. Felicia asks
Tony not to do it just for her if it will cause trouble. He says it's for his
brother.
Scene 13
Lily tells the Mumbling Mongrel, "My heart is about to break." [Sorry, I
couldn't watch this whole scene. I mean REALLY it is so bad that I'm forced to
FF it.]
Scene 14
Mac and Ned discuss his performance and failure to win back Lois. Mac
fantasizes that Eddie Main comes to talk to him to say the music is dead
without Lois.
