          General Hospital Update for Tuesday, October 10

A couple of personal observations:

Bobbie Haircut -- I LIKE it!  Much more suitable than her old "ravish-me
Southern girl white-trash" hairdo.  The shorter hairdo gives her a professional
look; it also makes her look more exotic and shows off her (much lifted) face
to better advantage.  Those long curls of her simply screamed WHORE in my
opinion.  And besides, she's WAY WAY too old to go for the baby-doll look.

Quartermania -- Whoever coined this brilliant word to describe the Q family
in action should get a medal!  Priceless!

KatyBell Poisoning -- I think she did it herself, but misjudged the effects of
the drugs when mixed w/alcohol.

And now, on with the show in a "stream of consciousness" style...

The Nedling seeks Lois in the gatehouse, but finds The Missing Link instead.
At Kelly's, Luke is explaining Frank Smith's money laundering scheme to Ruby.
He's going to prove that Damian bought into ELQ with dirty money from Pa.
At May-Mae's house, Edward tells her, with emotion, that he didn't kill
Bradley.  He says he really believed Bradley had committed suicide. MM says
she won't tell Sean about Bradley's paternity. Justus strolls into the room
just then and glares at Edward.  Lois and Brenda arrive at the gatehouse; soon
thereafter Brenda and Link-boy leave. Nedling starts his usual rap but Lois
angrily interrupts him and tells him to just go away, to give up on their
relationship because she certainly has.  Ned says he'll never let her go. Lois
shows him the door.  Justus refuses to shake Edward's hand and generally acts
churlishly. Edward says he just stopped by to assure MM that he didn't have any
part in Brad's death. After Edward leaves, Justus tears into May-Mae; he wants
to know the "real" reason Edward was there and accuses MM of still keeping
information from him.  MM finally ends up yelling at Justus that Edward did
NOT kill Bradley. Justus continues to run his mouth. After Lois kicked him out
of the gatehouse, Ned ambled up to the mansion and joined Alan who was having a
celebratory drink in the living room. Alan is giddy with relief that the Ray
Conway investigation is dead.  Ned is angry, though, and he and Alan squabble
over Lois, Katherine, bigamy, true love, etc. Alan pokes gentle fun at Ned and
his rock n'roll personna, especially wearing leather pants.  Edward joins
them, then, in a large tub of scotch. The maid walks in and announced that Luke
Spencer has arrived. Luke joins the Q's and claims that the information
contained in the envelope he's holding is the ruination of Damian Smith!  The
Q's prick up their ears and Luke explains.  He says that inside the envelope
is information that exposes Frank Smith's money laundering scheme through the
Bank of Hong Kong/Canton. Luke avers that Frank's dirty money was given to
Damian and said money was used by D to buy his way into ELQ.  So, what will
the Q's offer for Damian's castanets?  Edward quickly offers $50K, then $75K.
Alan says the Q's will build a wing onto GH and name it after Luke.  He turns
them down, however, and says his price for the information is the junking of
the toxic waste thingy.  "No can do" says Edward, "Ned has all the votes on
anything to do with the Toxic Incinerator!"  Ned says the toxic mess WILL be
built.  Luke backs down but names his second price: Eddie the Q and the rest
of the family/ELQ will support Justus' bid for the PC City Council.  Edward
quickly agrees; Ned is aghast and warns of future trouble if Justus gets on
the city council.  The deal is struck, however, and Luke turns the envelope
over to Edward.
