From: njs@lhdsy2.lahabra.chevron.com (N.J.Spera) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, November 2, 1994 Date: 3 Nov 94 17:11:13 GMT GENERAL HOSPITAL Wednesday, November 2, 1994 Today's Stories The Taming of the Shrew The Blind Leading the Blind The Bad News The ANGRY One The Taming of the Shrew ----------------------- While Lois is setting up a tour day from hell for Eddie, Brenda tries to get Sonny to say something as she figures it'll be the death of Ned. Sonny agrees to take care of it as Lois informs the person on the other end "Brenda" will be in charge. Sonny remarks on Lois' enthusiasm. Yea, she is excited. She figures Ned won't be able to handle it and will fold. He can't have it all. Then Lois orders Brenda to get Ned down to the studio in the afternoon to run some tracks. Brenda's also to set up a rehearsal for the band for the next afternoon so they are ready for a Friday night gig at the Outback. Brenda's not convinced Ned will show but if he doesn't Lois will gladly take him and the Q's to court. Brenda tries to tell Ned about Lois' dawn to midnight plans for him but the plans don't faze him. Even the gig at the Outback is fine with him. He has a new attitude. If it's what Lois wants he'll do it. He is willing to do anything to prove to Lois that he is committed to the band and to her. As far as the family he's out of the closet musically and besides they are much more preoccupied with criminal indictments, political activism, and cancer survival to have the time or energy to jeer him on. Meanwhile at the Outback Lois has sprung the gig on Mac. At first Mac thinks Mophead is going to sing. That's fine with him but when he finds out it's Eddie Maine and the Idle Rich she wants to book Mac is wary after what the lead singer pulled the last time. Lois tries to sell him on what a great draw "Ned Ashton in leather pants" will be and as she does Mac notices the gleam in her eye. He figures she's still trying to make Ned's life miserable. It's a deal. Later in the studio Ned is warming up his vocal cords and really gets \ enthusiastic when Lois comes in. Lois throws orders at him to save his voice for the Outbakc etc, via Brenda to which Ned says he'll be fine. When Lois leaves the room Ned bemoans that it's no fun when she won't fight with him. He sails off into a "Taming of the Shrew" fantasy. [The first of the Wally spoilers.] Lois as Kate isn't happy to be "a broad named Katherine" even if it is Ned's fantasy. He tries to get her to play along but Lois suggests Ned would be better as Pinocchio than as Petruccio. They play out the fantasy. Ned thinks it could be theraputic as he accuses her of having no moxy and being unable to take it as well as she can dish it out. They end up in each other's arms at the end as Petruccio carries Katherine off. When it's over Ned announces that "it ain't over till it's over" and walks out as Lois looks on wondering what he's been thinking. Sometime later Brenda and Sonny are talking about the Outback gig in Sonny's apartment and Sonny sees $$. Brenda notices a scarf that isn't hers. It's Lily's and the ugly green monster rears his head. Sonny explains about Lily and Miguel's baby when Brenda asks if Lily stops by often. Brenda quips.. "The intrigue in this town never stops." The Blind Leading the Blind --------------------------- Just as Lucy puts down the phone after not making a call Kevin knocks at the door with flowers in hand. Lucy figures it's ESP so Kevin wonders if she was calling to say hello or goodbye. Kevin can't stop thinking about Lucy and he finds out she can't stop thinking about him. She's had a hard time believing what he told her about Grace and to Lucy's dismay Kevin tells her he didn't make it up as a test. In fact Kevin hasn't had much sleep lately and hasn't even closed his eyes. He spends his time staring into the water so he can try to understand what Grace might have been thinking in those last moments before she died. Lucy goes into analytical mode as she wonders if his morbid fascination with water is why the lighthouse appealed to him. He figures, yes that and the fact that a murder took place there. Kevin stretches out on the couch in Lucy's office. He relates that he stares at the water so that he doesn't forget he was responsible for Grace's death. Lucy tries to point out it was an accident after he tells her about the inquest and tries to get him to let go, even so far as to perform a "lobotomy" on himself so to speak and cut out Ryan at the same time. They get around to discussing his father and when Kevin admits his father loved Kevin unconditionally Lucy questions if it's his mother that Kevin is trying to please. With that Kevin tells her to stop. He's the analyst and he doesn't want any role reversal. Lucy points out once again Kevin is shutting down. He needs to take some of his own advice. Kevin leaves and Lucy follows. She trails him into the Outback. He doesn't appreciate the blind leading the blind. Lucy offers to be an objective ear but as Kevin points out she isn't really objective since she has a vested interest. Lucy tries to use herself as a role of someone who isn't perfect and gets sleep and dreams wonderful dreams but Kevin points out she hasn't killed anyone. Kevin wonders if Lucy isn't trying to make him a weird combination of himself, Damian and Luke. Lucy then gets the bright idea that Kevin needs closure with regard to Grace. And goes on and on with that idea. Kevin isn't buying it especially when Lucy suggests he needs to back to that time. The Bad News ------------ Ned's humming is annoying Edward as they sit in the Quartermaine den. Edward can't take much more of the speculation in the press but Ned waxes poetic that this too will pass. Then in comes Sean, unannounced by Reginald, leading Edward to comment what's a butler for when he lets someone come in unannounced. Sean has bad news for Edward. The DA is telling Lee and Sean is there to tell Edward. He's been indicted for the murder of Bradley Ward. ...[cliffhanger] ...now for those not interested Mophead...hit n or delete... The ANGRY One ------------- Lily and Mophead go at it again. He's so ANGRY with her for withholding the truth about his son that he could care less that she was afraid of her father and afraid that even if she had called Miguel to tell him of her pregnancy her father would have had Mophead killed. He would have taken care of her and the baby. [Right from 6 feet under!!] He calls her a coward. She leaves and heads over to Sonny's where she wants to know why Sonny did this to her and Mophead. [Hurray, she's not bad away from Mophead] Sonny comforts her and finds out all is not well with the two from PR. Lily tells Sonny about the baby and Sonny immediately understands the reason she didn't tell Mophead was her father. Sonny advises her to give it time. He waxes poetic about fathers and sons and the unexpected loss Mophead has experienced. Sonny also encourages her to come to him again. Meanwhile over at the Outback Lois sees her other singer arrive in a sour mood. She tries to get to the root of it and finally drags out that he and Lily are having troubles. He won't tell her why just that he's been betrayed. That Lois can understand and advises him to get mad and not to let anyone talk him into letting go of his anger...and to wear it as a badge of honor. Later Felicia is all excited as she tells Mophead about Ned's appearance at the Outback Friday night but gets no response from Mophead. He agrees to tell her what's wrong so he can help her make her decision about telling her baby's father. [I don't think the situations are the same Miguel!!] All Mophead sees is Lily's decision to cut him out. Felicia brings up the point that it is Lily's body but Mophead can't see that and wonders where the man is in the situation. He asks Felicia to think of him when she makes her decision about telling Frisco. After her talk with Sonny Lily stops by the Outback to tell Mophead she's sticking around and will wait until she forgives him, because if she loses him she will have lost everything. He tells her it will be a very long time. Till Next Time -- Nancy J. Spera aka Tangy # If I didn't know for a fact that # Chevron Petroleum Technology Co. F Elvis was working in a donut shop N P.O.
